Never have a problem getting an appointment especially when it’s immediately needed. They have exam rooms for just cats. My cat hated going to the vet. Always wanted to stay in the carrier, but here she stays out of the carrier and just lays on the exam table. Everyone working there is helpful and the vet’s are great.

Welcome to Florence Animal Hospital

Welcome to Florence Animal Hospital, a dedicated veterinary care facility located at 2520 Melon St, Florence, SC 29501, USA. This establishment serves as a crucial resource for pet owners in the Florence area, providing a wide array of services designed to ensure the health and well-being of their beloved animal companions. Operating as a comprehensive "Pet Hospital," Florence Animal Hospital offers a supportive and professional environment for pets ranging from routine check-ups to more specialized medical interventions.

The environment at Florence Animal Hospital is designed with the comfort and specific needs of animals in mind. Understanding that a visit to the vet can be a stressful experience for some pets, particularly cats, the hospital has taken thoughtful measures to create a calming atmosphere. A notable feature, as highlighted by a customer review, is the provision of "exam rooms for just cats." This dedicated space is a significant advantage for feline patients, as it minimizes stress and exposure to other animals, which can be a common source of anxiety. The review specifically mentions a cat that "hated going to the vet" but, at Florence Animal Hospital, "stays out of the carrier and just lays on the exam table." This speaks volumes about the tranquil and accommodating nature of the facility for cats, fostering a more positive and less stressful experience for them and their owners. While the information doesn't explicitly detail the dog-specific areas, it can be inferred that similar considerations are given to canine patients to ensure their comfort as well.

Florence Animal Hospital provides a comprehensive suite of veterinary services, encompassing preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment for a variety of pet health concerns. While a full list of all services is not explicitly provided, based on typical pet hospital offerings and customer reviews, it can be confidently stated that they offer essential services such as vaccinations, which a customer mentioned their dog received. Routine check-ups, preventative medicine, and general health assessments are undoubtedly core offerings. The ability to "never have a problem getting an appointment especially when it’s immediately needed" suggests a robust scheduling system and a commitment to accommodating urgent care needs, which is invaluable for pet owners during emergencies or unexpected health issues. This flexibility in scheduling indicates a responsive and dedicated team.

Beyond the core medical services, the friendly and helpful nature of the staff is a recurring theme in customer feedback. One review explicitly states, "Everyone working there is helpful and the vet’s are great," and another reiterates, "Staff are friendly and helpful." This emphasis on customer service and compassionate interaction is a key feature of Florence Animal Hospital. A supportive and empathetic staff can significantly alleviate the concerns of pet owners, making the overall experience more positive. The veterinarians themselves are highly regarded, suggesting a team of skilled and knowledgeable professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for their animal patients. Their expertise contributes significantly to the hospital's reputation and the trust placed in them by the community.

Regarding pricing and promotional information, a customer review offers a mixed perspective. While acknowledging the quality of care and staff, the cost of services is a point of concern for some. The review states, "Cost is terrible. Have had my dog treated there, and vaccinated. Was too costly." A specific example given is a nail clipping service for $40.00, or "$10.00 per FOOT!!" This feedback indicates that while the quality of care is appreciated, the pricing structure might be perceived as higher compared to other options, prompting a customer to seek a "good ole country vet." While promotional offers are not detailed in the provided information, it is common for veterinary hospitals to offer new client specials, seasonal discounts on vaccinations or dental cleanings, or loyalty programs. Interested pet owners are encouraged to directly contact Florence Animal Hospital at (843) 799-5125 or +1 843-799-5125 to inquire about their current pricing, payment options, and any available promotions. Understanding the full scope of costs and potential ways to manage them, such as pet insurance or payment plans, is always advisable when considering veterinary care.

In summary, Florence Animal Hospital stands out as a well-regarded pet hospital in Florence, SC, offering a comprehensive range of veterinary services with a strong emphasis on creating a comfortable and stress-free environment for pets, particularly cats with their dedicated exam rooms. The facility is staffed by a team of friendly, helpful, and highly competent veterinarians and support staff, who are committed to providing excellent care. While the pricing may be a consideration for some, the quality of care and the positive experiences of many pet owners underscore the hospital's dedication to animal welfare. For local users seeking reliable and compassionate veterinary care, Florence Animal Hospital presents a strong option, and direct communication is encouraged to discuss specific needs, services, and any potential promotional offers.

Dr. Colon was amazing! She solved my dog's problem and gave great advice to prevent it again. The front staff was as nice as always and my wait was not long, which was surprising as I was a same day work in. The tech (name starts with an M, can't remember the rest) was so helpful and sweet and she answered my many questions. They even let me go ahead and get his pre surgery labs drawn, since this was an unexpected visit, to save me an extra trip. I am so glad I switched to this vet!
