I am not usually one to ever leave a negative review on things, but my experience here was so awful that I feel obligated to. I went here back in July because my girl was having a health scare I couldn't identify. Being a newer cat owner, I was unsure if emergency vet services were handled the same way they were in humans, so, I called them ahead of time and asked if they took walk-in emergency appointments. Well, the lady who answered the phone, who I later identified as the receptionist, was exceptionally rude. I understand people can be annoying, but I was genuinely uninformed and couldn't find conclusive results to answer my question on their website. I had to go in anyway, as this was the closest emergency veterinary clinic to me. I was completely unaware of the severity of my baby's condition as it was very sudden and all the research I did gave me inconclusive results, so I went into it with a relatively positive attitude, assuming maybe it was just a tummy bug. Well, as it turned out, it was kidney failure. It was very sudden and felt like it progressed faster than it should have, and the vet, understandably so, gave me the ultimatum of hospitalizing her, or putting down. I understand that's her job, and she was providing a service... but the way she went about it was so devoid of emotion, so careless, like my baby girl was just a check for her to cash in. I was baffled at the way she spoke to me about it. Well, being disabled, I did not come in financially prepared for a $2000+ hospitalization. I of course explored all of my options, trying to see if I prequalified for Care Credit, and even asking around in my circles to see if anybody could contribute and I'd pay them back. Ultimately though, I couldn't even pay half of what they were asking me, so I had no option but to put her down. Listen, I am a very understanding person. I know that this line of work is probably really difficult, especially when it comes to handling owners during end of life services, I get it believe me. Pardon my language, but holy HELL was this veterinarian so unsympathetic and unprofessional. While we were saying our goodbyes to our darling girl, she would pop in, no joke, EVERY OTHER MINUTE to ask if we were gonna pay, in the most rude way possible. It was like I had spat in her face or something, with the way she was speaking to me. I just gave her my card so she'd leave us alone. Even after she was gone and we finished sobbing our eyes out holding her, the receptionist was still rude to us when we stepped out. Needless to say we will not ever be returning to this emergency clinic.

Thank you so much for taking care of our family during a difficult time. We appreciate your empathy and words of compassion. We had the awful situation of finding out our baby had hemangioma sarcoma, and a tumor likely ruptured causing her to go down hill fast. We were told that there is no right or wrong answer for whatever choice we made, they gave us multiple options for care and were very upfront with how much longer our baby had to live even with surgery. Thank you again for your kindness during an awful situation.

I have been going to Dr. Lea at Glenstone vet for the last 2 years! I brought her my 6 week old puppy who had a terrible skin condition and she helped me treat it. That puppy is now almost 2 and has the most beautiful fur! Couldn’t have done it without her expertise!

We showed up at Glenstone vet because our beloved clinic closed and our cat Oswald had to have emergency surgery. The ER clinic sent us there for his day observation, and we were so pleased with Dr. Lea! She took the time to talk with us about what our cats needs would be now that we know he has a tendency towards urinary tract blockages, and she and her staff were very pleasant to interact with. We are planning to see them regularly with our little menagerie! Thank you all so much for taking great care of Oswald. His hunger strike promptly ended at home, he loves the new food, and he has resumed being the little terrorist we know and love.

I had my dog in for a first time visit today with veterinarian Karen Lea. This person could not possibly have treated us with less respect. I don't know what may have taken place there today before us? Maybe there's a reason for her behavior? She walked in no introduction reaching for the treats and throwing them in the floor never taking the time to pet my dog, or kneel down and let my dog smell or get to know her. My dog began to try and hide, and get away. No trust established. My dog is sick, that's why she was there. The condescending remarks and sarcasm was truly shocking. When I had seen and heard enough and began to intervene for my dog that was being chased around the room she asked us to leave. Never experienced anything like this ever.
