Hollin Hall Animal Hospital

Just wanted to drop a quick message to rave about our experience with Hollin Hall Animal Hospital, since we moved to Fort Hunt in 2021. Since we started using them, we haven't taken our furry friend anywhere else. They've been incredibly accommodating and so informative throughout our visits. They really go above and beyond to make sure our 75lbs drama queen feels comfortable and well-cared for. It's amazing how they've managed to gain his trust over time! We've tried other vets in Alexandria, but nothing compares to our time at Hollin Hall. Our pup is like a totally different dog during vet appointments now. It's such a relief to see him less stressed and more relaxed. If you're in need of a fantastic veterinary clinic, we can't recommend Hollin Hall enough. The care they provide is top-notch, and we're truly grateful for their expertise and kindness.

This place was great when Dr Fanton was still there but since she left this whole office has gone downhill and I'm glad I changed vets. Every week I still get emails that there is no Doctor present in the office and no appointments or prescriptions can be made/filled and to go to the emergency vet if there are any issues. I ran into this issue when my senior dog NEEDED a prescription refill on a Friday. The front desk kept on giving me the run around telling me that the Doctor wasn't there but they will call her. Hours later no response, so I call back and they tell me to come back on Monday, NO he NEEDS the medicine today or else he'll suffer through the weekend. They then proceeded to tell me to email the doctor on Friday afternoon. My angrily called back and they got another doctor to fill the prescription. Also the medication was $50 compared to $7 what I usually pay at the pharmacy. After this incident I immediately started taking my dog to another vet.

We have always had really good experiences at Hollin Hall Animal Hospital. Our senior cats who passed away 5 years ago went there and now our two 6+ year old cats are going here. (We were away in New England 4 years) but we are happy to be back. Dr. Gill is patient and reassuring with our cats. You will be happy to take your animals here, no worries!

Not sure what happened to this place. Been going there for years. They don't even answer phones anymore. Instead, there's an automated system that has limited recognition. All I wanted was to pick up a paper prescription for the routine flea and tick medication. I've left messages, I've used the chat feature, but to no avail. Looks like it's time to find another vet.

Hollin Hall Animal Hospital has always been very responsive and helpful with Calicfer. I've always had all my (many) questions answered, my pup is never scared and I always feel he is being treated with the best care possible. It's never easy dealing with patients who cannot speak for themselves so I'm thankful that the people who work here are diligent in taking so much care.
