Welcome to Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services

Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services, located at 147 Center Cambridge Rd, Valley Falls, NY 12185, USA, operates as a "Pet Hospital" dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care. This clinic stands out for its unique ability to cater to a diverse range of animals, from cherished household pets to essential farm animals, signifying a broad scope of expertise within the veterinary field. The clinic's commitment to personalized and empathetic service has earned it a strong reputation among its existing clientele in Valley Falls and the surrounding regions.

The environment at Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services is characterized by its personable and empathetic staff, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both animals and their owners. While explicit details about the facility's aesthetic are not provided, the recurring themes of "personable" and "empathic staff" suggest a clinic where client comfort and animal well-being are prioritized. This implies a warm, friendly, and professional setting where pet owners feel heard and their concerns are addressed with genuine care. For a veterinary service that handles both small and large animals, this suggests a well-organized facility with appropriate spaces and equipment to manage different species safely and effectively, whether it's a calm examination room for a dog or specialized areas for larger livestock examinations.

As a versatile "Pet Hospital," Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services offers a wide array of veterinary care, likely encompassing both small animal and large animal services, given its name. This broad scope is a significant advantage for a rural community like Valley Falls, where comprehensive care for various species is often needed. Their services likely include:

  • Comprehensive Wellness and Preventative Care: For both small pets (dogs, cats) and large animals (horses, cattle, goats, etc.), this would involve routine health check-ups, vaccinations tailored to specific species and their environments, and effective parasite control programs. This foundational care aims to prevent disease and maintain optimal health throughout an animal's life.
  • Diagnostic Services: Equipped to perform various diagnostic tests, which could include in-house laboratory services for blood work and other analyses, as well as on-site examinations and potentially mobile services for larger animals. Accurate diagnosis is crucial for effective treatment plans.
  • Medical Treatment for Illnesses and Injuries: Providing expert medical attention for a wide range of conditions affecting both small and large animals, from common ailments to more complex diseases and injuries. This would involve developing tailored treatment protocols and managing ongoing health issues.
  • Surgical Procedures: While not explicitly detailed, a comprehensive veterinary service like Hoof 'n' Paw would typically offer common surgical procedures for small animals (e.g., spaying/neutering, soft tissue surgeries) and potentially field surgeries for large animals.
  • Dental Care: Essential for the overall health of all animals, this would include routine dental examinations and necessary procedures for both small and large animals.
  • Emergency and Urgent Care: Although the information indicates they are not currently accepting new clients, a first-rate veterinary service often provides support for urgent medical needs for their existing patient base.
  • Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on appropriate diets and feeding plans customized for the specific needs of various animal species, addressing health conditions, growth, and overall well-being.
  • Farm Animal Health Management: For large animals, this would involve herd health management, breeding services, and addressing specific agricultural needs.

The standout features of Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services, based on client feedback, are its highly personable, knowledgeable, and empathetic staff. Clients consistently praise the team for being "absolute 1st rate Vet service, with very empathic staff." This highlights a genuine care for the animals and their owners, going beyond mere medical treatment to provide emotional support and understanding. The "knowledgeable" aspect ensures that pets receive the best possible medical advice and treatment plans, backed by expertise and experience. The emphasis on "fair pricing" is another significant feature, making quality veterinary care accessible and transparent for the community, which is crucial for pet owners managing healthcare costs.

A critical point to note, however, is the current client status. While existing clients rave about the service, one review explicitly states that the clinic is "not accepting new clients." This suggests a high demand for their services and a commitment to maintaining excellent care for their current patient base, which sometimes necessitates limiting new intakes. While this might be disappointing for those seeking new veterinary care, it indirectly reinforces the quality and desirability of their services, as a practice that is at capacity often signifies high satisfaction among its existing clientele.

Regarding promotional information, the strongest endorsement for Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services comes directly from the positive experiences of their satisfied customers. The phrase "Hands down the best veterinarian office around!" is a powerful testament to their quality. The consistent praise for "personable, knowledgeable, fair pricing" and "very empathic staff" serves as the most effective form of promotion, speaking to their core values and service excellence. Despite the current limitation on accepting new clients, the word-of-mouth recommendations and the glowing reviews highlight that this clinic is highly regarded within its community. For potential clients, even if they cannot immediately join, understanding the reasons behind such high demand—namely, the exceptional care and compassionate approach—is valuable. For existing clients or those hoping to become clients in the future, Hoof 'n' Paw Veterinary Services can be reached at (518) 677-8551 or +1 518-677-8551 for inquiries regarding their services or potential future availability for new patients.

If you haven’t been here or know someone don’t even bother puts me on hold for 10 minutes just to tell me they aren’t accepting new clients…. Not like my dog needs medical attention or anything… prime example why the medical industry is as joke and all about money

I can never be more thankful to this team for the wonderful care provided to my Juneau over the years. I am especially grateful for the kindness and compassion they showed to me on one of the most difficult days of my life; my sincere gratitude to Angel and Jack!

I recently moved to the area and I needed a same day appointment for my cat and they got me in right away. When I got there I was immediately taken back and they got us in and out in 30 mins. Dr. Kittrel explained everything in detail. Everyone was very kind. I’m happy to have such a knowledgeable and helpful vet so close by.

I have been with Hoof n Paw since 2012 when I rescued my little girl. I live almost 45 minutes, if not more, away from the office and it's worth the drive. Not only is Dr. Kittel warm and friendly, but he is caring and does not push any unnecessary testing or treatments. I could easily go to another place that is much closer to home, but I know I will never get the care we receive at Hoof n Paw.
