Best veterinary office we’ve ever been to. Sadly had to put our sweet boy down and everyone was extremely kind in a very tough situation and I will never forget it. They were very thoughtful and included a keepsake paw print and little jar with his fur in addition the large urn with his cremains. I am forever grateful to the staff at Heritage North.

Heritage Animal Hospital Inc Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of Heritage Animal Hospital Inc, a pet hospital serving the Terre Haute, Indiana community from its location at 8300 N Clinton St, Terre Haute, IN 47805, USA. Heritage Animal Hospital Inc can be contacted at (812) 466-1155 or +1 812-466-1155 for inquiries about their veterinary services and to schedule appointments. As a local pet hospital, they aim to provide care for the health and well-being of your animal companions.

Customer feedback regarding Heritage Animal Hospital Inc presents a spectrum of experiences. One pet owner shared a profoundly positive account of the compassionate care their family received during the difficult time of their pet's euthanasia. They specifically highlighted the kindness of the staff at "Heritage North" (presumably a reference to this location or a specific team within the hospital) and expressed deep gratitude for the thoughtful gestures, including a keepsake paw print, a jar of fur, and the urn containing their pet's cremains. This review underscores a commitment to empathy and providing support to pet owners during emotionally challenging circumstances, suggesting a caring and considerate environment.

In contrast, another customer reported a significantly negative experience. Their review detailed concerns regarding the handling of their diabetic and blind miniature pinscher during routine annual vaccinations. They alleged that their dog, who occasionally limped, began limping consistently after the appointment, ultimately requiring surgery for a dislocated knee cap. The owner raised concerns about the handling of their dog during an ear cleaning procedure performed out of their sight, suspecting a possible connection to the injury. Furthermore, they described feeling surprised when they requested to accompany their dog for a subsequent glucose check and reported a rude comment from a different assistant regarding this request. This negative experience culminated in the hospital allegedly refusing further services to their dog after a surgery appointment was made elsewhere. The reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction, labeling the business as "money gouging and unethical" and advising other pet owners to avoid the clinic. They also mentioned their inability to speak directly with the veterinarian, "Pat," about these concerns.

Given these divergent accounts, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the environment, services, and features of Heritage Animal Hospital Inc based solely on these reviews. The positive feedback suggests a caring and thoughtful approach, particularly in sensitive situations like end-of-life care. The inclusion of keepsakes indicates an effort to provide comfort and memorialization for grieving pet owners.

However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the clinic's handling procedures, communication practices, and overall professionalism. The allegations of a possible injury occurring during a routine procedure performed out of the owner's sight, coupled with the reported rudeness from a staff member and the subsequent refusal of service, are significant issues that potential clients should be aware of.

Without a comprehensive list of services offered by Heritage Animal Hospital Inc, we can infer that, as a pet hospital, they likely provide a range of veterinary care. These typically include annual wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostic services, treatment for illnesses and injuries, and potentially surgical procedures. The mention of annual shots and a glucose check confirms that they offer at least basic preventative and diagnostic services. However, the extent of their capabilities in specialized areas or the availability of advanced medical equipment cannot be determined from the provided information.

Similarly, details about the clinic's environment, such as the comfort and cleanliness of waiting areas and examination rooms, or the availability of specific facilities for different types of animals, are not described in the reviews. The protocols regarding whether pet owners can accompany their animals during various procedures appear to be a point of contention, as highlighted in the negative feedback.

There is no promotional information available for Heritage Animal Hospital Inc in the provided text. Pet hospitals often offer various promotions to attract new clients or to highlight specific services. These could include discounts on initial exams, vaccination packages, or seasonal offers. To learn about any current promotions at Heritage Animal Hospital Inc, it would be necessary to contact them directly.

In conclusion, Heritage Animal Hospital Inc in Terre Haute has received both highly positive and severely negative feedback from different customers. While one review praises their compassionate care during a difficult time and thoughtful gestures, the other raises significant concerns about patient handling, staff communication, and business ethics. Prospective clients should consider these contrasting experiences when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care. It is recommended to contact Heritage Animal Hospital Inc directly at (812) 466-1155 to inquire about their services, policies, and to address any specific concerns you may have based on the available feedback. Gathering additional information and potentially visiting the clinic may help in making an informed decision about whether their services align with your pet's needs and your expectations.

It is important for Heritage Animal Hospital Inc to address the issues raised in the negative feedback to ensure a consistent standard of care and to maintain the trust of the pet-owning community in Terre Haute. Open communication with clients and a commitment to transparency in their procedures could help to build and maintain a positive reputation.

This should be 0 stars. Our dog is diabetic and blind. We have been going here for a long time. When we took her in for her annual shots they took her in the back out of site as usual and when they brought her back in and I handed her to my wife she yelped loudly! She is a Min Pen and every once in awhile limped. After we got her back into the room after her shots she has limped ever since. Now she is going to have to go through surgery to put her knee cap back in place. What raised my attention was the fact that they said she gave them a real hard time when they cleaned her ears. I didn't think anything about it at the time but now I'm doubting they didn't dislocate her knee cap when they were trying to hold her. We took her back for a glucose check and when I said I was going back with her it surprised the girl but she was very nice about it. The second time is after I had made the surgery appointment (at a different place) and when a different assistant came out to get her for her glucose level she was very rude and made comments like if you're going come back with her you will need to make a different type of appointment. I explained what had happened and I didn't want to leave her out of my site. I told them then that I would call after we had everything taken care of on the surgery to check her glucose level again. After my wife called and made an appointment she was called back and they refused to see my dog because the Dr. refused services to us. This should not be tolerated in a business like this. I never once accused them of dislocating our dog's knee cap but I guess I should have. If you care about your pet "DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS"!!! They are a money gouging and unethical business in my opinion. I never once was able to talk to the Vet "Pat" about any of this. Our pets should not be taken out of site to do procedures unless it's a necessity. Doing a glucose check is not a big deal, it's less than 2 minutes to do. This business is trash! My dog is the world to me, obviously not to this low life business.

I've been taking our pets here all my life, they've always been extremely kind and compassionate to our family. Dr Pat especially did her best to give our cat Tibbers a few more months with us as his health was failing, and she was there at the end providing the best care one could ask for. I really can't say enough good about the Heritage North Team

I am very disappointed in our recent visit. We were quoted a range for the procedure and then were charged more than the original quote. I'm not happy with the diagnosis either. We had to bring our girl back in again when she was not getting better after antibiotics were prescribed. After pushing them to keep looking, she found out she had an infection missed by the first visiting Dr. This place used to be good when they first opened, now we will be looking for a new vet. Will not recommend them to anyone I come in contact with.
