Welcome to Good Neighbor Vet
For pet owners in and around Albany, Oregon, ensuring the health and well-being of your furry companions is a top priority. Good Neighbor Vet offers a unique approach to pet care by providing mobile veterinary services, bringing essential healthcare directly to various locations within the community. As a mobile pet hospital, Good Neighbor Vet aims to offer accessible and convenient care for your dogs and cats.
Based on available information, Good Neighbor Vet operates as a mobile clinic, meaning they do not have a traditional fixed brick-and-mortar location. Instead, they set up temporary clinics at different sites. According to customer reviews, they have been known to operate at locations such as The Linn County Sheriff Animal Control Building and Coastal Farms. It is crucial for prospective clients to check their website or contact them directly at (888) 234-1350 or +1 888-234-1350 to ascertain their current location schedule.
The environment of a mobile veterinary clinic can differ significantly from a traditional hospital setting. One customer review noted that services are conducted outside, weather permitting. This is an inherent characteristic of a mobile setup. However, the same review highlighted a challenging experience during inclement weather, specifically "whipping wind and freezing rain." This suggests that while the mobile nature offers flexibility, external factors can impact the comfort and convenience of the visit. It's advisable to consider the weather conditions when planning your visit and perhaps inquire about any covered waiting areas if you are concerned about outdoor conditions.
In terms of services, Good Neighbor Vet offers care for both dogs and cats. One positive review mentioned the availability of "dogs, and cat services," indicating a broad scope of general veterinary care. While specific services are not exhaustively listed in the provided information, mobile veterinary clinics typically offer essential preventative care such as vaccinations, parasite prevention (flea, tick, and heartworm), and basic wellness exams. The positive feedback regarding "great mobile vet doctors" suggests that qualified veterinary professionals are part of their team, capable of providing necessary medical attention for your pets.
Several features of Good Neighbor Vet stand out, particularly its mobile nature. This offers potential convenience for pet owners who may find it challenging to transport their animals to a traditional clinic. The positive review mentioning "These great mobile vet doctors were able to help us and stay calm for my Boy" suggests a compassionate and patient approach, which is especially beneficial for pets with anxiety during veterinary visits. Another reviewer appreciated the ability to stay with their dog during the appointment, which can be a significant comfort for both the pet and the owner.
However, it is essential to consider some of the concerns raised in the customer reviews. One review detailed significant issues with organization, including a long wait time despite arriving early, a lack of clear check-in procedures or communication, and interruptions to the queue. The reviewer also mentioned a slow payment process and paperwork that was "barely readable and unclear." Furthermore, there was a concerning instance reported where a vaccine series was restarted without prior consultation, which the customer's regular vet deemed unnecessary. These points highlight potential drawbacks related to the operational efficiency of the mobile clinic.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given text. Typically, veterinary clinics, including mobile ones, may offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal promotions on specific services (like vaccinations or dental cleanings), or package deals for routine care. To obtain information about any current promotions or special offers, it is recommended to contact Good Neighbor Vet directly via phone or by visiting their website (if one is available and listed elsewhere online).
In summary, Good Neighbor Vet offers a mobile veterinary service in the Albany, Oregon area, catering to the needs of both dog and cat owners. The key advantage lies in its accessibility through various community locations, potentially simplifying veterinary care for some pet owners. Positive aspects include the presence of seemingly caring and capable veterinary professionals and the allowance of owners to stay with their pets during appointments. However, potential clients should be aware of the reported issues concerning organization, communication, waiting times, and administrative processes. It is advisable to weigh the convenience and potential cost savings against the reported organizational challenges and to proactively inquire about their current location schedule and any specific procedures or payment methods.
For local users in Albany, Oregon, if you are seeking a mobile veterinary option, Good Neighbor Vet presents an alternative to traditional clinics. Consider contacting them to understand their current locations and service offerings in detail. While some customers have reported positive experiences, it is prudent to also be aware of the concerns raised in other reviews regarding organization and communication to make an informed decision about your pet's healthcare needs. Always prioritize clear communication with your veterinary care provider and ensure you understand the treatment plan and any associated costs.

Mar 27, 2022 路 Tam SFirst is outside weather permitting - understood that it's a MOBILE vet after all. BUT was whipping wind and freezing rain when we went, and because they were SO disorganized - you had to continue to wait in a mile long line instead of being checked in in the order arrived, allowed to go back to the shelter of your vehicle, and messaged when your turn. We were there almost 2 hours after arriving 35 minutes before the clinic even opened. Then they allowed some patients to come up to the open van and ask questions out of order and line, which just served to further extend the wait given all these allowed interruptions. There were no instructions on checking in, getting paperwork, or anything - we just winged it and asked others. Then, their payment process is ridiculously slow. The paperwork provided as "official record" was barely readable and unclear to our standard vet. The clinic vet, without first talking to us or even asking, restarted a vaccine series on our dog that our vet said wasn't needed ultimately. Overall -- if not for the small cost savings -- I would not go back to them again. It's just a very unorganized business that might not have been worth the small cost savings in the end 馃様 might depend on what you're going for any needing ultimately.
Apr 11, 2023 路 Kelly MarshallCorvallis location was fast super friendly $70 for the exam they had the meds on site didn't have to go to a pharmacy they were fast efficient I can't say enough good things about my visit there today.
Aug 16, 2024 路 Samantha BirdWe've had good luck using these guys for our dog. The prices are low because you're not having to pay for a fancy building. The service is great. The only downside is the wait times. Often, people begin to line-up before vet arrives and it can take an hour to get served. It's especially hard because you have so many dogs all in the same location trying to wait patiently. Most people's dogs are okay, but you've always got some that disruptive (waiting for an hour on concrete isn't exactly what dogs are designed to do). If you don't mind the wait (or if overpaying for vet services aren't a possibility for you), these guys are a great option. They meet at several locations in the valley (check their website for their current schedule).
Jun 13, 2017 路 KenThe Good Vet Clinic is located in Coastal Stores. They are completely mobile and move around from different cities on certain days. Be sure to check out times and locations. Please be patient when waiting, they can be running late. Now this could be because of traffic or simply the quality of care they're giving your furry little friend. I saw first hand, a fussy fur baby who simply didn't want that shot and knew what it was(who obviously had a very bad experience before), and I have to give out a HUGE shout out to Dr. Molly Stewart for the way she handled the situation. She did an amazing job, she showed no fear just compassion and love. BRAVO!!! If you're looking for cheap vaccinations or flea medicines... CHECK THEM OUT, with QUALITY CARE of course. The staff is extremely pleasent, I'm just sorry that I didn't catch their names, sorry ladies. Be advise there will be a wait time.
