Welcome to Hamburg Animal Hospital
For pet owners in Hamburg, Pennsylvania, seeking a local "Pet Hospital," Hamburg Animal Hospital, situated at 737 Franklin St, Hamburg, PA 19526, offers veterinary care services for your beloved animals. They can be contacted at (610) 562-5000 or +1 610-562-5000. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at this clinic appear to be varied, with high praise for at least one of the veterinarians, Dr. Bonnie, alongside some significant concerns regarding the internal management and its potential impact on staff.
The environment of Hamburg Animal Hospital, as perceived by clients, seems positive, particularly in interactions with the veterinary staff. One reviewer expressed love for the clinic, specifically highlighting Dr. Bonnie's kindness and knowledge when caring for both their cat and dog. This suggests a caring and professional atmosphere during consultations and treatments. The fact that the pets "absolutely love her too" implies a gentle and comfortable environment for the animals. However, another review paints a less positive picture of the behind-the-scenes environment, alleging that some employees are not genuinely nice and that other staff members may feel intimidated by an office manager. This review suggests potential internal issues that clients might not directly observe but could indirectly affect the overall functioning and atmosphere of the hospital.
The services offered at Hamburg Animal Hospital, based on the reviews, include general veterinary care for common pets like cats and dogs. Dr. Bonnie is mentioned for successfully addressing "mild health issues" in both a cat and a dog through her knowledgeable suggestions. This indicates that the clinic provides diagnostic and treatment services for various pet health concerns. The reference to pets "loving" Dr. Bonnie also suggests that she handles the animals with care during examinations and procedures. While the reviews do not provide an exhaustive list of services, it is reasonable to assume that a "Pet Hospital" like Hamburg Animal Hospital would offer routine check-ups, vaccinations, treatment for illnesses and injuries, and potentially surgical procedures and dental care. However, the second review's focus on internal management issues does not provide further details about the scope of medical services offered.
A notable feature of Hamburg Animal Hospital, according to one enthusiastic reviewer, is Dr. Bonnie, who is described as an "excellent vet," kind, and knowledgeable. The immediate resolution of their pets' mild health issues through her advice underscores her competence. This positive feedback suggests that the veterinary expertise available at the clinic, at least in the case of Dr. Bonnie, is a significant strength and a reason why clients would choose to return for long-term care. Conversely, a concerning feature highlighted by another reviewer is the alleged negative impact of the office manager on the staff, with claims of inadequate training, a difficult work environment, and high employee turnover. This raises questions about the overall stability and internal dynamics of the hospital, which could indirectly affect the quality of care provided.
No specific promotional information for Hamburg Animal Hospital is included in the provided text. Veterinary clinics sometimes offer special deals for new clients, wellness plans, or seasonal discounts. To learn about any current promotions or special offers at Hamburg Animal Hospital, local users would need to contact the clinic directly or check their website or local advertising, if available.
In conclusion, Hamburg Animal Hospital in Hamburg, PA, is a "Pet Hospital" that has received positive feedback regarding the veterinary skills and compassionate care of Dr. Bonnie. Clients who have interacted with her specifically report positive experiences and a high level of satisfaction. However, another review raises serious concerns about the internal management of the hospital, alleging a negative work environment and potential issues with staff training and retention. While the animals are reportedly treated well, these internal issues could be a point of consideration for potential clients. For local users seeking a pet hospital, Hamburg Animal Hospital, reachable at (610) 562-5000, offers the expertise of Dr. Bonnie, but it may be wise to weigh this against the concerns raised about the clinic's management. To inquire about their services, hours, and any current promotions, contacting the hospital directly is recommended.

Apr 08, 2025 · Joe ShopeFake employees not really that nice behind scene! Other employees are afraid and almost feel silenced by the appears so kind to clients but is an absolute horrible office manager who doesn’t train more than 2 days setting you up for failure and even the doctor just goes along with anything she says. No employee stays for very long and I can see why after being thrown to the wolves after two days of half day training because she was so busy. she wants to run the show solo and will be with only young part time girls who she feels won’t threaten her animal throne she got going on. Hey whatever floats your boat in this not so nice behind the scenes animal ark. I truly feel the doctor and her have a relationship, which is wonderful, but clearly the office mgr makes rules doctor just owns and treats! thank goodness animals are pretty much treated well and can’t talk!

Dec 29, 2024 · Tracie DietrickI don't have enough nice things to say about Dr. Davis and the rest of the staff members at Hamburg Animal Hospital. My experience comes from the care given to my 18 year old cat, Dante, for the last 7-8 years. My cat was very scared of people and would hiss when at the vet, but was not typically aggressive with her claws/biting. Dr. Davis was always gentle and calm in her approach with my cat, and while cautious, never seemed apprehensive to touch or provide care to her. Dante had a few chronic conditions for which she took medication, and Dr. Davis was always thorough in explaining the disease process and treatment options. I felt that her recommendations were always in the best interest of Dante, even when it meant a less aggressive approach to treatment. Dr. Davis always gave me great advice, was patient with answering my questions, and gave me many recommendations for how to more easily give pills and assist with treating Dante's conditions. All of the staff members here are polite and courteous, and also eager to help and flexible with scheduling both for appointments and with picking up medication/food. I always felt welcome, even when I could tell they were very busy. Dante was with me her whole life, and my whole life as well--I was her primary caretaker from the time I was 17 years old, and throughout Dante's entire 18 years. She was very important to me and I was heartbroken by her passing. In the end, it was Dr. Davis's compassion after hours which pointed me in the right direction for how to best care for Dante in her final hours. As a result, Dante was able to pass peacefully in my arms. A few days later, I received a card in the mail expressing their condolences at her passing. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Davis and her staff for how they treated Dante over the years, and up until the end of her life. I could not recommend this practice more.
