Doc and his assistants were wonderful with my Shitzu ( and I )today. They were able to quickly fit me in this morning, run some labs, and send me home with some meds. for her. They reassured me that if she wasn't better in a couple days to give them a call to follow up. I felt very comfortable with them!

Welcome to Goldfield Veterinary Clinic

Goldfield Veterinary Clinic operates as a comprehensive "Pet Hospital" within its local community, distinguishing itself by offering a broad spectrum of veterinary services that cater not only to beloved companion animals but often extend to large animals and equines as well. This versatility positions them as a vital resource for a diverse range of animal owners. The clinic's core philosophy typically revolves around providing personalized, high-quality medical care coupled with a compassionate approach, ensuring that every animal receives the attention and treatment it deserves. They aim to foster a strong relationship with pet owners, emphasizing education and preventive care to promote long-term health and well-being for all patients.

The environment at Goldfield Veterinary Clinic is designed to accommodate various types of animals while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere. For small animal patients (dogs and cats), the clinic typically features clean, well-lit reception areas and examination rooms. Efforts are often made to reduce stress, potentially including separate waiting areas or examination protocols that minimize anxiety for nervous pets. The clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic tools, such as in-house laboratories for quick blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis, as well as digital radiology (X-rays) for detailed imaging of internal structures and bones. Surgical suites are maintained to rigorous sterile standards, featuring appropriate anesthesia monitoring equipment to ensure patient safety during procedures. For large animal and equine services, the clinic may have dedicated facilities for on-site examinations and treatments, or they might primarily offer ambulatory (on-farm) services, demonstrating a commitment to accessibility and convenience for agricultural clients. The overall ambiance strives to be one of efficiency, professionalism, and genuine care, ensuring that both pets and their owners feel comfortable and supported during their visit.

Goldfield Veterinary Clinic provides an extensive range of services to cater to the diverse needs of its animal clientele. For canine and feline companions, core services include thorough wellness exams, which are essential for early detection of health issues, and customized vaccination protocols to protect against common diseases. Preventive care is a cornerstone, encompassing comprehensive parasite control programs for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal worms. Diagnostic services are robust, leveraging in-house lab equipment and radiology to provide rapid and accurate insights into a pet's health. Surgical capabilities extend to routine elective procedures like spaying and neutering, as well as emergent surgeries for injuries or acute conditions. Dental care is emphasized, offering professional cleanings and extractions as needed to maintain oral health, which significantly impacts overall well-being.

Beyond small animals, Goldfield Veterinary Clinic often provides specialized care for horses, including on-farm calls for convenience. Equine services typically cover routine teeth floating (a crucial dental procedure for horses), comprehensive vaccination programs tailored to the horse's lifestyle, and effective deworming strategies. For livestock, such as cattle and pigs, the clinic often offers herd health management, focusing on preventative care through vaccination, internal parasite reduction, biosecurity protocols, and nutritional guidance to minimize stress and optimize production. In cases where individual animals or groups within a herd become ill, the clinic provides diagnostic and treatment options, including medication administration. Furthermore, many clinics offer boarding services for dogs and cats, providing a safe and comfortable environment for pets when their owners are away. Some also utilize advanced therapies like laser therapy for pain management and accelerated healing in various conditions, from arthritis to post-surgical recovery.

Several key features underscore the dedication and comprehensive nature of Goldfield Veterinary Clinic. Their ability to provide care for a wide range of animals, from small companion pets to large farm animals and horses, is a significant differentiator, making them a one-stop solution for many local animal owners. The clinic's commitment to preventive medicine is paramount, emphasizing wellness exams, vaccinations, and parasite control as the best way to ensure long and healthy lives for pets. The integration of advanced diagnostic tools, such as ultrasound and in-house laboratory equipment, allows for quick and accurate diagnoses, leading to more effective treatment plans. A strong focus on client education is also a hallmark; the veterinary team takes the time to explain conditions, treatment options, and home care instructions thoroughly, empowering pet owners to be active participants in their pet's health journey. The compassionate and personalized approach of the staff, often highlighted in client testimonials, creates a trusting and supportive environment. Their willingness to provide on-farm calls for large animals and equines demonstrates their commitment to serving the diverse needs of the agricultural community in addition to urban pet owners. Moreover, the provision of boarding and potentially grooming services adds an extra layer of convenience for clients.

Regarding promotional information, Goldfield Veterinary Clinic, like many established "Pet Hospitals," typically offers various initiatives to encourage proactive pet health and accessibility. These promotions often vary seasonally or based on community needs. Common examples might include special pricing on routine wellness exams, especially for new clients, to encourage initial visits and comprehensive health assessments. Seasonal vaccination clinics or discounts on specific vaccine packages are often available, particularly during periods when certain diseases are more prevalent. Promotions related to dental health are also common, such as discounted dental cleanings or free dental check-ups during designated "Pet Dental Health Month" events, highlighting the importance of oral hygiene. For large animal clients, special rates on herd health consultations or bulk discounts on certain medications or vaccines might be offered. The clinic may also promote loyalty programs or package deals for comprehensive preventive care plans, making it more affordable for owners to keep up with regular check-ups and necessary preventatives. Information about these promotions is typically shared through their website, social media channels, local advertisements, and direct communication within the clinic, ensuring the community is well-informed about opportunities to save on quality veterinary care.

Our pup has gone to Goldfield vet and we have never had any complaints. The dr and staff are so thoughtful. We needed end of life care for our senior dog and they explained everything and gave us all the time we needed. We were treated with kindness, compassion and never rushed. I'll always be grateful for them.

We were using another vet and were not fully satisfied. So we started using these guys and they are the BEST. We had a senior dog that needed end of life care and they treated us the best. Will always use these guys for our other pets. Even the Friday before the 4th of July they fit us in to put our dog down and treated us with the best respect. Gave us our time and never hurried us.

I reached out to the veterinarian here for some questions regarding diagnosis and treatment from another vet. I was looking for a second opinion. She took time out of her day to listen to my situation, answer my questions, and provide me information. She was even willing to look at the bloodwork from the other vet. She didn't make me feel like a burden or try to get me to go to her instead, she was very helpful and friendly. This shows me that she actually cares about our pets and their well being, which is important to me! She didn't have to take the time to do this, especially with my pup not being a regular customer of their clinic! I will definitely be going here for future visits!

Dr Grant was awesome, however whomever is running the show now is completely careless. He prescribed a senior dog with a heart condition a medication known to cause liver failure and death in senior dogs for back pain. Despite being told what has worked best for this recurring issue in the past, he insisted that his expertise was ultimately what was best. He's caused the death of a beloved pet due to his own negligence. And as a result has just lost any further business with 6 of his patients. Completely unacceptable. This clinic has been dishonest in providing accurate pricing in the past for a procedure as well. All in all, save yourself the risk of a negligent vet and take your pets elsewhere.
