Welcome to GrandView Animal Care Center
Introducing GrandView Animal Care Center, a pet hospital located at 2409 Union Rd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227, USA. You can contact them at (716) 608-6383 or their mobile number +1 716-608-6383. Operating under the platform category of Pet Hospitals, GrandView Animal Care Center aims to provide veterinary services and potentially offer related goods to support the health and well-being of pets in the Cheektowaga area.
Based on the customer reviews, the environment of GrandView Animal Care Center appears to have aspects that are both positive and areas that have caused significant concern for some pet owners. One reviewer describes the staff, particularly Dr. Lisa, as "always so friendly," suggesting a welcoming and personable atmosphere. The fact that their dog, who is usually nervous at the vet, "loves coming to the vets office" and feels "comfortable and calm" indicates that the staff may excel at creating a gentle and reassuring environment for animals during examinations and procedures. This suggests that the clinic strives to minimize pet anxiety, which is a crucial aspect of quality veterinary care. The cleanliness and organization of the facility, while not explicitly mentioned, would be expected in a professional pet hospital setting.
Information regarding the comprehensive range of services offered by GrandView Animal Care Center can be inferred from the nature of a pet hospital and the experiences described in the reviews. Typical services would include routine wellness examinations and preventative care, such as vaccinations and parasite control. Diagnostic services, including blood work and urine analysis (as mentioned in a review), are likely available to aid in the diagnosis of illnesses. Medical treatment for various conditions and injuries would also be a primary service. Depending on the clinic's facilities and the expertise of the veterinary team, surgical procedures, dental care, and consultations on nutrition and behavior may also be offered. The mention of "stat blood and urine results" implies that the clinic can perform these diagnostic tests, though the timeframe for receiving these results became a point of contention in one review.
The features of GrandView Animal Care Center, as perceived by customers, present a mixed picture. A significant positive feature appears to be the friendly and gentle demeanor of Dr. Lisa and the staff, which can create a comfortable experience for pets, especially those prone to anxiety. This compassionate approach is a valuable asset for any veterinary practice. However, a critical negative feature highlighted in another review is the alleged misdiagnosis of a pet's illness, which tragically resulted in the pet's death. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of diagnoses and the thoroughness of medical assessments at the clinic, at least in this particular instance.
Another significant concern raised in the negative review is poor communication. The reviewer reported a lack of response to calls and emails requesting the transfer of medical records to an emergency veterinary hospital, even after paying extra for expedited test results that were significantly delayed. This breakdown in communication during a critical situation is a serious issue, as timely sharing of medical information is crucial for continuity of care, especially in emergencies. The reviewer also expressed a perceived lack of compassion and unsupportive staff, leading to the decision to transfer their pet's care elsewhere and recommend other local animal hospitals. The delay in receiving urgent diagnostic results (five days for "stat" tests) also points to potential inefficiencies in their laboratory processes or communication of results.
Promotional information for GrandView Animal Care Center is not provided in the given text. Pet hospitals often have introductory offers for new clients, wellness plans that bundle preventative care services at a discounted rate, or seasonal promotions on specific treatments or products. To obtain information about any current promotions or wellness plans offered by GrandView Animal Care Center, it would be recommended to contact them directly via phone or visit their location. Their website or social media presence, if available, might also provide details on any ongoing offers or services.
In conclusion, GrandView Animal Care Center in Cheektowaga, NY, operates as a pet hospital with customer reviews presenting contrasting experiences. While one reviewer praises the friendly and gentle staff, particularly Dr. Lisa, and the comfortable environment for their pet, another recounts a devastating experience involving alleged misdiagnosis, poor communication, and a lack of support during a critical illness. These conflicting accounts highlight the importance of considering all available feedback when evaluating a veterinary care provider. As a pet hospital, they likely offer a range of standard veterinary services, including diagnostics. Local users considering GrandView Animal Care Center should weigh these differing experiences and may want to inquire specifically about their diagnostic protocols, communication practices, and emergency care procedures to make an informed decision about their pet's healthcare.

Sep 09, 2024 · Darlene BuchnowskiIf you’re looking for a veterinarian to help with a sick pet, this is not the place to go. I lost my pet due to misdiagnosis. I even paid extra for stat blood and urine results that still took 5 days. When at the ER (Green Acres who were absolutely amazing) I called and emailed to have records transferred to the ER and no response until days later saying their system was down. If system was down and due to the urgency of my pets condition, a phone call should have been made ASAP to the ER. The end result, this vet does not have compassion, has poor communication, unsupportive staff and no regard for your feelings. My family and friends have already transferred out. My recommendation is Thorn Avenue Animal Hospital and Green Acres the best staff and doctors you will ever come in contact with.
Mar 31, 2025 · Mari Jo DomzalskiI'm glad to have found Dr. Lisa and her amazing team. From the moment I first walked in, I felt welcomed and reassured by their professionalism and warmth. Dr. Lisa’s expertise and genuine care for my dog’s well-being are evident in every visit. The staff is equally fantastic, always friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond to fit us in for appointments, even on short notice for urgent issues. I’ve never been disappointed with the level of service and attention we receive. Dr. Lisa and her staff truly stand out in their commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care.
Jun 17, 2024 · RozïeThis is a great office to go to if you have a young, healthy pet. However, if you have an older animal, or one with health issues, I do not recommend. Having brought 3 of my cats here, each visit was different with the level of attention and attitudes we received.
Oct 28, 2024 · Hayley HoernerDr Lisa and her team are fantastic. They care so much about our furry family members. They go beyond just regular veterinary services offering a wide range of holistic services as well. If you are looking for comprehensive services at fair prices in a beautiful setting Grandview is the way to go. Just ask Max and Bella.
