I brought Henry, my 12 year old lab, to Healing Arts Animal Care when he started to experience mobility issues. At our first visit Dr. Mandi and her team conducted a very thorough examination and created a care plan tailored to his needs. We have been maintaining care here for several months and have seen such a huge improvement! He is able to navigate our stairs with relative ease, he is able to lay down and get up without trouble, and he is back to enjoying his longer walks in the neighborhood! Henry lights up when we pull into the parking lot at Healing Arts. It’s his favorite place to visit these days! Everyone is so kind and considerate of his needs, and there are always many treats to be had. We feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Mandi and the whole team at Healing Arts.

May 24, 2024 · Julianna BurlingameDr. Mandi & her crew are so amazing! I'm not sure our pup would even be walking right now if it wasn't for the passion she (and her team) brought to the table. They may be one of the top choices for animal rehabilitation in not just Portland but the whole US. They are so understanding and care as much for your pet as you do. I can't say enough good things.
Mar 07, 2025 · dr1ceWe had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with Dr. Mandi. Our dog was already six weeks into recovery from an ACL injury, diagnosed by a different vet, and was making great progress with another rehab specialist. We visited Dr. Mandi based on a recommendation, but it was a huge mistake. Without our consent, she performed the drawer maneuver—completely unnecessary at this stage of healing—which reinjured our dog and set his progress back to zero. He went from walking well to limping as a tripod again, undoing weeks of careful rehabilitation. Beyond the physical setback, her bedside manner was terrible. She had a frantic, chaotic energy, spoke down to us as if we knew nothing, and came across as if she believed she was the only one who knew best. Her ego overshadowed everything, making it impossible to feel heard or respected as a pet parent. I genuinely don’t understand how she has all these good reviews. Did she have a bipolar day when we came in? Either way, I deeply regret visiting her. She traumatized our dog and set us back thousands of dollars in care. Thankfully, we ultimately healed him with a different practice that actually cared.
Mar 07, 2025 · J and V DragonfliesMy crazy young cattle dog managed to give himself a nice shoulder injury, ultimately leading to about a 6 month training break from dog sports. He’s back to his crazy self, training, hiking and playing with his buddies. We’d never had made it without the help of the amazing Healing Arts team and Dr. Mandi. They provided support and guidance through the entire ordeal for both myself and my pup. Perrin (the pup) misses giving everyone very exuberant kisses.
Jul 31, 2024 · Elizabeth COur wonderful dog Rose was diagnosed with IVDD, a bulging disc in her neck. She began collapsing in her front legs while walking and was struggling with her mobility. Rose is only six years old. We were pretty devastated and decided we would, of course do whatever we needed to do to help her heal, or at least regain good mobility. We had an MRI done so they could find the exact spot and then we were recommended to Healing Arts Animal Care for some services in rehab. We were immediately impressed with everyone we dealt with. Rose did a six week program where she received laser therapy, walking on the water treadmill and lots of PT exercises each week to do at home. Each week Rose’s mobility improved, and by the end of the program she had made a huge turn around. We are so incredibly thankful for Dr. Mandi and the entire team at Healing Arts Animal Care. Every appointment we felt supported and Rose became comfortable with going and she really liked the water treadmill! I truly cannot recommend Healing Arts Animal Care enough. They were wonderful and an absolute game changer for the furry love of our lives!
