I waited more than 4 hours to see Emergency Doctor who refused to do a blood test on my pet who died yesterday. Obviously my pet was misdiagnosed. I'm absolutely devastated. I would not recommend going here for Emergency care!

While specific features of Henderson R Kane DVM are not detailed in the provided information, it is common for pet hospitals to emphasize their qualified veterinary staff, commitment to animal welfare, and utilization of modern medical practices. The mention of a "competent and compassionate" vet in one of the reviews suggests that the professional care provided by the veterinarians is a notable aspect.

It is important to consider the experiences of other pet owners when choosing a veterinary care provider. The provided reviews offer a glimpse into past customer interactions with Henderson R Kane DVM. One review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the emergency care received, citing a refusal to perform a blood test and a subsequent misdiagnosis that allegedly led to the pet's death. This feedback highlights a significant negative experience and raises concerns about the quality of emergency services provided at least in that particular instance.

Another review details an emergency situation where the customer's cat required euthanasia. While this reviewer found the veterinarian to be "competent and compassionate," they expressed negative feedback regarding the rest of the staff and the overall experience. Issues such as perceived lack of empathy, a focus on payment during a difficult time, and administrative challenges (computer system being down) contributed to a stressful experience. The reviewer also noted a higher cost associated with after-hours emergency care, which is typical, but the lack of follow-up beyond the bill left a negative impression.

These reviews present a mixed picture. While one customer found the veterinarian to be skilled and caring during a critical emergency, another experienced a devastating outcome with the emergency service. The negative feedback regarding the non-veterinary staff's demeanor and the handling of administrative matters, particularly during emotionally challenging times, is also a point to consider. It is crucial for a pet hospital to not only provide competent medical care but also to ensure a supportive and understanding environment for pet owners, especially during emergencies.

As an objective introduction based on the available information, it is evident that Henderson R Kane DVM operates as a pet hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, offering veterinary services that include emergency care. While one customer review praises the competence and compassion of a veterinarian during an emergency, other feedback raises significant concerns about the quality of emergency service in another instance and the overall customer experience, particularly concerning the attitude of non-veterinary staff and administrative processes during stressful situations. Potential local users are advised to consider these varied experiences when making decisions about their pet's care. It may be beneficial to inquire directly with Henderson R Kane DVM about their current services, environment, and protocols to gain a more comprehensive understanding of what they offer.

This review is for an Emergency situation and they are not my regular Vet. In September 2011, my cat had an emergency after 10:30 pm on a Friday night and they were the closest vet open at the time. It turned out that my cat suffered a fatal blood clot and needed to euthanized. To be honest, I found the vet herself to be competent and compassionate at the time and I did not feel pressured at all by her recommendation. If I was just judging the vet herself, I would have given her a very good rating. The reason i'm giving it only a fair is because I found the rest of the experience was stressful and the rest of the staff was unfriendly and it was obvious they cared more about getting paid than giving me a minute to comprehend all that was happening (my cat was in extreme pain and yeowling) and to deal with the limited options we had after discussing w/ the vet. I understand this wasn't my normal vet and they don't know me, but at the time their computer was down and they couldn't accept my credit card payment for the cost of treatment, so they wrote it down on a piece of paper and a few days later mailed me a receipt. It gave them the opportunity to send a simple condolences card since they were sending me mail anyway, but all I received was the credit card slip. Because it was an emergency and after regular vet hours, I paid more than usual - I'm not complaining about that in itself, but the lack of compassion at a difficult time left a negative impression on me and in the future if I need to find an after hours vet I will probably go elsewhere. Maybe they had a bad day, or maybe they were upset working late on a Friday - who knows, all I know is I just had to make a quick decision to euthanize my pet and the attitude of the non vet staff was something that made the night all the more stressful.

My first time here, and it was for an emergency. They took great care of my senior dachshund and also of me, who was very nervous bringing my dog to a new place and handing him over to strangers.
