We've always had a great experience here! We have a dog and cat and can always trust we will be able to see a vet ASAP when the need arises or for their annual checkups. We've also used their boarding and grooming services for our dog and they did a great job with both. The staff is always friendly and the facilities are well maintained and clean.

If I could give zero starts I would. The one star is for the gentleman at the front desk who is taking a beating for this horrible practice. I transferred my dogs to Flint once we moved to the area. Last week my eldest dog stopped eating and just went lethargic. She is 13 years old so I assumed it was her time. I called the office and explained that I think my dog is dying and I don't know what to do. I was told to bring her in. Once I walked in with her in my arms the woman at the front desk said this is the emergency visit to the other woman at the desk with her. She asked "well what does she want" and the other woman said "she thinks her dog is dying" in the coldest, most annoyed voice. The second woman said to me "well come on" and took me to a room where she said I guess someone will be with you soon. The vet herself was caring and it was determined my baby was in kidney failure she said she needed to come back the next day for fluids. I dropped her off at 7 am and heard nothing so I called and was told the vet (Dr. Carr) on duty was at lunch and she would call me when she returned. Nothing still so I called back and was told she wasn't coming back until 4pm. Finally at 4pm a TECH calls me and tells me to pick her up at 5pm. My husband picks her up the vet does not come into the room to talk to us they send their receptionist who is a very nice man but is having to google the medications on her form so we know what she was given. They gave her pain medication without any communication to us. The vet refused to speak to us and we were told she was only really pet sitting because my dog wasn't her patient. They demanded payment even though her treatment wasn't over. We took our girl home. My four dogs are no longer with Flint River Animal Hospital.

I have been to about 5 vets in the last two years. Never really finding a good fit. Or someone who's completely honest.. Nor had I found somebody who cared about my pet as much as I do Doctor Lowe is absolutely amazing..You want someone who care and doesn't over charge . The staff is also amazing.

Brought my dog in years ago, diagnosed her with a common known situation for my particular dog, gave me medicine that worked and was fine. They wouldn't sale me the medicine anymore that I had been getting from them without bringing my dog in. So I did. Then they diagnosed her with the same thing but switched the medicine. New medicine doesn't work. I'm out $250 and now they want to make me bring her back in and take even more of my money . It's like all they care about is the dollar and now my dog is suffering.

I took my fur baby in for a second opinion on dental cleaning and a problem with his foot.My Vet didn't feel comfortable putting him under anesthesia because of his age and heart condition...He recommended that I take him to Flint River because they have more up-to-date equipment then he has...Most of the staff was friendly but,I think they could improve in that department. DR.Lowe was very nice and took time to answer any question that I had.He didn't make me feel rushed at all.I would recommend him if you are looking for a new doctor for your furbaby.
