I don鈥檛 write reviews often. So please excuse the photo of my goofy child. Haven鈥檛 bothered to change it. Prob won鈥檛. 馃 This vet has the most comfortable atmosphere I鈥檝e felt at a vet in a long time. The comfort came from the people there! I appreciate that feeling. Sometimes you can worry you鈥檒l be judged going to the vet, not having a history to show, and an older pet. I did not feel judgment at all. Just concern, and received help. Also understanding on what I could afford. I think I鈥檒l be taking my kitty to be seen here as well..which was a planned visit, but is now on hold as this visit was not. Thank you Five Points Vet!

What truly sets this clinic apart, as highlighted by numerous testimonials, is the profound sense of comfort and understanding it provides to pet owners, particularly those who might feel apprehensive about seeking veterinary services or have complex pet histories. It stands as a testament to truly empathetic veterinary practice in the Greensburg area.
The environment at Five Points Veterinary Norvelt is consistently described as having "the most comfortable atmosphere I鈥檝e felt at a vet in a long time." This comfort, as a reviewer noted, emanates directly "from the people there!" This indicates that while the physical premises are undoubtedly clean and professional, the true essence of the clinic's welcoming environment is forged by its staff. They foster an atmosphere free of judgment, which is a significant relief for pet owners who might worry about their pet's past health records, age, or financial constraints. This non-judgmental stance creates a safe space where concerns are heard with genuine "concern" and "help" is provided. The efficiency of their operations is also a part of this environment, with the ability to secure same-day appointments and immediately schedule emergency surgeries, showcasing a well-organized and responsive system designed to address urgent needs swiftly.
The services offered by Five Points Veterinary Norvelt are comprehensive, reflecting its status as a full-service Pet Hospital capable of handling a wide array of animal health needs. While specific details on every single service are not explicitly mentioned, the reviews provide strong indicators of their capabilities. The clinic clearly offers general veterinary consultations, as evidenced by a visit for an "older pet" and the intention to bring a "kitty to be seen here as well." Their ability to schedule "emergency surgery immediately next morning" highlights their capacity for critical and time-sensitive medical interventions, indicating access to surgical facilities and skilled veterinary surgeons. This implies that they are equipped for various procedures, from routine spays/neuters to more complex emergency operations.
Given the context of a general veterinary practice, it is reasonable to infer that Five Points Veterinary Norvelt provides essential preventative care, including vaccinations, parasite control, and routine health check-ups for dogs and cats. They likely also offer diagnostic services such as blood work, urinalysis, and potentially imaging (X-rays, ultrasound) to accurately diagnose conditions. The "understanding on what I could afford" mentioned by a client suggests that they also offer financial flexibility or discuss various treatment options to fit different budgets, which is a crucial aspect of accessible veterinary care. This holistic approach to services, from routine wellness to emergency interventions, positions them as a reliable and thorough healthcare provider for pets.
The features that truly distinguish Five Points Veterinary Norvelt are deeply rooted in their commitment to patient and client well-being. Firstly, their "informative, compassionate and fast" service delivery stands out. This trifecta is essential for a positive veterinary experience: informative guidance helps owners make educated decisions, compassion ensures animals are treated with kindness, and speed is crucial, especially in urgent situations. The rapid response time, securing a same-day appointment and immediate surgery scheduling, is a remarkable feature for a non-emergency clinic and speaks to their dedication to timely care.
Secondly, the empathetic and non-judgmental approach of their staff is a significant differentiator. For pet owners who may feel vulnerable or judged, this aspect fosters trust and encourages open communication about their pet's health history and needs. This creates a stronger partnership between the veterinary team and the pet owner, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for the animals. Thirdly, the "reasonable price" is a frequently cited advantage. While specific figures are not provided, the consistent mention of affordability indicates that the clinic strives to offer high-quality care without being prohibitive, making it accessible to a broader range of pet owners.
While specific promotional campaigns are not explicitly detailed, the powerful positive feedback from clients serves as the most effective form of promotion for Five Points Veterinary Norvelt. The rave reviews, highlighting the comfortable atmosphere, kind staff, responsiveness, and reasonable prices, create a strong word-of-mouth referral system. For prospective clients, the opportunity to receive emergency care and comprehensive services without feeling judged and at an affordable rate is a compelling value proposition. Mar 23, 2025 路 Lisa HumphreysToday my wife and I had an experience that we would like to share. We called Five Points (New Alexandria) this morning to see if they would be able to see our cat, Teddy. We explained that Ted was shaved at their Norvelt location on Tuesday and also examined where they noticed breathing anomalies. We were told this might be due to allergies so they treated him accordingly. On Wednesday we took him to the New Alexandria location due to heavier breathing following his Tuesday appt. They indicated that he could have asthma or something bronchial due to the untreated allergies but overall a very healthy cat. Today he took a turn for the worse and we asked if they could re-examine since he was there two days this week (X-rays, examined by two doctors, ability to identify changes, etc) and since they were confident that this was something benign. They explained that both locations were booked and could not see him and without any hesitation, referred me to another clinic to be treated. I asked if they could spare 15 minutes to look at him since they conducted thorough tests the other day and I could drop him off like we did to allow the doctor to see him when they had time. They stated there are no appts and they would schedule an appt for next week. I indicated that he does not look good and think he should be seen sooner because this doesn鈥檛 appear to be allergy related. I called back later today and asked if they could email the files and X-rays so we can go to another vet to reduce the costs. I explained to the receptionist my viewpoint of how Five Points handled the situation given that we have been taking our animals to them for years and when we needed them the most, they told us to go somewhere else. The individual did not like the feedback, placed me on hold and proceeded to hang up. They never called back and never sent the files as promised. I never would have expected this from this clinic. They have been extremely good to us over the years and very surprised to see the unprofessionalism that occurred today. We would never expect special treatment but when you have loyal customers, you would think they would make the time to do something else outside of sending you to another clinic knowing how hard it can be to find one/ accept new patients. Hurts me to write this review but I know how much these pets mean to folks and I do not want you to have the same experience when your animal is in need.
