1st time using humane society (this is one of their offices) and I was very pleased. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and best pricing available! Wish I knew about them for puppy shots but I already had that done and had them neuter my pup.

RIP OFF! I moved to the Hickory area this year. I needed a new Vet for my schnauzer, Cha Cha. She was current on all shots & heartworm test. I made an online appt & paid upfront (as they require) for an annual check up so I could continue to keep her on Simparica Trio (she was currently taking). They do not sell the medication at the office. They told me to order it online at Vet Source. I ordered a 3 month supply. Now it’s time to order more. I realized Vet Source is $10 a dose more than I have ever had to pay before. I went online & ordered her meds from Chewy. They contact your vet for approval. Today Chewy contacted b/c Foothills Animal Center declined the order. I called the office & the lady said they needed to see Cha Cha again. She knew she was just there 3 months ago. She said Cha Cha needed to be on the meds monthly. I explained to her that we have NEVER missed a monthly dose & that I had order the last 3 months from Vet Source. Then she said, okay contact them & have them send something over. I told her I wanted to order the meds from Chewy.com. She then told me that they couldn’t approve it. I would have to purchase it from Vet Source. I feel like that is a total money scam. You have to use their expensive online RX for your pet meds. They should at least explain this to you before they accept your payment. BEWARE of the scam!!!!!

My cat was brought here to get spayed and after a month and a half her incision still didn’t heal , eventually it opened up and i made sure she was calm and put a cone and surgical suit on her so she wouldn’t lick it , but it still opened up , i’m not sure why if weeks have passed i would’ve been sure it should have been okay but no , it opened up and got infected i asked them what i should do they said they didn’t do post op after 3 weeks , they wanted to see how it looked like in order to see her again to see if it was infected and how it looked but to wait for a rescheduling appointment would already be waiting too long , it’s not really possible for be to take a picture of it because my cat wouldn’t let me . until i went to the vet she helped me take a picture of it . Please do research on where you take your pets to get fixed , i’m not really sure if in different places they get fixed differently and that’s why they heal differently I’ve taken my pets to the Cabarrus spay and neuter clinic and never had problems there but since i needed to get my pet fixed asap i brought her here and regret it .

The staff were courtesy and efficient for the neuter appointment. I love the drop off/drive thru setup because it feels safer for the pets as opposed to everyone being in the lobby at one time. The parking for check in/check out is across the street.
