My kitty was sick with a cold and wasn't getting better so I called around and was very disappointed that none of the other vets mentioned this place. They all wanted to send me to Concord or Manchester an hour away! When I called the receptionist was just lovely and sweet and when I arrived all the technicians were kind and caring as well. We were taken back right away to see the veterinarian and he was just wonderful also. He gave my kitty fluids and antibiotics and said to bring him back if he doesn't get better in a day or two. Turns out he had a UTI in addition to the cold. I was easily able to afford the cost, very reasonable, don't hesitate. I will bring all my animals here from now on. They deserve to be supported in their mission to help our pets.

Great Brook Veterinary Clinic offers an all-encompassing suite of veterinary services for dogs, cats, and other domestic animals. A standout feature is their convenient walk-in hours, making it easier for pet owners to bring in their animals without a prior appointment, particularly beneficial for urgent needs. These walk-in hours are generally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM, and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM. While Saturdays can be busy and may involve a wait, the convenience of this model is a significant draw.
Key services provided by Great Brook Veterinary Clinic include:
- Wellness Checks & Preventive Care: Routine wellness exams are crucial for improving the life and longevity of pets. The clinic emphasizes proactive care, recommending annual exams and appropriate vaccinations to ensure pets remain healthy.
- Vaccinations: Essential vaccinations are offered, including the legally required Rabies vaccine (good for 1 year initially, then 3 years for subsequent doses). For dogs, core vaccinations include DHLPP (protecting against Distemper, Hepatitis, Lepto, Parvo, and Parainfluenza) and the Lyme vaccine, which is particularly important in Hillsborough County, an area with a high rate of Lyme disease. - Urgent Care: The clinic is equipped to handle urgent situations, such as possible poisoning, pets hit by cars, porcupine quills, immobilization, and lacerations. While they accept walk-ins for such cases, calling ahead (603-588-3460) during inclement weather is advisable to confirm their operational status.
- General Surgery: Great Brook Veterinary Clinic performs general surgery for both cats and dogs. Elective surgeries and procedures typically require appointments.

Oct 28, 2024 · Barbra WoodinWalk-in hours are convenient. Saturdays are busy, and you can wait a long time. Dr. Dowling is caring and straightforward. I like that he will make a referral to a specialist quickly before charging for a bunch of extra treatments or tests. Country vet with your pets best interest at heart.

Dec 06, 2024 · rick fulwiderOur pup is family. For a second time in 6 months we brought her to see Dr. Tom. He is very good with her and she is very distrustful of men in general. She was in good health, he allayed our fears with a careful reassuring dissertation of what he found, he was patient with his explanations. 5 stars all day long
