I had to come write a review after the amazing care we received for our dog today. Dobby is our baby, he’s just shy of a year old, rescuing him a few months ago. He had to have an emergency visit today. They took him in immediately, were very kind, I called to check on him and they happily gave me an update, I wasn’t on hold long. He had not been a patient of theirs before. Picking him up I saw my sweet pea hanging out in the office behind a baby gate. We failed to mention to them… he can open doors! Escape artist is now in his chart lol. Instead of trying to force him to be a scared by himself, as I know they could’ve secured him, he was comforted by staff. A cow stuffy and a nice blanket to lay on. My animals have always been true family to me, and they cared for him like I would’ve hoped! Dobby is just fine now, snuggled up with his toy now missing the squeaker (that’s how you know he’s doing much better), and we will definitely be back. Next time on better terms! THANK YOU for going above and beyond for us today.

Bit of backstory for this to make sense, I use to live in Hampton and sent my Great Pyrenees to Freed every Wednesday for daycare. I, at the time, lived in an apartment and wanted him to be able to run around and play. The staff took great care of him; he would come home brushed, tired, and was always excited to go back. They also handled all his medical checks and shots. Prior to moving to Rushmere and across the JRB, I was set on Freed. Now the biggest reason for this review. When my husband and I moved, the house we bought had a bunch of strays that would hang out around the carport. I fell in love with one and got attached, however we had just gotten a cat not too long prior and I didnt want to stress her out so we kept the stray outdoors and loved him from there. In October, my husband was walking me to my car and saw Munchie (the cat) laying on our stairs with a severely broken leg. Thankfully we were able to get Munchie in a carrier and taken to Animal Control. About a week after, I received a call saying they were not going to be able to help Munchie, but if I wanted to save him I could. Without thinking, I accepted and immediately called Freed. After explaining the situation and the length of time that had passed, they advised me to bring him to them ASAP. I did just that and they squeezed him in between appointments and stayed late to care for him. He was with them extended time to ensure he took well to surgery and was adjusted well. Communication was an all time high and they did everything I could have asked for and more. I have even gotten calls and messages asking how he has been doing and to check on him. Im forever thankful for the care that was provided.

Where do I start? I was having trouble finding long term boarding for my 2 dogs. They took me in as family , calmed me and set up boarding. My dogs love it there the doctors and staff are so amazing. I would never board my dogs anywhere else. They make you feel like family. I live this practice

I’ve been going to Freed for years. They diagnosed my cat Fuzzy with an infected tooth on Tuesday morning, before Thanksgiving. They said I’d receive an estimate by Wednesday morning at the latest. I have tried repeatedly to get this estimate but the office seems to always be closed. It’s crazy to me that this place can’t get me a simple estimate so I can figure out how to proceed. I’d not be leaving a review like this if I could get them to respond to my other attempts of communication.

Dr. K, her techs, and her staff are wonderful. She actually sat down on the floor to introduce herself to my cat. Her staff are friendly and very helpful, and the techs are top rate. I recommend this place whole heartedly.
