I’ve brought pets here a few times before, but this visit made me really mad! If you need dental work done or a consult regarding if dental work needs to be done do not waste your time or money because they do NOT do dental work! When I called to make the appointment I specifically stated the reason for my visit was to have her teeth checked and see if my cat needs extractions or if there is any dental work that needs to be done. They scheduled the appointment and said nothing about the fact that they do not provide dental services. The emergency clinic from Apple Valley faxed them the report from her visit there, and stated everything they had found and their concern for her teeth! When I got to my appointment I said I was there to have her teeth checked to see if she needs any extractions or dental work. They said nothing again and let me go through with the checkup. They only then told me that they don’t do dental work once she had her teeth looked at by the doctor. All they did was tell me I need to go somewhere else and confirmed what the other clinics findings were regarding her injuries. Then gave me a list of places that do dental work. The clinic I usually take my animals to does do dental work but it is about half hour away. My cat doesn’t love car rides and Faribault Vet Clinic is right around the corner from my house. I went there for convenience thought it may be less stress on my cat. They had numerous opportunities to tell me they don’t provide the services I was looking for and did not tell me. They then charged me $78.00. I now need to make another appointment elsewhere to have her teeth checked and then I assume what will be another appointment after that to have actual dental work done. What a waste of my time and a office charge!!!

Faribault Veterinary Clinic Introduce

Welcome to the online introduction of Faribault Veterinary Clinic, a dedicated pet hospital located at 2200 Lyndale Ave N, Faribault, MN 55021, USA. Serving the local community, Faribault Veterinary Clinic aims to be a trusted partner in ensuring the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions. As a local "Pet Hospital," we understand the importance of accessible and comprehensive care for your pets, offering a range of services to meet their diverse needs.

While specific details about the clinic's environment are not explicitly available online, a typical veterinary clinic setting prioritizes cleanliness, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their owners. You can generally expect a reception area where pet owners can check in and wait comfortably, examination rooms where veterinarians conduct consultations and examinations, and potentially separate areas for different types of animals to minimize stress. Depending on the scope of services offered, the clinic may also include surgical suites, diagnostic imaging areas (such as X-ray and ultrasound), a laboratory for in-house testing, and recovery wards for animals undergoing procedures or treatment. We encourage you to contact Faribault Veterinary Clinic directly at (507) 334-2068 or +1 507-334-2068 to inquire about their specific facilities and environment.

Based on the limited information available, Faribault Veterinary Clinic offers a range of veterinary services. One customer review mentions bringing pets for various services, indicating a general practice offering. Another review specifically highlights the successful and quick nail trimming service for a large and potentially uncooperative dog, suggesting that the clinic's staff is experienced in handling animals with different temperaments and needs. The mention of a "checkup" also implies that the clinic provides routine wellness examinations, which are crucial for preventative care and early detection of health issues.

However, it is critical to note a significant piece of negative feedback regarding dental services. One reviewer explicitly states that Faribault Veterinary Clinic does *not* perform dental work, including teeth extractions or comprehensive dental procedures. This customer expressed frustration at not being informed about this limitation when scheduling an appointment specifically for a dental evaluation. While the clinic did provide a list of alternative facilities offering dental care, this experience highlights a potential gap in their service offerings and communication regarding their capabilities. Therefore, if your pet requires dental work, it is essential to confirm with Faribault Veterinary Clinic beforehand whether they can meet your specific needs or if a referral to another clinic will be necessary.

Despite the negative feedback concerning dental services, the positive review regarding nail trimming suggests a key feature of the clinic: their ability to handle animals effectively and safely, even those that may be resistant to certain procedures. The reviewer with the Cane Corso Italian mastiff praised the speed and safety with which their dog's nails were trimmed, and was also "pleasantly surprised" with the overall bill for other services, hinting at potentially reasonable pricing. This suggests that for certain routine procedures and general care, Faribault Veterinary Clinic may offer a positive experience.

Considering the available information, the features of Faribault Veterinary Clinic appear to include:

  • General veterinary practice offering a range of services.
  • Experienced staff capable of handling animals with varying temperaments.
  • Efficient and safe execution of routine procedures like nail trimming.
  • Potentially reasonable pricing for certain services.
  • Convenient location for residents of Faribault and surrounding areas.

However, it is equally important to acknowledge the identified limitation:

  • Does *not* offer dental work (as of the date of the review).
  • Potential issues with communication regarding service limitations.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available online for Faribault Veterinary Clinic. It is common for veterinary clinics to offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal promotions for specific services (like vaccinations or flea and tick prevention), or package deals for routine wellness care. To learn about any current promotions or special offers, it is best to contact the clinic directly via phone or visit their physical location.

In conclusion, Faribault Veterinary Clinic serves as a local pet hospital in Faribault, Minnesota, offering a range of general veterinary services. While they appear to excel in areas like routine care and handling potentially challenging animals, it is crucial for pet owners to be aware of their limitations, particularly regarding dental services. Direct communication with the clinic is recommended to confirm their ability to meet your pet's specific needs and to inquire about their environment, full range of services, and any ongoing promotions. As with any veterinary care provider, it is advisable to consider multiple factors, including the specific needs of your pet, the clinic's expertise in those areas, and your comfort level with their communication and approach to care.

I have a cane Corso Italian mastiff. At 140lbs although very sweet he doesn't like his nails clipped. He wouldn't behave with me in the room so they took him out and was done very quickly and safe. Also had other services and was pleasantly surprised with my bill! I would highly recommend them !

I’ve never written a bad review about a place before. But this vet office, has me baffled. I’ve taken my dog there a few times because the breeder I got my dog from, recommended them (they just switched vets recently as well). Every experience I’ve had has been terrible. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but they proved me right time and time again. This last appointment, I brought my puppy in for what I thought was a urinary tract infection. Instead of focusing on that, they decided to shave the fur off her butt and perform an Anal Glad Expression without asking me first. Not only did the assistant helping them comment on how much it smelled and how someone needed to “clean that up” but also commented on my dogs weight saying “yeah if she gains anymore weight I won’t be able to see her hips anymore”… a sarcastic and rude comment about my very happy and healthy puppy and was telling me how “dramatic” my dog was being.. the same dog who has been in pain and irritated from this infection that they poked at for 10 minutes straight. This appointment was 2 days ago and ever since then, my puppy has been laying in her kennel curled up into a bawl in pain and having terrible diarrhea. After looking into it, apparently if an Anal Expression is done to forcefully or incorrectly it can create severe pain in their bowel and trigger a response of diarrhea with your dog. My poor puppy who is normally very hyper and constantly wants to play is now having accidents in her kennel and laying around during the day. I’m beyond frustrated and angry with this office and will never be bringing my dog back. They have no empathy, no professionalism, and absolutely no sympathy for a hurting dog.

Came based off of the good reviews and I have never written a one star review before but my experience here was incredibly unprofessional and expensive. Almost $700 for a cat spay, never met the vet and got charged all of these hidden fees. My mom owns a veterinary clinic in Oregon so I do have a reference of how much these things should cost. When booking an appointment there was not followup reminder call or email for when the appointment should be. I asked to be there 30 min before opening for drop off as I have class as a college student at 8am. They assured me over the phone that would be possible and no one was even in the building before 8:03. Just incredibly unprofessional. PLEASE GO ANYWHERE else.

Denied service for 2 sick cats after they fixed them earlier in week. Had to go somewhere else.
