Fort Hunt Animal Hospital

My family has been bringing our pets to Fort Hunt Animal Hospital since I was a child. It’s A wonderful vet and over the course of 20 years I have never had an issue with them. I have also never felt compelled to write a review until now. Dr. Perez deserves recognition for how great she is! I have a very difficult, aggressive Chihuahua and Dr. Perez has taken the time to get to know him and treats him with kindness and respect despite his unpleasant demeanor. She also went out of her way to ask about my other dog, who is also under her care. She is kind, caring, thoughtful and goes above and beyond, which is greatly appreciated. Another person who deserves recognition is Erin at the front desk. She is so kind, compassionate and helpful. She has great communication and is always going above and beyond as well. The entire staff is wonderful I am so grateful to all of them!

We love Fort Hunt, all of the staff and doctors, for both of our pup daughters! We have never had such top-notch quality of care from any other vet, so much so that we would drive up from Richmond when we were based there. Everyone at Fort Hunt is so knowledgeable, competent, and compassionate--whether it has been for a surgery, boarding, or just routine checkups, our dogs have always been treated with the utmost care. We'll never go anywhere else :)

Dr. L. Gomez is thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She patiently answered all of my zillion questions. I took my dog to Fort Hunt Animal Hospital after her limp continued to get worse. Dr. Gomez took her time explaining everything to me and kept me updated throughout the day while she sedated my dog to do tests. When I went to pick up my dog LaLa, Dr. Gomez reviewed all the x-rays and information from the exam and prepared a thorough discharge packet. I trust her with my dogs life and am confident that my dog is getting the best care.

Helped my cat immensely after his surgery, they listened to my concerns and talked with me about options. They helped walk me through affordable options and gave me resources on things they couldn't help with - overall, were just so willing to help and work with me through the whole process. Switching my cat's primary Vet to Fort Hunt!

We needed a new vet for our dog after moving to this area and I chose Fort Hunt after looking at many,many vets. I am so glad I chose them to care for my boy. Everyone is friendly and we always feel so welcomed. They are great with my anxious dog and are always there to answer questions. I love that they call the day after appointments to follow up and see how things are going and to just see if we have any questions. They are not pushy if you don't want certain tests/treatments and the cost of their services are fair. As long as we are in the area I plan on using them for all of my pet's needs.
