Fifth & Kenny Animal Hospital

The staff and doctors here are the best. We've taken two of our dogs here for years and they are always kind and thorough. We don't even live on this side of town anymore and still drive to it to for our pets appointments!

We have been going to Fifth and Kenny for about 5 years and have had the best experience with Dr. Allen and the staff. Our pitbull has had a few medical problems that have led us to get to know them a bit better. Most recently our dog needed a tooth extracted and a dental cleaning. They took great care of her, updated us right away, and gave very thorough instructions afterwards. I am very comfortable with taking our dogs there because they go above and beyond and seem to genuinely love our girls! Their prices are very reasonable in my opinion and they don’t seem to take advantage. Audra (vet tech) has worked with our girl on many separate occasions and we always have a great experience with her. I can’t say enough good things about this business!

Dr. Allen and Sadie are so compassionate and kind. They are just as compassionate towards me as they are my cats, which is so important to me because my cats are my babies. Dr. Allen is extremely understanding of my cat who needs extra patience. She is clearly very knowledgeable as well. She is always willing to work with me on the approach or plan we make and has only ever exuded kindness and a willingness to hear my perspective. I am very grateful to Dr. Allen and her team at Fifth & Kenny.

I am so glad I brought my dog here! I’ve struggled finding a vet I truly love (I’ve tried out 4 over the years!) and I think I’ve finally found it. There are numerous things this vet does that made me know it was different and better than others -i appreciate that they have you call first to check in. This way there are not numerous dogs in the lobby. When you enter, you go straight to the room -it’s also a very inclusive clinic. Intake paperwork asks your pronouns and there’s an all gender bathroom -the most important thing to me though is the quality of care and compassion shown for animals. They gave my dog an anti inflammatory medication before her vaccines to help with discomfort. They provide treats. The staff and vets clearly love animals -I’m in and out of there FAST! All while getting good care! The best part of our visit was Dr Custer. He has such a friendly demeanor and was very sweet to my dog. I experience a lot of anxiety at vet appointments, but I felt so comfortable and that my dog was cared for it wasn’t stressful Very thankful for the environment created at this vet office

Please Go to fifth and Kenny if you’d like a one way street to a house flea infestation. Our cat went in for surgery and came out with fleas. We called to discuss the matter and in classic fashion they denied denied denied. Had to be us couldn’t possibly be them. I simply mentioned that there were no fleas prior to surgery, and left with fleas. The lady was shocked at this statement. The response was we are not liable, and they would be sending the cats records. I tried to fire my vet but they ended up firing me - lol
