I have been with Heritage about 20 years. The front desk staff are patient, professional, pleasant and go beyond great customer service. I started my dogs and cats with Dr. Landers and never had a reason to switch. He is very good and is extremely patient to explain and educate issues personal to my pets. He answers questions and is extremely informative. Ashley, the groomer, is awesome. She, too, is very patient and good. Our dogs look beautiful after leaving her!

Welcome to Heritage Veterinary Hospital
Heritage Veterinary Hospital, located at 4011 S 79th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74145, USA, is a well-established and highly regarded institution within the "Pet Hospital" category. Accessible via phone at (918) 627-8575 or mobile at +1 918-627-8575, this hospital has built a strong reputation for providing comprehensive and compassionate veterinary care to the Tulsa community for an extended period, spanning at least two decades as evidenced by client testimonials. Their commitment to excellent customer service, patient education, and a broad range of pet care services, including grooming, makes them a significant resource for local pet owners. This introduction will provide a detailed overview of Heritage Veterinary Hospital, covering its environment, services, distinguishing features, and promotional insights, all objectively derived from the provided information and valuable customer reviews.
The environment at Heritage Veterinary Hospital, as a full-service "Pet Hospital," is designed to be welcoming, professional, and efficient. One can anticipate a well-maintained and clean facility that prioritizes the comfort and safety of its animal patients and their human companions. The reception area is likely spacious and organized, fostering a pleasant first impression. The description of the front desk staff as "patient, professional, pleasant and go beyond great customer service" suggests an atmosphere of warmth and helpfulness right from the moment a client enters. This focus on customer experience extends to making clients "feel very comfortable and welcome," even for those who are not regular patients. Examination rooms would be equipped with the necessary tools for thorough check-ups and consultations, designed to be calm spaces to minimize pet anxiety. As a comprehensive hospital, it would house specialized areas including a sterile surgical suite for operations, a diagnostic imaging area (for X-rays, ultrasound), an in-house laboratory for rapid test results, and comfortable hospitalization wards for pets requiring recovery or extended care. The presence of a groomer, Ashley, implies a dedicated grooming space, which would also be clean and equipped for pet comfort. The overall physical environment is clearly complemented by a highly supportive and friendly staff culture, creating a reassuring and positive atmosphere for both routine visits and urgent care situations. The location on S 79th E Ave suggests good accessibility within Tulsa, likely with convenient parking for clients.
Heritage Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive suite of services that fully align with the expectations of a "Pet Hospital," catering to the diverse health needs of dogs and cats. Their core offerings include **routine wellness and preventative care**, which is foundational to long-term pet health. This encompasses thorough annual physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols (for diseases such as Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Feline Leukemia, etc.), and effective parasite control programs (heartworm prevention, flea, and tick management). The hospital is well-equipped for **advanced diagnostic services**, likely featuring an in-house laboratory for rapid blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis, enabling quick and accurate diagnoses. Digital radiography (X-rays) would be available for imaging bones and internal organs, and potentially ultrasound for more detailed soft tissue assessments. **Surgical services** are a significant component, ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries, performed in sterile operating suites with meticulous anesthesia monitoring and pain management. **Dental care**, including professional cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments, is crucial for preventing systemic health issues stemming from poor oral hygiene. Beyond medical treatments, Heritage Veterinary Hospital also uniquely offers **professional grooming services**, with Ashley being specifically lauded for her patience and excellent results, making dogs "look beautiful." The ability to secure an appointment "within 45 minutes" for a sick dog, even as a non-regular client, indicates their capacity for handling **urgent care situations** during business hours, providing timely assistance when pets are unwell. This broad spectrum of services, from preventative to critical care and ancillary services like grooming, positions Heritage as a holistic pet care provider.
The distinguishing features of Heritage Veterinary Hospital, as a prominent "Pet Hospital," are strongly highlighted by its long-standing positive reputation and exceptional staff. A key feature is the **longevity and consistency of high-quality care**, as evidenced by a client being with them for "about 20 years" and having "never had a reason to switch." This demonstrates sustained excellence and client trust. The **expertise and patience of its veterinarians**, specifically Dr. Landers and Dr. Briar, are a significant differentiator. Dr. Landers is praised for being "very good" and "extremely patient to explain and educate issues personal to my pets," emphasizing a strong commitment to client education and clear communication. Dr. Briar and her tech are described as "just as awesome," creating a comfortable and welcome environment for new clients, even in urgent situations. The **exceptional customer service from the front desk staff** is another standout feature; they are consistently described as "patient, professional, pleasant and go beyond great customer service." This warm and efficient first impression sets a positive tone for the entire visit. The integration of **professional grooming services** with an "awesome" groomer like Ashley, who also exhibits patience and delivers beautiful results, adds significant value and convenience for pet owners, providing a comprehensive care solution under one roof. The hospital's capacity for **prompt urgent care appointments** (within 45 minutes) for non-regular clients showcases their responsiveness and dedication to animal welfare beyond their existing patient base. This combination of medical excellence, compassionate staff, and client-centric convenience truly sets Heritage Veterinary Hospital apart.
For promotional information, Heritage Veterinary Hospital would strategically leverage its long-standing reputation, comprehensive services, and exceptional staff. Their promotions would heavily feature **testimonials** from loyal, long-term clients, emphasizing the "20 years" of trust and the consistent high quality of care. They would highlight the **expertise and compassionate approach of their veterinarians**, like Dr. Landers and Dr. Briar, and their commitment to patient education. The **outstanding customer service of their front desk staff** would also be a key promotional point, ensuring potential clients understand they will have a pleasant and professional experience from the moment they call or walk in. The integration of **professional grooming services** by Ashley would be a unique selling proposition, offering convenience and quality. The "new client discount," as mentioned in a review, is a powerful promotional tool to attract first-time visitors and encourage them to experience Heritage's care firsthand. This would likely be advertised on their website, social media, and possibly through local print or digital ads. Seasonal promotions for preventative care (e.g., heartworm testing, flea/tick prevention) or specific services (e.g., dental cleanings) would also be utilized. Their easily accessible phone numbers, (918) 627-8575, would be prominently displayed across all marketing materials to facilitate inquiries and appointment bookings. Community engagement, such as participating in local pet events, sponsoring animal welfare initiatives, or offering educational seminars, could further enhance their visibility and demonstrate their commitment to the Tulsa community. The overall promotional message would underscore Heritage Veterinary Hospital as a trusted, full-service "Pet Hospital" that treats every pet and owner with unparalleled professionalism, patience, and genuine care, making them a reliable partner for lifelong pet wellness.

Feb 23, 2025 · Debra FieldHeritage is not our normal vet, we just work very close to it. I went by this morning to talk to them about my dog not feeling well, and we had an appointment within 45 minutes. The front office ladies were so friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Dr. Briar and her tech were just as awesome! They all made us feel very comfortable and welcome! We also got a new client discount. Will definitely be back if we need to.

I heard about them through my neighbor who loves them dearly and has been very helpful with her animals. They are not my normal vet but are extremely helpful and I would go to them again

May 18, 2025 · RUSTY SHACKLEFORDI have been going to Heritage for over 10 years. The care they have not only for my furbabies, but for me, is too good not to stay. I've had to put down a couple of dogs (old age and body shutting down) with them, unfortunately, but they have made each experience special. Aside from that, it's always a wonderful experience when I have to come by, they do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and de-stress your pets. 10/10
