Grove Center Veterinary Hospital

Thank you to the Grove Center staff for being so loving, kind, and patient to Shady towards the end of his long life. My husband and I came here as Dr. Bender was transitioning into retirement and Dr. Malik took over. Shady was very old, we think he was 16 or 17 years old when he passed away in October. He had age-related complications and we felt his time was coming real soon. I always asked Angelina, Cristal, and Margaret questions relating to end of life expectations and they were so patient and honest with me. They have very big hearts. They were very gentle with Shady, showed interest in him as a patient, and were always quick to refill his medications. Same with Dr. Malik. Months before his death, Shady had a huge lump growing on his side and we took the risk, at his age, to send him into surgery. We figured, if he doesn't make it out of surgery, it's okay, that was his time. But Dr. Malik and his team did an amazing job of carefully removing it and his recovery was incredible. The several extra months we had with Shady was priceless before he finally reached the end of his life. I had even called them the morning we felt like Shady was ready to be put to sleep and was reassured that this was a reasonable decision. Of course, we will miss him terribly forever, but our next furry family member will be a patient of Dr. Malik's!

We become new patient as Dr. Bender was in process of retiring. We love Dr. Malik. He took excellent care of my pup and honestly the first vet we've been to where i don't feel like I'm getting rushed out the door. Dr Malik listens to all my questions and concerns and is very attenuative. You can tell he truly cares about the animals. He even came in when we had last minute emergency. In addition the rest of the office staff are tremendous. Highly recommend if you're in need of vet care.

My fluffy baby, Luca, was in extreme discomfort last night. I called the office today and was given an immediate appointment with Dr Malik. He has such a lovely, calm and warm demeanor that put Luca and I at ease. Luca is now home happy and pain free. Thank you to the amazing office and nursing staff for such a wonderful practice and best care ever. Huge slobberly kiss from Luca to all of you at Grove Center Vet!!!

This is an excellent vet clinic! I can’t recommend them enough. They have taken good care of our puppy and the staff is all excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they always remember our pup and her quirks. They got her in same day when she had an ear infection. They were also super helpful when she was having some pain/discomfort after her spay and gave her a different medication which is working well for her. Overall, very responsive and helpful clinic. We look forward to continuing to take our pup here.

I am absolutely floored by Dr. Bender’s compassion and empathy and dedication as well the professionalism of his team and the entire set up of the practice. I called the after hours line because of an emergency on thanksgiving day when my pet was throwing up and had rectal bleeding with diarrhea . The answering service listened to me patiently and asked if my pet was an existing patient. Despite the fact that we said that she wasn’t he was compassionate and said that he would relay our message . I was not expecting a call back thinking that it was a holiday and that since we weren’t an existing patient. To my surprise Dr. Bender called me back within 5 minutes and patiently heard me out patiently and assessed the situation and provided his expert advice and directed us to the Vet ER. The next morning I got a call from his office at 8.30 AM to follow up on Zambi and I was speechless. Never have I ever experienced so much compassion and empathy from a vet office and that too we aren’t an existing patient. Needless to say I am transferring my pets care to Dr. Bender . My deepest gratitude to him and his staff. I cannot thank you enough.
