Horizon Ridge Animal Hospital

I had a very scary situation with my Dog today, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this establishment. I normally go to their sister location in Boulder City. My dog had a seizure and went limp at the river and I was frantically trying to find a vet to see her on a Sunday as I was driving from the river. They were very patient with me as my cell service kept going in and out of service and dealing with me as I was having a hard time to control my emotions. After they felt like I should be arriving they called to check up on me to see if I was close or lost. They met me at the door to get my dog seen immediately. Money is very relative, and I would have spent anything…. However they were very fair in the cost in my opinion. I was expecting it to be at least 5x. I am very lucky to still have my best friend snoring next to me. Thank you

I brought my dog in for a 10:45 appointment. Arrived at 10:40. After sitting for 10 minutes I was told my appointment time was 11:30 and they would do what they could to get me in sooner. I showed the receptionist my text from Horizon Ridge Animal Hospital confirming appointment location, date and time. She confirmed the text but said she did not know how the appointment got moved - her system shows 11:30. Obviously someone moved the appointment to a later time but neglected to inform me. I was expected to wait for 45 minutes for a mistake made by an employee. I guess this is what happens when your business gets so big you no longer care about customer service. Time for me to find a new veterinarian.

Last week our boxer dog had puppies. The owner took one our puppies that was not breathing well. Emergency or not emergency told us the pup was dehydrated, temperature was too low and not well fed. In 5 hours was able to take the dog home and it was a miracle that it was like new. Now he gain 6 puppies and mommy and dad to include 2 chihuahuas. I am retired Military and the best Air Force Thunderbirds so I have seen how it was presented and very high caliber for any animal. This is the place where my dogs will go get medical advice and never discuss price, but at the end it was better than others. Thank for the whole staff and doctors they know how pets are family to customers.

Do not use this hospital!!! We brought in my old dog, in pain, urinating in the house, barely able to stand, to be put down. They refused to put her down and demanded we continue pumping her full of expensive pain pills. Do your job! Our baby is suffering and you refused to do what's right by her. Money grubbing monsters!

In April, my dog started bleeding from his nose and his mouth. I took him into the vet. The vet didn't touch him. She had my daughter open his mouth. The vet said that he had an ulcer on the top of his mouth and that he had an abscess tooth. She put him on antibiotics and some pain medication and sent us home, a couple weeks later we brought him in again because his head was sinking in on top. He was bleeding from his nose, The vet said that he had an abscess tooth and that he needed to get it removed and a cleaning. I asked the vet about his head sinking in, and he told me it was muscle loss because he was overweight, I scheduled an appointment to get his tooth pulled and a cleaning for the following Monday. They gave me an estimate of almost $2400. I had a feeling that something else was wrong and ended up taking him back to the original vet that he had seen when he was a puppy. The vet walked in the room looked at me and said unfortunately, your boy has cancer. She said the bleeding from the nose and the head sinking in our definitely signs of cancer.. we ended up doing a scope and his nose was blocked from the tumor. There was nothing more that we could do. Unfortunately, we had to put him to sleep a couple days later. I ended up calling Horizon Ridge animal Hospital and letting them know what happened. The lady I talk to originally was very sweet a office manager ended up calling she was apologetic. And assured me that the Male vet that we see no longer works there I hung up with the understanding that she was going to talk to the boss and somebody would give me a call back. It's now been over a month. Nobody's called me back I I would never bring my animal back to this place, and I strongly encourage whoever is reading this to never ever bring their dogs there. My dog was misdiagnosed not once, but twice by this place, and they had no problem taking my money. Nothing would have changed the outcome, but I just wish that he could've been diagnosed at the end of April instead of in June, and all that time he was suffering.
