I was happy to see there was a vet clinic in the neighborhood. But after coming in for a visit I regretted it. I initially came in asking about the price for spaying for both of my cats. I was told first we need to do a check up and vax and THEN I would be able to drop them off for surgery. I scheduled the check up and vax and went through with it for 60$ (each). Then I asked what’s next with the surgery and only then was the 500$ price disclosed to me. I felt deceived because this was something I asked about before everything. In terms of how the vet treated my pets I hated to watch. He moved carelessly and so quickly, that he vaccinated my 4month old kitty without taking the air out of the syringe, I quickly asked if he was supposed to not check for air and confirmed he should’ve. I was scared at this point and then it was time for my 5 year old cat, he took a bit more time this second time. But that doesn’t make him innocent for the first. There was no reason for rushing, the shop was empty. The intake was rushed, reason why I didn’t get the right info. And the communication was POOR.

You can contact the clinic at (908) 868-6675 or +1 908-868-6675 for inquiries or to schedule an appointment.

Based on available information, Fordham Veterinary Clinic appears to be a facility where pet owners can seek medical attention for their animals. As a Pet Hospital, the clinic's primary function is to provide veterinary care, which typically includes consultations, examinations, treatments, and potentially surgical procedures. The presence of a veterinary clinic in the neighborhood offers convenience for local pet owners seeking healthcare services for their animals.

One customer review indicates an initial positive impression of having a local veterinary clinic. However, this review also raises concerns regarding transparency in pricing for services, specifically mentioning the cost of spaying for cats. The customer reported that a check-up and vaccinations were required before the spay cost was fully disclosed, leading to a feeling of being misled about the overall expense. This highlights the importance of clear and upfront communication regarding the costs of all procedures and services.

The same review also expresses concerns about the handling of the pets during vaccinations. It describes the veterinarian as moving quickly and carelessly, noting an instance where a vaccine was administered to a young kitten without the air being removed from the syringe. The reviewer's observation and confirmation that this was an error raise questions about the level of care and attention to detail during medical procedures. The reviewer noted a difference in the handling of their second cat, with more time taken, but this did not negate the initial negative experience.

The review further mentions a rushed intake process, which the customer believes contributed to the lack of clear information provided initially. Poor communication was also cited as a significant issue during the visit. These points underscore the importance of effective communication between the veterinary staff and pet owners to ensure a positive and informed experience.

In contrast, another customer review presents a more positive experience. This review highlights the ability to get a fast, same-day appointment for a small kitten. The reviewer praises the doctor's efficiency in determining the kitten's age, sex, and condition. Furthermore, the clinic was reported to have the necessary medications for the treatment, and the services were described as being offered at an affordable price. This positive feedback suggests that some pet owners have had satisfactory experiences with the clinic's services and pricing.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is important for potential clients to be aware of both the positive and negative feedback. While one reviewer appreciated the prompt service, availability of medication, and affordability, the other raised significant concerns about price transparency, the handling of pets during procedures, and the quality of communication.

As a Pet Hospital, Fordham Veterinary Clinic likely offers a range of services that are typically expected from such a facility. These may include general check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostic services, treatments for illnesses and injuries, and surgical procedures such as spaying and neutering. The availability of necessary medications, as mentioned in one review, suggests that the clinic is equipped to provide immediate treatment for certain conditions.

The environment of Fordham Veterinary Clinic is not explicitly described in the provided information. However, like any Pet Hospital, it is expected to have examination rooms, possibly a surgical suite, and areas for housing animals temporarily if needed for observation or recovery. The cleanliness and organization of these areas are crucial for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the animals.

Features of Fordham Veterinary Clinic, based on the reviews, appear to include the possibility of same-day appointments, which can be beneficial for urgent situations. The availability of necessary medications on-site is another potential feature that can expedite treatment. However, the inconsistencies highlighted in the reviews regarding communication and procedural care should also be taken into consideration.

Promotional information is not provided in the given text. It is common for veterinary clinics to offer promotions for certain services, such as vaccinations or dental cleanings, or to provide wellness packages for routine care. Interested individuals are advised to contact Fordham Veterinary Clinic directly to inquire about any current promotions or special offers.

In conclusion, Fordham Veterinary Clinic is a Pet Hospital located in the Bronx, New York. While one customer experienced prompt service and affordable care, another reported issues with price transparency, the handling of their pets during procedures, and communication. Potential clients should consider these differing experiences when deciding whether to seek veterinary care at this facility. It is recommended to communicate clearly with the clinic regarding all aspects of care, including pricing and procedures, to ensure a satisfactory experience for both the pet and the owner.

This vet has gotten his license suspended in New Jersey. I took my puppy to see him when her leg was accidentally fractured he showed no compassion and was unnecessarily rough. He ordered an xray just to send us home with pain killers.
