We boarded our dog at the end of June while we were out of town instead of having her go to our regular boarding facility because she was having some issues with her leg and we wanted her to have a close eye on her. When we picked her up, my husband brought her back in because her eye was covered in gunk. We were given some medication for her eye. When we brought her home, it was clear she was struggling to breathe. I took her to the emergency vet the same day she returned from Falls Village Vet. She ended up spending two nights at the emergency vet on oxygen and was prescribed multiple medications. It was unclear when I brought her in in to the emergency vet if she would have to be put down. Thankfully, she survived. I sent the summary of treatment with an email to Falls Village Vet. No one acknowledged the email. I did receive a call to determine whether I wanted to move my pets' records when I moved vet practices. I did let the practice manager know why I was moving practices, but it still did not seem to register that my dog had gotten so ill during their care of her. Generally, we had had a good experience with this vet, so was really surprised no one tried to make this right or even acknowledge that she had somehow slipped through the cracks to have gotten so sick during her boarding. She was also receiving laser therapy while being boarded so it wasn't as if she wasn't being seen by someone with some level of medical training. I understand mistakes happen, but was really disappointed by the lack of accountability from this practice.

Falls Village Veterinary Hospital Introduce

Welcome, local pet owners, to an in-depth look at Falls Village Veterinary Hospital, a dedicated pet care facility located at 7005 Harps Mill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615, USA. As a comprehensive "Pet Hospital," Falls Village Veterinary Hospital strives to be a trusted partner in ensuring the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions. This introduction aims to provide you with a detailed overview of their environment, services, key features, and insights gleaned from real customer experiences available online.

Falls Village Veterinary Hospital operates as a full-service veterinary facility, offering a wide array of medical and supportive services for pets. Their core function is to provide professional veterinary care, addressing various health needs from routine check-ups and vaccinations to the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries. As a "Pet Hospital," they are equipped to handle both preventative care and more complex medical situations.

Beyond general veterinary services, Falls Village Veterinary Hospital extends its offerings to include an on-site pharmacy. This feature provides convenience for pet owners, allowing them to obtain prescribed medications directly after their pet's appointment. Having an in-house pharmacy ensures that pet owners can readily access the necessary medications, streamlining the treatment process and enabling prompt initiation of care. This is a significant advantage as it saves time and effort that would otherwise be spent visiting a separate pharmacy.

In addition to medical services and the pharmacy, Falls Village Veterinary Hospital also provides pet boarding facilities. This service caters to pet owners who need a safe and supervised environment for their animals while they are away. The boarding service is particularly beneficial for pets who may require medical attention or close monitoring, as veterinary staff are readily available. This integration of boarding within a veterinary hospital setting offers an added layer of security and care for pets with specific health needs or those recovering from medical procedures.

One of the specialized services mentioned in customer reviews is laser therapy. This therapeutic modality utilizes focused light to stimulate healing, reduce pain and inflammation, and promote tissue regeneration. The availability of laser therapy indicates that Falls Village Veterinary Hospital is committed to offering advanced treatment options for various conditions, potentially including arthritis, post-surgical pain, and wound healing. This feature highlights their investment in modern veterinary practices to enhance patient comfort and recovery.

Based on online reviews, the environment and atmosphere of Falls Village Veterinary Hospital appear to be a point of both positive and negative experiences. One reviewer praised the hospital as "one of the best veterinary hospitals I've ever been to," highlighting the kindness and compassion of the staff. They emphasized the staff's dedication to treating animals as if they were their own, their extensive knowledge, and their friendly demeanor. This positive feedback suggests a welcoming and caring environment that fosters trust between the veterinary team and pet owners.

However, another review presents a contrasting experience regarding the level of attentiveness and accountability. This customer reported a concerning incident where their dog became significantly ill while being boarded at the facility. Despite the dog requiring emergency veterinary care and subsequent treatment, the reviewer expressed disappointment in the lack of acknowledgment or follow-up from the hospital regarding the incident. This feedback raises concerns about communication and the handling of critical situations. While the reviewer mentioned prior positive experiences, this particular incident left them feeling that their pet's serious health decline "slipped through the cracks," indicating a potential lapse in oversight or communication protocols in this specific instance.

It is important for prospective clients to consider both the positive and negative feedback when evaluating Falls Village Veterinary Hospital. The positive review underscores the potential for compassionate care and a positive client-staff relationship. The negative review serves as a reminder that, like any service provider, inconsistencies can occur, and it highlights the importance of clear communication and accountability in veterinary care, especially when dealing with vulnerable patients.

In summary, Falls Village Veterinary Hospital, operating within the "Pet Hospital" category, offers a comprehensive suite of services for local pet owners in Raleigh, NC. These services include general veterinary care, an on-site pharmacy for convenient medication dispensing, pet boarding facilities with potential for close medical monitoring, and advanced treatments like laser therapy. The hospital aims to provide a caring and knowledgeable environment for pets. However, it is crucial for potential clients to be aware of the varying customer experiences, particularly regarding communication and the handling of critical health situations, as reflected in online reviews. While many have experienced positive and compassionate care, the reported lack of accountability in one instance warrants consideration.

Falls is one of the best veterinary hospitals I've ever been to in my 34 years. I trust them implicitly with my dogs. The staff are so kind and compassionate, and go above and beyond for their clients. I lost my soul dog last Thursday, and despite how terrible the circumstances of that were, I could not have asked for a smoother experience. They care for your animals as if they are their own, are incredibly knowledgeable, and friendly.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I wanted to applaud the staff for taking care of my fur baby at closing hours for an emergency! Dr. Chessie and her staff stayed after hours to exam and treat my girl (Lila). Dr. Chessie was great with both myself and Lila! Thank you again!

These guys are the best!! We have been using them for over 20 years and they have been top notch from day 1. We are on our second pair of dogs and cats with them, and they have taken great care of every one of them. I could share so many stories of how they went above and beyond, but my review would turn into a book. Let me just say, I highly recommend and so do my fur babies.

Falls Village is absolutely the best veterinary hospital and boarder around! They took care of our fur baby, Joxer, for 8.5 years, and during those many appointments with Doctors Green, Fox, Brink, Sherrod, and many others, it was clear they see the pets in their care as an extension of their own families. Our boy left for the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, and we will be forever grateful to Doctor Brink for helping us ensure he passed peacefully and with dignity.
