Easy to schedule a visit & visits had great availability. Danell was very kind & informative on the phone and all the staff were pleasant & helpful at the in-person visit. Office was clean and pretty; it was a dreary day and the gas fireplace was cozy. Prices seemed usual for the level of care needed, and I felt reassured that they were recommending appropriate tests. Dr. M was compassionate & thorough during visit, and empathetic by phone while delivering bad news. I received follow up emails with test results and explanations and was provided with resources so I could research and decide for my cat's future. I wish I had used their vet clinic sooner, the care here seemed better than where I'd taken my cat a few months prior for a dental exam and surgery, and I can't help but wonder if my cat would've had a better outcome if I had used Hearthwood instead. Hearthwood does dental exams and surgeries too.

Hearthwood Veterinary Hospital has been absolutely amazing! We recently brought our puppy here for a spay surgery and had a great experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. They took the time to explain every step of the process answering all of our questions. The price for the surgery was very reasonable considering the expertise it takes to perform such a procedure. The day of the surgery went smoothly, and it was clear our puppy was in excellent hands when the doctor called us after surgery to let us know everything went well. The doctors and staff showed genuine care and made sure she was comfortable and well looked after. Post-surgery, we got very detailed home care instructions and well-marked medications with instructions . They checked in with us the day after to ensure she was healing properly. It’s rare to find a vet clinic that combines such expertise with exceptional customer service. We are so grateful to have found them and highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, top-notch care for their pets! Thank you Hearthwood team for treating our puppy so well.

My mother has been bringing her pets here for years and with her health declining I’ve been at the last few visits with her pets. Doctor Primly is wonderful and always makes sure we are heard and the other doctors I’ve seen have been good as well. Our most recent visit the assistant (I think her name was Makayla) came in and greeted us by our names, which doesn’t sound like a lot but it meant a lot to us and made us feel like she actually read our file and it just made us feel like she cared. She was thorough and kind but most importantly she seemed to have done her research and asked us about the last visit, already had an idea of what our concerns were and a good understanding of previous visits. I was absolutely blown away. You can tell she is genuinely passionate about her work but also wants to build a connection with not only our pet but also us. Thank you Dr primly and Makayla and the rest of the staff!!!!

We love taking our pets here. Everyone is super friendly and always helpful. I highly recommend them.

We have been clients of Hearthwood dog and cat clinic before they change to their new building for at least 25 years if not longer. My thought now is that they want to pay for their new building and they are now all about the money. Dr Pruitt was our original Vet there before he retired, he would carry treats and the cheese that you can squeeze out of a can to give to our pets so he could examine them and make friends with them as well as build trust.😊 A year ago we took our dog to them to see why she wasn’t feeling good. We found out that after a battery of expensive tests that she most likely had a cancerous tumor on her spleen that was bleeding into her abdomen. We were completely caught off guard. So rather that putting her through a surgery (expensive) with about 3% chance of extending her like for a few more months, we decided to put her down. They expected payment prior to doing anything else. I asked if I could settle up with them the next day. Absolutely not. Tried to reason with them from my past loyalty. No they wouldn’t budge! A year later we took our new rescue dog there. First appointment went well. Made another appointment later for shots, I was running late. I called them twice to let them know of my location. I was told that after 10 minutes late I would be charged for a late appointment change. I arrived 12 minutes late and was charged $84.50 the charge was a missed appointment There was no prior notice given to me about the cost. I offered to stay late for his shots later in the afternoon. There was no way that they could do that. We walked out with no shots and no apology. Called the manager a few days later and tried to reason with her and she wasn’t budging. Two weeks later a get notice sent about their new policy of charging for missed appointments after the fact! Shame on you Hearthwood veterinarian Hospital!!!!! You lost a customer and I am now telling others about how we were treated!
