Heron's Crossing

I found myself unexpectedly needing this service over the weekend for my 9 year old dog. Colleen was so sweet and helpful while scheduling. She went above and beyond to express her sympathies and condolences. The communication from the scheduling phone call to the very end of the appointment was truly amazing. Dr. Jo arrived at our scheduled time and showed us so much kindness. She let us take our time saying goodbye as we were still in shock that this was happening. She explained exactly what to expect before moving forward. She was not only incredibly patient but also gentle and loving to my boy in his last moments. I can’t thank Heron’s Crossing, Colleen, and Dr. Jo enough. I will always be grateful for their kindness and compassion during one of the hardest days I’ve ever faced. Thank you so much.

Heron's Crossing came out yesterday to help my senior kitty, Dublin, transition to his next stage. They were able to come out same day as Dublin had taken a sudden turn for the worse and we were not sure he would make it through the night. Lauren (Laura) was so incredibly kind and patient on the phone. Dr. Jo came out to the house and I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and loving end to Dublin's 17 years on this planet. Dr. Jo is an absolute angel and gift to this world. Thank you so so much for crossing him over with dignity, honor, and love.

Today was one of the hardest days myself and my husband have had in our marriage. Dr. Lauren made today so much easier. She was kind, compassionate, and supportive in this process. She came into our home and soothed our baby as she crossed into the afterlife. She gave us space to grieve and say goodbye, while also being supportive and making sure we knew what to expect at each step. My husband and I genuinely believe Dr. Lauren is an angel sent to earth to help usher our fur babies into the afterlife—she has a gift. I don’t wish this experience on anyone, but if you have to help your baby to the other side, please use this service. We have so much closure and peace with our baby’s passing due to Dr. Lauren’s peaceful, kind presence. Thank you, Dr. Lauren. You have touched our lives in such a meaningful way.

When I found myself and my first dog in need of end-of-life care and the important decisions that needed to be made, Dr. K came into the home that our rescued boy was familiar with and comfortable in. She helped us make the right decision, and assisted us in our home with grace and empathy. I can’t imagine going through this process without Heron’s, and they brought us an immeasurable amount of relief and peace to an impossible situation. Thank you to everyone at Heron’s Crossing. I highly recommend their services.

I am immensely saddened to have lost my beloved Toby today 12/19/24 but am relieved to have received a wonderful care in the hands of Dr. Payne. She was very sweet and patient in explaining the procedure. Although my little one passed away naturally before the start of the initial appointment, Dr. Payne provided support and allowed me to grieve as long as I felt. She listened upon my experience of having a pet rabbit for 8 years and allowed me to keep a keepsake of his hair and paws. I am beyond pleased to have had her be gentle with my little one and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’s in need of these kinds of services. May our fur babies live happily ever after and may we find the peace to know they are striving upon across the rainbow bridge🪽✨.
