Good Neighbor Vet Introduce

Welcome to Good Neighbor Vet, a unique and accessible Pet Hospital serving the Portland, Oregon community through its mobile veterinary clinic. Located at the administrative address of 6908 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Portland, OR 97225, USA, Good Neighbor Vet distinguishes itself by operating primarily via a mobile van, bringing affordable pet care services directly to various locations within the city. This innovative approach aims to make essential veterinary services more convenient and financially accessible for local pet owners.

The environment of Good Neighbor Vet is mobile, primarily operating out of a veterinary van that visits different locations according to a published schedule. This means there isn't a traditional brick-and-mortar clinic environment to describe. Instead, the "environment" is the accessible and convenient setting where the van is parked on any given day. As noted in a customer review, the van's location at a scheduled site, such as a QFC parking lot, might vary slightly, potentially being parked along a nearby street. Pet owners are advised to be attentive when arriving at the scheduled location. The focus is on efficiency and accessibility, bringing essential veterinary services directly to the community rather than requiring pet owners to travel to a fixed clinic.

The primary feature of Good Neighbor Vet is its mobile operation, which allows for greater flexibility and potentially lower overhead costs, translating to more affordable services for pet owners. According to customer reviews, Good Neighbor Vet offers "great affordable options" particularly beneficial for those who may be budget-conscious. One reviewer specifically mentioned obtaining a "great package" for their cat, which included vaccinations ("shots"), deworming, and microchipping, all at a very reasonable price. This suggests that Good Neighbor Vet focuses on providing essential preventative care services at competitive rates.

The services offered by Good Neighbor Vet, based on the available review, include at least vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping. These are core preventative care measures that are crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of pets. Vaccinations protect against common and potentially serious infectious diseases. Deworming treats and prevents internal parasites that can harm pets. Microchipping provides a permanent form of identification, significantly increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners. The availability of a package deal encompassing these services indicates a focus on comprehensive basic care.

A significant aspect of Good Neighbor Vet's service model is that it operates on a "first come first serve" basis at its mobile van locations. This means that appointments are not typically scheduled, and pet owners are advised to arrive early at the van's location to ensure they can receive the services they need. The schedule and locations of the mobile van are available on their website, which prospective clients are encouraged to visit for the most up-to-date information. This walk-in model enhances accessibility for those who may have difficulty scheduling appointments or who require more immediate preventative care.

The positive review stating "I love the work they do. They are excellent" provides a general endorsement of the quality of care provided by Good Neighbor Vet. Combined with the affordability and the range of essential services offered in a package, this suggests a valuable service for pet owners in the Portland area seeking cost-effective preventative care.

It is important to note that the provided information does not detail the full range of services that Good Neighbor Vet might offer beyond vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping. As a mobile Pet Hospital, their service offerings might be focused on preventative care and basic health needs that can be efficiently delivered in a mobile setting. For more comprehensive medical care, pet owners might need to consult a traditional brick-and-mortar veterinary clinic.

In terms of promotional information, the affordability of their services, particularly the package deal mentioned in the review, can be considered a key promotional aspect. The convenience of the mobile van and the first-come, first-served model also serve as benefits that might attract pet owners looking for accessible and budget-friendly care. Pet owners are encouraged to visit the Good Neighbor Vet website for the most current schedule of the mobile van's locations and any specific promotions or service packages being offered.

In conclusion, Good Neighbor Vet offers a valuable service to the Portland, OR community by providing excellent and affordable preventative veterinary care through its mobile clinic. Operating on a first-come, first-served basis at various scheduled locations (accessible via their website), they offer services such as vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping at competitive prices. The convenience of the mobile van brings essential pet care directly to local communities, making it a great option for pet owners seeking accessible and budget-friendly preventative services. For the most up-to-date information on the van's schedule and service offerings, please visit the Good Neighbor Vet website.

Great affordable options for when you're low on funds. Visit their website for upcoming dates for when & where the van will be. It's first come first serve so get there early if possible. Van is not always in the parking lot of where it's scheduled ie if it's at a QFC that day it may park along the street next to it... I've only brought my cat there but got a great package for shots, de worming, and chipped for a great price! Had to do 2 trips for that package.

I suggest going early because they only let a number of people go in at a time. I’ve seen people come late and they won’t take them in so they have to leave. It’s at Bi-Mart on the side outside since it’s a mobile pet clinic. I had great experience with them, they handled my kitty very gentle with care. They do check ups and vaccinations. The check ups are at a fair price imo. I love going here and will keep coming back!

Great service and convenient pop-up locations at reasonable prices. They also often have hard to find vaccines like canine influenza that vets are out of stock of.

Very poor communication skills. Made me wait outside for 40 minutes before telling me they were filled up. And the staff was EXTREMELY rude and had a stick up their butt. It’s like 90 degrees and I have a cat in a crate. You SAW ME STANDING THERE. Walked past me MANY times. Thank you for wasting my time.
