I’m very sad to say that this place is not what I thought it was going to be. I actually made my husband take our dogs here because I thought that their reviews were good. It has been nothing but a nightmare to try to get our Luna fixed. First, they said she had some kind of blood disorder or something to that nature. Which we spent a lot of money fixing. Which postponed her being able to be fixed until that was taken care of which we understood. Then we were told that She was finally able to get fixed so we made the appointment. They knew exactly how much she weighed and still set the appointment!!!. When my husband called to check on surgery and ask some additional questions,,(this is the day before the surgery) we were informed that they were no longer going to perform the surgery on her because our Luna now weighed more than 60 pounds (which we informed them how much she weighted) and they just canceled the appointment without letting us know!!! She’s actually at 57 pounds but the point is that they have charged us enormous amounts of money to have her “fixed”in order to be able to get her surgery and nothing is going to be done now. We have gone back to our original vet. The only reason we left him is because he’s a little bit further away. What a big mistake. This whole thing has been and I would highly just avoid this establishment. Something shady going on there. Disconnect with Dr and team.

Mar 14, 2025 · Veronica OMy family and I have trusted Dr. Thompson with our dogs from puppyhood to crossing the rainbow bridge. She genuinely cares and takes a proactive approach, especially with my dog’s severe allergies and ear infections, exploring various treatments. Ms. Thea is an amazing groomer who once noticed my dog shaking his ears and arranged a quick vet check during his bath just in case. The team is also incredibly thoughtful, ensuring my reactive dog, is quickly moved to a room to avoid triggers. I’ve never had a bad visit and am grateful to the Healing Hands team!
Mar 27, 2025 · Erin DavilaI love Dr Thompson. I trust my babies with them as Dr Thompson is the biggest animal lover I have met. They only uphold the highest standard of care. A bit cheaper than the other clinics in the area is a plus too. If you are worried that your dog is going to get autism or something from a vaccination, please get off of fox news and start making adult decisions. If you don't believe in medical professionals, this isn't the hospital for you.
Jan 01, 2025 · Andrew “Psi” MalsburyVery professional and informative. I would recommend a consultation to see if this treatment plan could be of help to your pet. I will be making a followup appointment on the treatment plan for Maggie Mae.
Jan 30, 2025 · Stella MartinMeant to leave a review quite a while ago and I forgot until a friend of mine just had a bad experience at helping hands…so here we go. My biggest complaint at this office is that the vet assistant, as well as vet, were VERY VERY vaccine pushy. VERY VERY any type of flea and tick and heart worm medication pushy. Not everyone is on the same page with this topic and I respect that, but we are a family who does not over vaccinate nor over medicate. They would not even see my dogs until they had their vaccine’s. In my opinion, a health issue takes precedence over whether or not your dog is “up to date”. Not only did I like how pushy and rude they were, they are outrageously priced! I found an AMAZING vet closer to me in Boerne who actually cares more about my dogs well-being over their vaccination status and their visits are much less than Helping Hands! Hope this helps someone new who may be looking for a friendlier vet who cares more about the pet over vaccine status!!!
