This review comes after many years of care with Dr. Vilchez and countless pets she has taken care of, between myself, friends and family I have referred. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch veterinarian. She has always taken the time to thoroughly treat my fur kiddos with her vast knowledge and compassion. She explains everything so I am comfortable in making the right decisions for my pets. I will forever be grateful for her role in all of my pets lives. From making the hard decisions, to welcoming new ones into the family. An extra bonus is the clinic is always clean and comfortable, and the staff is great at handling my anxious pets. We moved to Citrus County almost 4 years ago. We are so thankful we found Heritage Oaks Veterinary Hospital. Our Farley, Cooper & Penny have received the best treatment and compassionate care from Dr V and team.

Have been going to this vet for about 6 years but no more. Their prices are outrageous. Went for a wellness visit and when they finished my bill was way over $500. One of the items was Nex Gard which was approx $155.00. I learned that this could be bought on line for less than half than they charged. When I tried to return the item was told I could not even when it was unopened. They lost a great customer because their greed is strong. You have been warned!

I worry about her and care for her the way I would a child. I do not trust anyone more than Dr. Vilchez to treat my fur baby as if she were her own each and every visit. We are very disappointed with the care provided in March 2024. Dr. Natasha took our cat into a separate room from us then we started to hear howling and hissing. Our cat has never done that before. He has had shots in the past and there has never been a problem. We took him for a booster in April. We saw two others with dogs who did not want to be left alone there. I trust how animals feel about people. They did not want to be there. We will not be using this Vet again.
