While specific details about our clinic's environment are not explicitly available online, a typical pet hospital aims to create a comfortable and welcoming space for both pets and their owners. You can generally expect a reception area where you will be greeted upon arrival, examination rooms where veterinarians will assess your pet's health, and potentially separate areas for different types of animals to minimize stress. Depending on the scope of services offered, there might also be surgical suites, imaging facilities (like X-ray or ultrasound), and a laboratory for diagnostic testing. Hello Pet Hospital aims to be a comprehensive pet care provider, offering a variety of services to address your pet's health needs. Based on general veterinary practices, these services typically include:

  • Wellness Exams and Preventative Care: Regular check-ups are crucial for maintaining your pet's health. These exams often include vaccinations, parasite prevention (fleas, ticks, heartworms), nutritional counseling, and discussions about your pet's lifestyle and any concerns you may have.
  • Diagnostic Services: When your pet is unwell, accurate diagnosis is key. This may involve physical examinations, blood work, urine analysis, fecal testing, and potentially imaging techniques like X-rays to identify the underlying issue.
  • Dental Care: Oral health is vital for your pet's overall well-being. Services may include dental cleanings, extractions, and advice on at-home dental care.
  • Surgical Services: Depending on the clinic's capabilities, surgical procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries might be offered.
  • Emergency and Urgent Care: While it's unclear if Hello Pet Hospital offers dedicated emergency services, it's common for pet hospitals to handle urgent cases during their operating hours. It's always best to call ahead in an emergency to understand their procedures.
  • Management of Chronic Conditions: Many pets suffer from long-term health issues like diabetes, arthritis, or allergies. Veterinary care includes managing these conditions through medication, diet, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Senior Pet Care: As pets age, their healthcare needs change. Senior pet care focuses on addressing age-related conditions and ensuring their comfort and quality of life.
  • Nutritional Counseling: Proper nutrition plays a significant role in your pet's health. Veterinarians can provide guidance on selecting the right food and managing weight.
  • Microchipping: This simple procedure can help reunite you with your pet if they ever get lost.

Based on the available customer reviews, it appears that Hello Pet Hospital has elicited a range of experiences. One reviewer praised Dr. Baker and Jonnie for their "amazing" and "compassionate" care throughout the lives of their pets, highlighting the affordability of their services. This positive feedback suggests that some clients have found the care to be excellent and the team to be supportive.

However, another review presents a significantly contrasting experience. This reviewer detailed multiple negative encounters, including a perceived misdiagnosis of asthma in their cat over several years and a critical error involving lost bloodwork for their mother's elderly dog. The update to this review further indicated a discrepancy in the initial diagnosis compared to findings from another veterinary clinic. This feedback raises concerns about diagnostic accuracy and the handling of critical patient information in these specific instances.

It's important to consider that online reviews represent individual experiences and may not be fully representative of the overall quality of care provided by Hello Pet Hospital. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I have never had even a good experience at this vet and recent events solidify in my mind why I will never go back. I have an older (10 at the time) siamese cat that has started getting problems with wheezing and his teeth. When asked about the wheezing he told me he probably "just had a hair in his nose". I went back to him periodically for 3 years and every time got the same expert diagnosis. When I asked about having him sedated to get his teeth cleaned I was told there was no chance of him coming out of anesthesia despite the fact he was in good health and ZERO tests had been run. I went to a separate vet after that to get a consultation about his teeth. During the exam they asked if he always wheezed like that without ever being prompted! He had ASTHMA for all those years, something siamese are predisposed to. His bloodwork came back clean and he had his teeth cleaned with no issue. Now my mother's elderly german shepherd is having severe issues. He's feverish, having trouble standing and unable to control his bladder. She took him to Baker to get some answers and he gave her some antibiotics and took blood. It was supposed to come back 2 days later, all the while this poor boy is suffering waiting for answers. 2 days comes and she calls to get the results and they LOST the bloodwork. They have no idea where it is and he's suffering in the mean time. Taking him in the car is taking so much out of him and so they're just going to "try to find it". I am beyond livid. If whatever he has is treatable, the amount of time he has to wait for answers and deal with his symptoms might be the death of him. UPDATE: They found the bloodwork, said the only thing that was wrong was low blood glucose. We took him to a separate vet a week later. He had a tumor in his stomach that was the size of a grapefruit and a rampant infection. It was cancer. They did bloodwork on site and said it had a clear line that meant it was cancer and his white blood cell count was double what it should be. Baker is a good vet for shots and basic procedures. You can also get that done at tractor supply on the weekends. I would never take my pets here for anything serious. RIP sweetheart
