Found this place because they saw exotics and my rabbit had an eye infection. Went back for my dogs since they were fine with the rabbit. We are Not satisfied with Dr. Marr or the customer service and speed of care at the establishment. My dogs suffered with symptoms for days while we waited for a call back and were ignored after expensive testing and dewormers that did not treat the parasite they had. Diarrhea and vomiting, getting more and more ill. When I tried to write a more detailed review I got a letter from them threatening legal action if I didn’t remove my review.

The environment at Genesee Valley Veterinary Hospital is designed with the comfort of both pets and their owners in mind. While specific visual descriptions of the interior are not provided, their emphasis on "low-stress handling techniques" and the use of "calming pheromones" suggests a conscious effort to create a welcoming and anxiety-reducing atmosphere. This approach is crucial for veterinary visits, as many animals can become stressed in unfamiliar clinical settings. A well-maintained and hygienic facility is fundamental to any reputable pet hospital, ensuring a safe and clean environment for examinations, procedures, and recovery. The location on Lakeville Road makes it easily accessible for residents in Geneseo and the surrounding communities. A professional reception area, comfortable waiting spaces, and well-equipped examination rooms would be expected to facilitate efficient and compassionate care. Genesee Valley Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive array of services, positioning itself as a full-service "Pet Hospital" capable of addressing a wide range of animal health needs. Their services include essential preventive pet care, such as annual wellness exams that cover nose-to-tail assessments, appropriate vaccinations, and diagnostic testing tailored to each pet's needs. They are strong believers in preventive care, aiming for early detection and treatment of medical conditions to ensure pets live long, healthy lives. The hospital also provides comprehensive treatment for various illnesses and injuries, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology. A notable service is their expertise in caring for "exotics," including rabbits, as highlighted in a customer review, indicating a specialized capability beyond typical canine and feline care. Surgical services encompass soft tissue surgeries like spays, neuters, and mass removals, with a dedicated surgical room and continuous monitoring during procedures. They also partner with board-certified specialists for orthopedic and more complex surgeries, bringing top-tier expertise directly to their clinic. Dental care is a key offering, with a dedicated dental suite featuring digital dental radiographs, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, along with pre-anesthetic bloodwork and pain management protocols. Diagnostic capabilities include digital full-body radiographs, digital dental radiographs, a full range of bloodwork, diagnostic ultrasound, echocardiograms, allergy testing, and parasite testing and treatment. The emphasis on "low-stress handling techniques" demonstrates a proactive approach to patient comfort and well-being. Furthermore, the hospital highlights its "Family Feel," where veterinarians and staff are passionate about animals and building lasting relationships with clients. Their dedication to continuously updating clinic features and standards of care, along with their pride in "teaching new generations of veterinarians and veterinary technicians," underscores a forward-thinking and quality-driven approach to veterinary medicine. Do not go here!!! They charge for extra things that they aren’t even performing on your pet! I stopped going and now they refuse to send me a prescription that I already paid for. Scam of an office! Shame on them for taking advantage of people who just want to get their pets properly cared for. EDIT: To their response. I have proof that I was charged extra for fecal testing that I did not request for they just told me to bring a sample for their first visit and did not tell me I would be charged. (I have the voicemail) and then after their visit my dogs did in fact have parasites even after they told me the results were negative! Please explain how a test (if actually performed) comes back negative when they have visible worms in their poop! I was so upset about how much I was over charged even on the second visit that I did not go back to the 3rd. And even though I paid for the exam and they had all of my dogs information for their prescription they denied it saying it was because I missed their appointment. So Nevermind the FACT that I paid almost $700 to these people to insure I can get their meds, and they emailed me their prescription that I PAID for, they refused to complete my prescription because of a missed appointment or because of this review?? Absolutely BAD business people. No reason to lie. Like I said I have PROOF. And now they are trying to scare me into removing this review. Not happening as I hope no one else goes through this with this terrible office.

Great place! They got me and my cat Harvey in quickly, and all the staff were nice and friendly. Felt very comfortable and at ease. They seemed knowledgeable and we did not wait long. Prices seemed reasonable as well. Harvey even liked licking the cheese off of the vets fingers! Will be returning
