Dr Farmer is the best vet I have ever taken my pets to. He is sympathetic and understands treatment is expensive and will work with you to get the best care possible that is cost effective. Never a salesman, always has the best interest of your loved one. My dog had parvo and he is honest about prognosis and treatment options with itemized plan of care. I will never take my pets to another clinic.

The "environment" at Animal Medical Center of Austin, where Dr. Gregg Farmer practices, is designed to be welcoming and reassuring for both pets and their owners. While specific architectural details are not explicitly provided, a "full-service animal hospital" typically features clean, well-equipped examination rooms, a surgical suite with modern monitoring equipment, and dedicated areas for diagnostics like X-rays and in-house laboratory testing. The emphasis on "smiling faces" and a "friendly team" at the greeting suggests a warm and inviting front office environment. The clinic aims to foster a familial atmosphere, where "pets can get to know and trust their vet and form a lasting relationship with our team." This focus on building long-term relationships contributes to a stable and comfortable environment for pets who may experience anxiety during vet visits. The clinic also aims to change perceptions of low-cost veterinary care, implying that while services are affordable, the environment and quality of care remain high, avoiding a sterile or impersonal feel often associated with budget-friendly options.

Dr. Gregg Farmer, as part of the Animal Medical Center of Austin, offers a comprehensive range of "services" to meet the diverse needs of pet owners. Key among these are **preventative care** services, including vaccinations (for common dog and cat diseases like rabies, parvo, distemper, feline leukemia, etc.), routine wellness check-ups, and blood work, which are crucial for early disease detection and prevention. The clinic also provides **diagnostic services**, utilizing technology such as ultrasound to visualize internal organs and diagnose problems that might otherwise be undetectable. **Surgical services** are a core offering, including routine procedures like spaying and neutering, as well as general surgery for various medical conditions. **Dental care** is also provided to maintain oral health and prevent infections. The reviews highlight their expertise in handling critical cases, such as a dog with parvo, demonstrating their ability to provide **intensive medical treatment** and manage severe illnesses. Furthermore, the clinic is praised for its **end-of-life care**, exemplified by the thoughtful gesture of a paw print and personalized memorial after a pet's passing. This holistic approach to services, from preventative to critical and compassionate end-of-life care, addresses the full spectrum of a pet's life.

The standout "features" of Dr. Gregg Farmer and Animal Medical Center of Austin are consistently lauded by their clientele. A paramount feature is Dr. Farmer's **sympathetic and empathetic approach**, understanding that "treatment is expensive" and working with clients to provide "the best care possible that is cost effective." His honesty about "prognosis and treatment options with itemized plan of care" further builds trust and empowers pet owners to make informed decisions. This focus on value and affordability without compromising quality is a defining characteristic. The clinic's staff exhibits "great customer service skills" and a "deep, compassionate understanding of all of your furry children's needs," ensuring that even nervous pets feel "comfortable and safe." The profoundly touching gesture of receiving a "pink ceramic shaped heart with Sarah's paw prints in black" weeks after a pet's euthanasia demonstrates an extraordinary level of **compassionate end-of-life support and attention to detail**, leaving a lasting positive impression during a time of grief. The long-term loyalty of clients, with some entrusting multiple pets over many years, speaks volumes about the consistent quality, trustworthiness, and caring nature of Dr. Farmer and his team.

Dr.Farmer was the Veterinarian for my previous Sarah a shelter dog for her 13 years of life. When she got bladder cancer all I can say is I hope as a human being I would be treated as well. When we had to put her to sleep I was surprised when a few weeks later I received a pink ceramic shaped heart with Sarah's paw prints in black. We now have another shelter dog, Stella and Dr. Farmer takes care of her. Dr.Farmer and his wife are the best Veterinarians you can find. Their staff has great customer service skills. You and your pet will be pleased with the services.
