Genie had a bad reaction to 4 year rabies shot that cost was over $3000 in sickness in to get her stable. she wasn’t seen for 13 months and she got hurt went to call them and the answer was she hasn’t been in for a year and we r not the among new patients. I drove 14 hours down to New Smyrna Beach, to stay with friends before heading over to Orlando, to complete in the National Dog Show, and my dog quickly found out about the local insects. In a panic I searched for a veterinarian close by and drove to this clinic because it was 2 mins from where we were staying. I understand this isn’t a “walk in clinic” but I tried to explain the situation to the lady at the front desk and she told me no, and even refused to ask the veterinarian even after pleading to her with tears in my eyes. She tried to send me 40 mins away to a Clinic, in a completely different city. Luckily, I found another Veterinarian in New Smyrna Beach, that actually had some compassion and understanding. A 5 minute examination, an allergy shot, and topical cream, we were out the door and on our way. It’s an absolute shame that Glencoe Veterinary Hospital, doesn’t exhibit the same dedication to care of animals. If you’re ever in the area, I would highly recommend going to another vet less than 10 mins from this one. They obviously are too busy to see an out of town stranger with a dog having an allergic reaction in need of a 5 minute examination.

Called and had to leave a message to set up an appointment. They never called back. Finally, after more issues with my dogs I called again. And again, I had to leave a message. Even though it's 8:15am the message keeps telling you that you are calling outside of normal working hours. Mind you, they open at 8am. I kept calling and finally I got a receptionist. I explain that no one ever called back more than a week and a half ago. She apologizes. I explain my dog is not eating and because of its size she is really unwell and can't afford to lose weight. Rather than set up an appointment she starts to ask why my dogs did not receive a rabies vaccine. I explain that the doctor at Glencoe told me that with my dogs being 15 years old and so small that it would be in their best interest not to give them a shot and said she would waive it for me. Finally, we get back to the issue, and she tells me they may have an appointment the first of next month, in three weeks. I end the conversation. I call Animal Clinic of Casselberry my dog's original vet. I haven't been there in over 2 years because I moved and it's an hour away. They say no problem, bring them in. I don't know how this clinic has a high rating unless they just cater to the people who have been with them for years and don't really care about new patients. I was SUPER disappointed! -1 star if I could.

I have been with Glencoe Veterinary Hospital for many years. I have always experienced excellent care for my dogs. The staff is professional, kind, and concerned for their welfare. Dr. Bryant goes above and beyond. She will search and consult with specialist as needed. I am from the north and have interacted with many vets including through rescues. I have met some that do not deserve a rating. Others have no business in the field and others that are wonderful. Dr. Bryant tops them all. My dogs knew her Dad and she is very much as kind and loving as he was with my dogs. If you are looking for a Vet and staff that loves your animals as much as you do. Glencoe is your answer
