Grace Animal Hospital is the best vet clinic I have ever experienced. I started taking my kitty, Kiwi, to them when I moved to Memphis in 2015. They took such good care of her - the vets and groomers are amazing and the front desk staff are always kind and efficient. It is easy to get ahold of them and make an appointment. Their prices are also really reasonable. Devastatingly, I had to euthanize my beloved Kiwi right before Christmas. They were able to fit me in quickly and everyone was really empathetic and treated Kiwi with the utmost care. Now, two weeks later, I just checked my mailbox and burst into tears because they sent me this beautiful card with her paw prints. I can’t recommend them enough, their humanity and gentleness will never be forgotten.

This week I lost my dog after a few days of care at Grace Animal Hospital. It was a disease that came out of nowhere and my partner never stood a chance. I could not have wished for a better place to take care of him on the last few days. Their service was absolutely amazing. They did all they could immediately, great communication throughout the process and treated him with all care in the world. They delivered the news to me, the same way I received it, with a broken heart but knowing there was nothing we could have done differently. Thank you very much for doing all you could to take care of him and me. Although not being that important in the face of losing my buddy, their costs for the services provided was also very reasonable.

I initially wasn’t going to post a review, but after looking at my dog before bed I was so frustrated, offended, hurt and angry that I needed to address this. I’ve been taking my senior Yorkie mix Fred to Grace for months and have been generally pleased with his grooming, but I’d noticed more recently that Fred now trembles profusely when I drop him off and tries to run out the front door while I’m at the counter waiting to drop him off. Because everyone seems so friendly, I simply assumed Fred just doesn’t enjoy being in a loud place away from his quiet home. This past week, I took him to be groomed in his customary Yorkie teddy bear style, but when I got him back, he still looked overgrown, scruffy and almost exactly like he did when I’d dropped him off. I brought him back a few days later and asked to have him regroomed, and I’d asked the receptionist to explain the preferred cut to the groomer to make sure we were on the same page. The groomer wasn’t in yet when I dropped Fred off, but I was assured my request would be conveyed. When I came to pick Fred up that afternoon, his fur was completely shorn all over and his face was raggedly cut. He looked like Dobby from Harry Potter, but in the worst possible way. The woman who handed him to me made a point of getting my attention again as I was leaving to tell me most emphatically to have a safe drive and a good day - her tone was that of a petty insult. I don’t know what’s going on up there, but not only is this unacceptable treatment of a paying customer, I’m now really concerned about why my dog has become so terrified of being left there. Like babies, dogs cannot talk, and I have been trusting that Fred has been treated gently and kindly when I leave him there during the day. I don’t trust Grace anymore. For reference, so this comment can’t be minimized as a he-said-she-said debate of perspective, I’ve attached photos of Fred’s normal cut; how he looked and acted when I dropped him off on October 28th before he was poorly groomed (if he was groomed at all), how he looked after he was poorly groomed, and how he looks now after the spiteful “regroom” where his fur was shorn down nearly to the skin and his facial fur was cut shapeless and choppy. As a note, the drop-off pictures are screenshots of a video of Fred repeatedly trying to run out of Grace’s front door. I’m never leaving Fred here again.

Dr. Kenny is 100% the best vet me and Ash (cat) have seen. His bedside manner is the most down to earth, empathetic, and genuinely caring we have experienced out of the 4 other vets we have seen. The staff are amazing as well, especially Michelle this morning who greeted us and showed us proper attention while juggling many other patients with grace and care. We highly recommend Grace Animal Hospital!
