Welcome to Greenwood Veterinary Care

Welcome to the introduction of Greenwood Veterinary Care, a pet hospital located at 708 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, USA. Operating within the category of Pet Hospitals, Greenwood Veterinary Care aims to provide veterinary services for the local pet community. The available information includes the clinic's address, phone number, and contrasting customer reviews that offer different perspectives on the care and service provided.

One customer review describes a positive experience, highlighting the professionalism and efficiency of the front desk staff, veterinary technicians, and the doctor. This reviewer was impressed with the entire team and found the prices to be reasonable, expressing satisfaction in finding a local independent vet to support. This positive feedback suggests that some pet owners have experienced a well-functioning clinic with a friendly and competent staff. The mention of check-ups and vaccinations indicates that Greenwood Veterinary Care offers routine preventative care services.

However, another, significantly more detailed and concerning review presents a starkly different experience. This customer recounts the tragic loss of their cat, Pasha, and attributes it to the mistakes and incompetence of a male doctor at Greenwood Veterinary Care. According to the review, Pasha was taken in for annual vaccinations and a check-up, during which a slightly high heart rate was noted. Despite this finding, the reviewer states that no medication, prescription or non-prescription, was prescribed, no treatment was provided, and no referral to a specialist or animal hospital was made. Subsequently, Pasha developed symptoms including vomiting and loss of appetite. The reviewer claims that despite multiple calls to the clinic, the doctor did not personally address their concerns, and the staff offered no helpful assistance. An appointment was scheduled several days later, but unfortunately, Pasha passed away before this appointment. The reviewer expresses deep grief and firmly believes that the lack of proper diagnosis and timely intervention by the veterinary clinic led to their cat's death. This review urges other animal lovers to exercise caution, particularly when their pets have serious illnesses, suggesting that the male doctor at the clinic is primarily focused on financial gain rather than the well-being of the animals.

Based on the available information, Greenwood Veterinary Care offers at least routine check-ups and vaccinations, as mentioned by the satisfied customer. The negative review also indicates that they perform annual vaccinations and general check-ups. The reference to a heart rate assessment suggests that the clinic is equipped to perform basic physical examinations and potentially some diagnostic procedures. However, the conflicting accounts raise questions about the scope and quality of their diagnostic and treatment capabilities, particularly for more complex or urgent medical issues. The lack of follow-up or referral in the case described in the negative review is a significant concern. To understand the full range of services offered, including emergency care protocols, diagnostic equipment available, and specialization areas, prospective clients are strongly advised to contact Greenwood Veterinary Care directly at (347) 269-1967 or +1 347-269-1967.

The features of Greenwood Veterinary Care are difficult to objectively assess due to the highly contrasting customer experiences. A potential positive feature, based on one review, is a friendly and efficient team consisting of front desk staff, vet techs, and a doctor, with reasonable prices. Supporting a local independent vet can also be seen as a positive by some pet owners. However, the serious allegations in the negative review raise significant concerns about the competence and care provided by at least one of the doctors at the clinic, specifically the male doctor mentioned. The alleged failure to properly diagnose and treat a potentially serious condition, coupled with a lack of communication and assistance when the pet's condition worsened, are critical issues. The stark difference between a seemingly well-functioning team and a doctor accused of negligence creates a complex and potentially risky picture for prospective clients. It is essential for pet owners to weigh these contrasting accounts carefully.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special programs at Greenwood Veterinary Care. It is common for veterinary clinics to offer introductory discounts for new clients, vaccination packages, or seasonal promotions related to pet health. To inquire about any current promotions or wellness plans, interested pet owners should contact Greenwood Veterinary Care directly via phone or inquire during a visit. Given the serious nature of one of the reviews, it would be prudent to also ask detailed questions about the clinic's protocols for handling potentially serious conditions, their emergency care procedures, and the qualifications and specializations of all the veterinarians on staff.

In conclusion, Greenwood Veterinary Care in Brooklyn, NY, is a pet hospital that has received both positive feedback regarding its team and pricing, and a very serious negative review alleging negligence and inadequate care leading to the death of a pet. Prospective clients are strongly urged to consider both of these perspectives carefully. While one reviewer found the staff professional and the prices reasonable, another detailed a deeply concerning experience involving a lack of proper diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Given these conflicting accounts, it is crucial for local pet owners to conduct thorough due diligence, ask detailed questions about the clinic's practices and the qualifications of their veterinarians, and consider seeking additional opinions before entrusting the health of their beloved pets to Greenwood Veterinary Care. Contacting the clinic directly at (347) 269-1967 may provide further information, but the serious allegations warrant careful consideration and potentially seeking alternative veterinary care options.

MY CAT PASSED AWAY BY VET MISTAKE..! I took my cats to this clinic regularly. I had all their vaccinations and neutering operations done. Lastly, 3 months ago, I took my cat Pasha here to get his annual vaccinations. My cat was also at the doctor's check-up. During the examination, the vet found my cat's heart rate a little high. And my cat too. He said pasha might have a disease. But he did not prescribe any prescription or non-prescription medication to us. He did not provide any treatment. He did not send us to any hospital. And unfortunately, my cat vomited several times as of September 17th and did not eat for 2 days. and although I called them many times, neither the doctor came to the phone and listened to my complaints, nor did the staff there help me. Since I could not observe any additional emergency in my cat. I could not take my cat to the emergency doctor or the animal hospital. Because Greenwood Veterinary Clinic gave me an appointment for September 20th at 3:30pm. And unfortunately, my cat passed away on the morning of the date they gave me the appointment due to the mistakes of this clinic and the incompetence of the doctor. I want to call out to all animal lovers and animal owners from here. If you raise and care for your animals like your children at home and love them, definitely do not take them to this clinic except for normal vaccinations. Because the male doctor working here definitely sees animals as money and is not interested. If he had started and applied the right tests and the right treatment to my cat, my cat would be in my arms right now. There is a huge veterinarian mistake here. And stop seeing animals as objects. You are already getting more than your fair share of the money for the services you provide. Be sensitive. No matter what I write here, the result will not change. Because my dear son. Pasha closed his eyes to life. and this doctor is still working in this clinic. And as if nothing happened. He looks after cats and dogs. He treats them so-called. I used to care about this clinic a lot. and I valued it. But since they see animals as money. When I took my cat to the animal hospital the day he died, the doctor said that even if he had surgery, his chance of survival would only be 5% and that the best option was to relieve his pain and put my cat to sleep. and we followed the doctor's advice to end his suffering. and my dear son. He went to heaven. I have been in great depression for about 20 days. I have great anxiety. I have panic attacks. I have major depression. and the male doctor working at the Greenwood Veterinary Clinic is the one who made us experience these. Please, I am saying it again. If your animals have a serious illness, do not take them to this clinic. If you do, you may encounter the same end as I did.my lovely son Pasha rest of the peace…!

Wonderful experience here. My pup’s nail had split and started bleeding significantly - some of it needed to be removed in order to heal properly. They made easy work of this and charged a very affordable rate. The staff/doctor were very welcoming & considerate to us. Thanks!

I love everyone who works at Greenwood Veterinary Care. The entire staff is wonderful! I have an elderly dog, so we spend quite a bit of time at the vet. I have never had a bad experience.

The atmosphere and and workers are very nice. Unfortunately this is a corporate type of vet care. 850-1000$ for a male dog to be neutered is crazy Plus 500 for blood work for 2 dogs and wanted another 250 per dog to reserve a spot for surgery..1000$ before surgery costs Once the vet started to talk about corporate and guys in suits I already knew I made a big mistake. Find yourself a family practice not a monetary practice. Never again
