My husband had an extremely disappointing and frankly unsettling encounter at this veterinary office—where we have been clients in the past. He went to inquire about teeth cleaning options for our dog (who has previously been seen here), and what should have been a simple visit turned into an unnecessarily aggressive situation over a parking spot. He parked in a space clearly marked for the Vet Office. Before he could even get out of the car, a man approached him and asked if he was a client. At the same time, the woman who is typically at the front desk (and who we've interacted with before) shouted from the other side of the car, “I didn’t see him, this is FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY BTW AND WE ARE CLOSING.” (mind you it says it’s closing at 5:30pm per yelp and this happened at 4:45pm) The tone and delivery were uncalled for. My husband, caught off guard and beginning to feel threatened, said he would move. Despite that, the man stood closely to the car, preventing him from backing out, and muttered under his breath, “It’s common sense.” At that point, my husband asked him not to be condescending or tell him what common sense is, which is entirely reasonable. Instead of deescalating, the woman began getting aggressive as well—all over a parking spot that is labeled for the vet office, being used by someone who had legitimate business with the vet office. If this facility is so quick to judge and berate someone WHO IS A RETURNING CLIENT, then it’s clear the respect and professionalism we expect as clients simply isn’t there. No one deserves to be treated this way—especially not by people responsible for the care of our pets. My husband left without entering the building, and we will not be returning. Shameful conduct.

I was so scared and anxious when I brought my baby in. She had a serious illness that we thankfully caught in time but Dr. Chopval and her team made me feel like everything was OK again. She does for you what she would do for her animals. The receptionist is extremely well informed and gave me great advice and went over each medicine with me thoroughly. I will definitely be coming back and could not recommend them enough. Also … if this is a sign you needed, please get pet insurance.

I just got berated by the owner and another employee while sitting in my car in the emergency parking (by the way, the facility just closed). My dog is a client here - not anymore. Im first approached by the owner (I just parked) who asks me if I’m a client. I open the window slightly because at first I didn’t know who this guy was. Then his employee comes to the passenger side (I’m still in the drivers seat and I lower the right window). The employee then looks at owner to shake her head and say I’m not a client. I say, I am, and I was gonna take my dog who’s at the pup salon next door to check on her teeth after. The employee shouts “THIS IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY”. Okay, got it - I’m in the wrong spot. I tell the two caretakers no problem. I’ll move. Owner then asks if I’m a client again. I said yes. He said thank you for being a client and then says “use your common sense” while pointing at his head. Like I’m some kind of idiot. I had zero time to react and move my car while being berated on both sides. Truly unpleasant experience. This lack of professionalism was truly unsettling. If I can’t speak to the professionals who care for my family dog in a professional manner, I can’t take then seriously to care for my dog.

Update: I have been here more recently and have not seen the same vet more than once sadly. It seems like there is new managment and they are very nice but I prefer to have the same vet for my primary vet so am now going else so to keep one primary vet. I have still gone here on short notice and had good experiences! 2020: They have been my vet since my very sweet but very dumb German Shepard puppy ate grapes and they made time to pump her stomach right away after two other vets said they couldn’t find time to help. The vet techs are so sweet and really kind to the animals. The pricing is decent which is great for an LA vet. They are thorough and informative when they share what is going on with your pet.

Went for my dogs 3mo vaccination, wouldn’t give me the shot he needs because apparently she thinks 3mo and 2 weeks is better then what his last vet recommended, they also didn’t have the anti bacterial medicine she prescribed in stock, then makes me deal with amazon and chewy adding days to my dogs medicinal needs. Tries to sell me on laser treatments for dogs ears when he only needed antibiotics. I Gave him Bactine Max over the counter and his ears are great 👍🏻 Vet then tells me four days later they have the meds in stock if I’d like to pay $10 more than what chewy was asking… after they claimed that chewy didn’t actually request the medicine, but hours later they got it all fixed. Approving their own prescription with chewy would make the most sense since I’ve been waiting days, but they need that $10. Since its now 5 days plus shipping to get what my dog needs, doesn’t matter tho, will def find another vet. And for me asking for my dogs three months vaccination and to have his ears cleaned and reposted, they charged me $450 and didn’t do anything I asked for. Bye 👋🏻
