Welcome to Fetch the Vet

Introducing Fetch the Vet, a unique type of Pet Hospital serving the Cologne, Minnesota area and beyond. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar clinics, Fetch the Vet operates as a mobile veterinary service, bringing professional and knowledgeable pet care directly to your home. This innovative approach eliminates the stress of transporting your animals to a clinic, offering a more relaxed and comfortable experience for both you and your pets. Based at PO Box 165 in Cologne, Fetch the Vet, seemingly run by a veterinarian named Jane, focuses on providing quality care within the familiar surroundings of your home.

The "environment" of Fetch the Vet is essentially the comfort of your own home. This is a significant feature in itself, as many pets experience anxiety when visiting a traditional veterinary clinic. By offering house call services, Fetch the Vet minimizes this stress, allowing for a calmer and more cooperative patient. According to the customer reviews, Jane creates a wonderful experience by putting dogs at ease, and all animals seem to love her during these house calls. This suggests a gentle and patient approach that makes veterinary care less intimidating for your pets. The convenience of having a knowledgeable professional come to you also saves time and effort for pet owners.

While the reviews don't list specific services, we can infer the types of care typically offered by a mobile veterinary service like Fetch the Vet:

  • Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups performed in the comfort of your home.
  • Vaccinations: Administering necessary vaccines without the need to travel to a clinic.
  • Minor Medical Issues: Addressing common health concerns that can be assessed and treated at home.
  • Preventative Care: Including parasite control and nutritional advice.
  • End-of-Life Care: Providing compassionate euthanasia in a familiar and peaceful environment, which can be less stressful for both the pet and the family.

It is less common for mobile vets to handle complex surgical procedures or emergencies that require extensive equipment available at a fixed clinic. However, for routine care and certain medical needs, the convenience and reduced stress of a house call can be invaluable. To understand the full scope of services offered by Fetch the Vet, direct inquiry is recommended.

The standout feature of Fetch the Vet, as highlighted by the customer feedback, is the exceptional service provided by Jane. She is described as professional, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, adept at making animals feel at ease. The fact that "all our animals loved her" during a house call speaks volumes about her demeanor and ability to connect with pets. This personalized and gentle approach is a significant advantage of a mobile veterinary service. The convenience of a house call combined with a vet who is skilled at creating a positive experience for pets makes Fetch the Vet a highly recommended option for pet owners in the Cologne area.

The repeated positive experiences in the reviews ("Absolutely wonderful experience with Jane" appears twice) underscore the consistency and quality of care provided by Fetch the Vet. The strong recommendation to utilize her services in the future further attests to the satisfaction of pet owners who have used her mobile veterinary care.

We asked Jane to assist with our litter; giving them their vaccines, microchips, and a check-up. Jane was disorganized, chaotic, unprepared and unable to complete the tasks. The main reason we had Jane come to our home was to keep our puppies away from the veterinary clinic environment, limiting exposure to germs and the like. While performing the ear checks, Jane on multiple occasions would push the otoscope so far into the ear cancal that every puppy would yelp. This is highly abnormal and uncalled for. Furthermore, when injecting one of the puppies with the microchip needle, she accidentally poked herself, causing blood to run down her hand. Shockingly, she proceeded to inject the puppy with the compromised needle. After doing so the puppy yelped for 15 second as she tried to hold down the puppy to inject the needle. At this point I escorted her out of our home. Professionals that deal with human blood are to be cautious and remove any chance of contact with another. Jane should have excused herself and tended to her puncture before proceeding. Many doctors require a consent to HIV testing if they come into contact with a patient's blood. I have been present for these type of exams dozens upon dozens of times and never experienced such carelessness and lack of technique. Jane appeared to be either not trained in these procedures or lacked any sense of humanity. I pride myself and my business as being a loving, gentle, caring human experience for my puppies. We take extra precaution not to traumatize them in their early, most formative months of life. This was an unprofessional, shocking and upsetting experience.

Jane is so thorough with her assessments and it's obvious she really cares about all her patients. My blue heeler had an unidentifiable infection and Jane worked with me to make sure that we got her back on her feet. So grateful for her dedication and passion. Truly lifesaving 馃挄
