Contacted them when I found three kittens abandoned in a park and they would not help with testing or vaccinations. I took two of the kittens to my current (overpriced) vet to take care of everything -- the third kitten found a forever home. Now I am trying to get the remaining two spayed because they have started going into heat and peeing on things. My vet wanted over $500 per cat to get them spayed, and three rescue groups told me to contact Greys and Strays. Nope, they won't spay them because they didn't give them their vaccines. Okay...I couldn't get in when I found the kittens, so I did what was best for them (and my current cats) and paid my vet's price. Now, because I did it that way, they will not help with low cost spaying, even though apparently they are the only one in the area who actually offers low-cost spay/neutering. They should probably tell the rescue groups (mainly Friends of All Animals) to stop sending people there for low-cost spay/neuter. I'm understanding now why there are so many homeless kittens in Lebanon: it costs $400+ at each of the vets in the area, and the ones that are cheaper are booked or require you to start with them from the moment the kitten is born. Kind of hard to schedule it months in advance when you don't know you are going to find kittens randomly dumped in a park. Next time I'll just harden my heart and keep walking.

Greys and Strays LLC Introduce

Welcome to Greys and Strays LLC, your local Pet Hospital located at 2686 S Pine Grove St, Jonestown, PA 17038, USA. At Greys and Strays LLC, we aim to provide essential veterinary care to the community, with a particular focus on addressing the challenges of stray and abandoned animals through services like low-cost spay/neuter and vaccinations. You can reach us at (717) 304-9987 or +1 717-304-9987 for inquiries and to learn more about our services and how we can assist with your pet care needs and community animal welfare efforts.

While specific details about the environment of Greys and Strays LLC are not extensively described, the reviews offer some insights into its operational focus and the experiences of individuals seeking care, particularly for stray animals. The mention of low-cost spay/neuter services suggests that the clinic may operate with a focus on affordability and accessibility, potentially serving a diverse range of clients, including those involved in rescue efforts. The positive review highlighting Alyssa's caring and thorough approach indicates a compassionate and dedicated professional working within the clinic. The clinic appears to be a point of contact for individuals finding stray animals and seeking solutions for their care, though the experiences shared also suggest specific protocols and limitations regarding the provision of immediate care for found animals.

Based on the customer reviews, the services offered by Greys and Strays LLC appear to include:

  • Low-Cost Spay/Neuter: This is a prominently mentioned service, with multiple reviewers referencing it as a key offering of the clinic, particularly for addressing the issue of pet overpopulation and assisting rescue groups and individuals with more affordable options. However, the reviews also indicate potential restrictions or requirements associated with accessing these low-cost services, such as prior vaccination history at the clinic.
  • Vaccinations: Vaccinations are another service mentioned, both in the context of the clinic potentially providing them and as a prerequisite for other services like low-cost spay/neuter. The initial negative review mentions the clinic's unwillingness to provide vaccinations for found kittens.
  • General Veterinary Care: The positive review praising Alyssa for her caring and thorough approach to her own pets (dogs and cats) suggests that the clinic also provides general veterinary services beyond spay/neuter and vaccinations, including check-ups and treatment for illnesses.
  • Care for Stray Animals: The clinic seems to be a resource for individuals who find stray animals, with Alyssa noted for making time to assist with strays and fosters. However, the initial negative reviews highlight potential limitations in the immediate assistance provided for found animals, particularly regarding testing and initial vaccinations.
  • Referrals for Specialty Care: Alyssa is also mentioned for recommending "great specialty care" when a condition is beyond her ability to treat, indicating a network and willingness to ensure pets receive appropriate care even if it's outside the scope of Greys and Strays LLC.

Features of Greys and Strays LLC, as gleaned from the reviews, include Alyssa's caring and thorough veterinary approach, her willingness to assist with stray animals and fosters, and the clinic's stated provision of low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines aimed at community support. However, a notable feature also appears to be specific protocols or requirements that may limit immediate assistance for found animals without prior vaccination history at the clinic. This policy has led to frustration for individuals attempting to help abandoned animals and access the advertised low-cost spay/neuter services.

The reviews also highlight a potential gap in accessible and affordable veterinary care in the wider Lebanon area, with standard veterinary costs being cited as a barrier to responsible pet care, particularly for unexpected situations like finding abandoned animals. Greys and Strays LLC seems to be positioned to address this gap with its low-cost services, but the reported restrictions may limit its effectiveness in certain scenarios.

Regarding promotional information, the reviews do not explicitly mention any ongoing promotions or discounts beyond the general availability of low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines. It is possible that these low-cost services themselves function as a form of community-focused promotion. To obtain specific information about any current promotions or eligibility requirements for low-cost services, it is recommended to contact Greys and Strays LLC directly at (717) 304-9987 or +1 717-304-9987.

The customer reviews present a somewhat complex picture of Greys and Strays LLC. On one hand, Alyssa is highly praised for her compassionate and thorough care for established patients and her efforts to help stray animals. The clinic is also recognized for offering low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines, which are valuable resources for the community. However, the negative reviews highlight potential limitations in the immediate assistance provided for found animals and specific requirements for accessing the low-cost services, which have led to negative experiences for individuals trying to act responsibly in animal welfare situations. These contrasting experiences underscore the importance of understanding the clinic's specific policies and procedures when seeking care, particularly for stray or newly found animals.

In conclusion, Greys and Strays LLC in Jonestown, PA, operates as a Pet Hospital with a focus on providing low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines, alongside general veterinary care. Alyssa, a veterinarian at the clinic, is praised for her caring and thorough approach and her dedication to helping stray animals. However, potential limitations in immediate assistance for found animals and specific requirements for accessing low-cost services have been noted by some individuals. Local users interested in Greys and Strays LLC should contact the clinic directly to understand their service offerings, eligibility criteria for low-cost options, and how they can best assist with their pet care needs and any involvement with stray animals in the community.

Alyssa is terrific,I've been bringing our 4 dogs and 2 cats here for years and she is caring and thorough. She always makes time in a pinch whether it be a matter with my crew or strays that I stumble upon and foster. She's wonderful about recommending great specialty care when it's something out of her ability to treat. She extends herself to the fullest by helping the community with low-cost spay/ neuter and vaccines . She loves animals and it shows.
