I had a great experience at this emergency vet with my dog. I took him in because he had been vomiting and diarrhea for 6 days and we noticed blood in it. We saw Dr Arye and she was very nice, listened to my concerns and suggested how we should proceed. I did ask the cost of each thing we were doing to not be surprised with a monster bill at the end. I was seen right away and we were checking out a little over an hour with everything. Dr Arye also suggested we switch his food and gave us a few cans to try and thankfully my dog loved the food and he will stay on it as long as he’s feeling good. Dr Arye was kind and compassionate, we hope to see her again if we have an emergency. I thought the prices were fair and all tests were explained to me before hand. The office called me with test results as they came back and they called to see how my dog was feeling. Thankfully all the meds that were prescribed to him helped and he’s feeling better. I highly recommend GSVS Woodbridge emergency vet.

Based on customer reviews, Garden State Veterinary Services Woodbridge appears to offer emergency veterinary care. One customer shared a positive experience, detailing prompt attention for their dog's vomiting and diarrhea with blood. They specifically mentioned Dr. Arye, who was described as nice and attentive, explaining procedures and associated costs upfront. The customer appreciated the quick service, follow-up calls with test results and to check on their dog's well-being, and found the prices fair. They highly recommend GSVS Woodbridge for emergency situations.
However, another customer's experience focused on their attempt to seek orthopedic care. While their pet was never treated at Garden State Veterinary Hospital (GSVH-Woodbridge), they reported an initial abruptness from the receptionist when trying to schedule an appointment. Although they did make an appointment, this initial interaction led them to seek care elsewhere. Subsequently, they experienced difficulty canceling the appointment, including a prolonged hold time and a later confirmation text for the canceled appointment. This customer's experience highlights the importance of customer service in their decision-making process.
The reviews suggest that Garden State Veterinary Services Woodbridge provides emergency care with a seemingly compassionate and efficient medical team, as highlighted by the positive emergency experience. However, there may be inconsistencies in the front office customer service, as indicated by the challenges faced when scheduling and canceling a specialty appointment.
Information regarding the overall environment of the facility, the full range of veterinary services offered (beyond emergency and potentially orthopedics), or any current promotional information is not detailed in these reviews. Local users seeking veterinary care at Garden State Veterinary Services Woodbridge may want to consider these differing customer service experiences and potentially inquire about the specific services they require and the appointment process.

Mar 23, 2025 · Ewelina HohenfelsI want to share my experience regarding a recent interaction while searching for orthopedic care for my dog. I want to clarify that my pet has never been treated at Garden State Veterinary Hospital (GSVH-Woodbridge). When I first called to make an appointment with their orthopedic specialist, the receptionist was a bit abrupt, which made me uncertain about proceeding. However, I made an appointment for my dog to be seen. I continued my search for a facility with a more welcoming atmosphere; I found Redbank Animal Hospital. The receptionist there was incredibly personable, which gave me a bit of reassurance. After a 50-minute drive for an evaluation at Redbank, I felt confident that this would be the right place for my dog’s surgery and ongoing care. As a courtesy, I decided to call GSVH to cancel my appointment. Unfortunately, I encountered the same receptionist, and after identifying myself and explaining the reason for my call, I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes without a follow-up. I eventually had to hang up due to the wait. Today, I got a text to confirm my 04.11.25 appointment (the same one I called to cancel prior). Hence, I called again to ensure the appointment was canceled, this time getting a receptionist who seemed much more welcoming. However, I will maintain follow-up and care at Redbank. This experience emphasizes the importance of customer service in building a successful business. A positive interaction can significantly influence a client's decision and loyalty.
Apr 08, 2025 · Pauline Patterson-WhilbyOur dog, Rex, had a very complex mass in his colon that needed removal. After much research, we decided to trust GSVS with our boy. He ended up having a colon resection, which is considered a major surgery. We had our consult with Dr. Pintar, who came highly recommended. He did not disappoint. He spent time with us reviewing Rex's case, imaging, and medical records and gave us all treatment options and helped us weigh out pros and cons. He is extremely knowledgeable and helped guide us through this scary process. When we ultimately decided to move forward with the surgery, Dr. Pintar helped to facilitate and schedule the surgery with Dr. Park within the practice. Dr. Park is a brilliant surgeon who walks you through what to expect and spends the time to answer any questions you might have. I knew right away Rex would be in great hands with her. Surgery went smoothly and communication was great from Dr. Park. Rex was there for two nights to recover and the staff was always happy to provide us with updates on how he was doing. Dr. Murphy would call us each morning to provide an update and it gave us so much peace of mind. Rex is now 4 weeks post op and doing amazing! Rex means everything to us, and the phenomenal care he received at GSVS impressed us so much! We are so happy he had such a great outcome, and are eternally grateful to the GSVS staff. We highly recommend GSVS for any of your pets needs!
