I’m honestly baffled by all the good reviews on this page. I hate to be the first to leave a negative review, but I had such an awful experience I felt others should be warned. The vet charged $275 to deworm 9 goats, told me to give a second dose in 2 weeks and call back 2 weeks after if I didn’t see any improvement. I didn’t feel that the sub vet who came was thorough and didn’t offer any solutions. I asked that Dr Waters come out next time when there was no improvement in my herd and I didn’t have a good experience with Dr. Whiteside and I was told there would be another $145 herd fee plus the farm fee which I believe was $70 plus any medications! Crazy expensive. I asked that they waive the herd exam fee since I already paid it less than a month ago and they refused saying I would have to pay it again since it’s a different vet coming, even though it’s the same company and the “sub” vet they sent the first time was not even remotely helpful. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Find another vet if you don’t want to be charged an arm and a leg for extremely poor service. They value money over the care of your animals or their clients.

Dr, Waters was just wonderful. We are new goat owners and she helped us with our 2 boys. Compassion for our animals was above and beyond what we expected. She handled our boys with such care. They didn't scream bloody murder while she did their hooves for us. She will be our vet for our goats from now on. Her knowledge of our boys was just wonderful and refreshing. She put us at ease. Our boys are on the right track now, Thank you Dr. Waters. UPDATE; After 4 years we are still clients of Heartland. Dr. Waters and her team are the best around. I wish our vet for our dogs was as good and compassinate as her team. How someone could not give her 5 stars is crazy. She has always been good with our goats, from the time they were babies and even now as adults. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Waters and her team. We Love Dr. Waters UPDATE: She has done it again. One of our boys wasn't feeling well and this was on a saturday. Dr. Waters came out and checked our boy out and gave him shots and gave us some things to do for him. She came out all dressed up and went right in the goat pen no problem. This woman is amazing. We are forever greatful for all she does for us and others. Thank you Dr. Waters, you are the best.

We had 2 sick, 1-month-old calves, and Dr. Waters and Macey came out the day Hurricane Helene blew through, and Dr. Waters offered her professional help. We are very appreciative that she was so dedicated to help save our babies, as if they were her own.

I was incredibly impressed by the compassion, professionalism, and empathy shown by the staff that assisted me in allowing my sweet kitty to go over the rainbow bridge. While I am in a unique location that isn’t serviced by any at home pet euthanasia services, I was referred to Heartland to see if they could assist even though their primary care is of large animals. After my sweet kitty had suffered with a sudden severe and extremely expensive health condition, we had to make the awful and most difficult decision to allow him to pass peacefully as his condition would be incredibly painful with or without treatment. They showed so much compassion and understanding from the first phone call, not an ounce bullying me or making me feel like an awful person for making this tough tough decision as every vet office I called had made me feel. They were human beings and gave my family and my sweet fur baby the BEST of care. They allowed us to be with him the entire time and do it outside (his favorite place to be), they were calm and compassionate and I just cannot say enough good things. This was one of the hardest days but I am 100% at peace with our decision and confident he went over the rainbow bridge with love and support and was pain free.
