FurWell at Barkingham

Have you ever had a cat with asthma? If you have, you would know that your vet becomes your cats lifeline. Our first cat livimg with asthma, Yzma lived with asthma for 6 years and as such, we became very familiar with her vet in Greenwood. Sadly, Yzma passed away due to an asthma attack in 2021. When we moved back to Greenville, we went back to our original vet at Hudson Road Vet Clinic. October 2024, that vet closed. Our information went to Furwell, but we waited until it was necessary to reestablish at a new vet. To be fair, I shopped around a bit, but nobody "impressed" me. So I went back to Furwell. Why? Because they impressed me. Recently I became aware that Yzma's mom is also showing signs of asthma. Earlier this week she woke me up with an asthma attack. It scared me. Because I feared we had waited too long. I thought she was going to die before i could get her help. We reached out to Furwell and received immediate help and guidance. We had an immediate plan in place and could have gotten her in that day. Since Phantom was stable, we elected to make an appointment for the next day. When we arrived at the office, the care and attention to detail struck me. Our kitty's name was on the TV welcoming her. No one was in the waiting area. And initially I thought, like most people, maybe something is wrong. Like a restaurant that is empty, maybe you don't want to go eat there, right! But after being placed in an exam room, I saw the culture they are creating at Furwell. High touch, personalized attention with you and your pet and privacy to minimize your pets stress with the process. The team came to you. Each person and their pet has their own room, and even the check out process was in one place. No need for a waiting room. Concierge feeling. Then I started to worry. I believed it was going to be very expensive. I was pleasantly surprised that the investment in my pet was very reasonable and affordable. I have read several one star reviews from others coming from the previous vet, Barkingham, saying they felt it was too expensive. And I am sorry that you feel this way. We love our cat, Phantom, but are on a strict budget too. Living on savings to start a business. And need to be careful in whatever we invest money into, even our pets. It was worth every penny and very affordable for a premium experience. I cannot express how impressed I was. The offices are creating a new culture and a new way to provide exceptional care of both pets and pet parents. If you are looking for just antother vet, go to Petsmart. If you are looking for an integral team aprroach for your pet care management, where you are valued and your pet truly is the center of the experience, then Furwell and Dr. Tyler is for you. Give them a try. You won't regret it. I certainly will be back with our other pets. Lizette

This place since it has changed to FurWell, this company is legally robbing you now. Prices now are astronomically high. I used to get medication that cost $15, went in today for the same medicine, and now has went up to $60!! Absolutely highway robbery! I will be finding another vet.

Excellent profesional caring loving staff Prices are fair honest and good caring services. They love animals they do care . I highly recommend it. They are good to my Miley. We are happy.

No longer my vet, if it would let me post with zero stars i would, they doubled the prices when it was sold with no warning and no longer split the pills for you, yet the prices doubled, what a joke, if you see good reviews look at the date, they are from years ago, I hope they fail miserably... and Farwell don't respond, don't care what you jerks have to say...I will find a better vet than you, and keep deleting my reviews, i will continue to replace it....

My husband and I are dealing with a dog that started having seizures in January and they have let us call with questions, giving them updates on how often she has them and other symptoms without billing us for every call or demanding we bring her in. They have been amazing in this hardship even helping us make the decision it's time for our baby to get some peace. One of the hardest decisions as a pet owner and they have been a huge support for us. Thank you Barkingham staff.
