Oct 10, 2024 · Logan AeonHalf of our experience was lovely, and the other half was terrible. I brought my cat into the establishment because he seemed unwell over the past two days. Upon arrival, the lady behind the counter - who checked us in- was very nice. He was then brought back by one of the staff, to do some preliminary test work. When she came back, she told us that he most likely had pancreatitis (thankfully he did not!) - this was not presented as “the worst case scenario” or “he might” it was “he most likely has this, and you're glad you got in here in time.” (It was not until a little while later WITH OUR OWN GOOGLING, that we figured out this was the worst case scenario. After a few tests were done, we were told he would need fluids and the doctor proceeded to leave the room. We were given ZERO information (if she would be back, if we had to leave, if a vet tech would be administrating the fluids, does he need and IV… NOTHING.) We were then told he would need the IV, and were left for another period of waiting. During this period of waiting my cat threw up blood. Immediately my mother rushed out of the room to find someone, she found ZERO staff. (Not great for emergencies) - she then found the lady at the front desk and told her our cat threw up BLOOD…and the staff would not have been LESS helpful. She said the lady poked her head in to a room and said “cats mom says he threw up and its pink). We were then left in our room for THIRTY MINUTES ALONE. They let my sick cat sit in his own vomit and blood for thirty minutes.!!!! It wasn’t until my mother stepped out AGAIN she bumped into another vet tech (I believe named Crystal) - who was very sweet, and unfortunately just the messenger, who relayed to us information that not only did they know we were waiting, know he’d thrown up blood, hadn’t come to see him and decided that he was okay. How can you possibly diagnose him without seeing him. Still no one came to clean it up. It wasn't until a random vet tech named Darnell (who is the only reason this review has 3 stars and not 0) stopped by our window. He was by far, the sweetest human being and could not have been more professional or kind. He explained he knew nothing of what was going on, and was currently in the middle of something else, but wanted to jump in. He was very calm, listened to all of our angers, saw the blood immediately, cleaned it up and said that he was going to take it to the vet because “its really red”. (Which makes me nervous, had he not come in, and the rest of the vets gone off their assumption of his blood/throw up without seeing it - would my cat have gotten the proper care?!) He also explained that our vet was also unable to come and see us again because she was in the middle of a dental exam. & while I do not expect my cat to be her only client that day - she never expressed a “goodbye” or that she would be passing her work onto any other members of staff - we had ZERO clue wed been left by her. (Which I find incredibly unprofessional). Upon his return, he and Crystal said they were going to take a look at him, because once again it was “really red” (which seemed to surprise them). In the end, my cat was given the proper meds (hopefully) and fluids. We’ve been told to monitor him for 72 hours so hopefully this prescription works. However, Crystal and Darnell were the only two good things about our visit. They definitely deserve more thank yous than we can give. The rest of the experience in my opinion was awful. How do you give someone an uncertain worst case scenario diagnosis and not present it as such?, leave your patients with zero information in waiting rooms for 30+ minutes, leave an animal sitting in its blood and vomit, make a diagnosis about said blood and vomit without checking on him, and then seem surprised its worse than what you BLINDLY ASSUMED. I try hope my cat has been given the right diagnosis and medicine, and I hope that any pet in need accompanied by a crying nervous pet owner meets Darnell and Crystal - because they are very good at their jibs as well as good people.
Feb 03, 2025 · Katherine TusaI just came back from my first visit. The receptionist, vet tech, and vet were all very patient with me and my nervous pup. They carefully reviewed her records, took their time in working with her, and by the time she left she seemed calmer than when we had arrived. The vet we spoke to took their time to answer questions and make recommendations. I'm happy to find a doctor for my pup that is just as good as my personal doctor.
Feb 12, 2025 · David SchmidtWe had a potential toxicity emergency with our two dogs. I drove them to Falls Rd. Early in the morning and they were fast, caring, and reasonably priced. Dr Bloom and the vet techs diagnosed and solved the issue, informing me every step of the way. Jaden at the front desk was informative and helpful. I recommend!
