Welcome to Fales, Mary DVM

Dr. Mary Fales DVM, operating from her clinic at 319 East Ave, Falconer, NY 14733, USA, functions as a dedicated "Pet Hospital" providing essential veterinary care to the local community. The practice is centered around the expertise and compassionate approach of Dr. Mary Fales, offering a range of services and goods aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of companion animals. The clinic strives to provide accessible, timely, and kind care, making it a reliable resource for pet owners in Falconer and its surrounding areas.

Environment and Facilities

While explicit details about the physical environment and interior design of Dr. Mary Fales' clinic are not extensively available, the nature of a "Pet Hospital" and the services mentioned in reviews imply a functional and professional setting. Key elements of their environment and operational approach can be inferred:

  • Clinical Setting: As a veterinary practice performing procedures like dental work, the clinic would possess standard examination rooms, a reception area, and potentially areas for minor procedures or recovery.
  • Efficiency-Oriented: The ability to get appointments "quick to get in, usually within a week" suggests an efficient scheduling system and an environment that supports a relatively fast turnover of appointments. This contrasts with larger, often overbooked, veterinary facilities.
  • In-House Pharmacy: The feature of having "the meds there" for immediate dispensing indicates the presence of an on-site pharmacy. This significantly enhances convenience for pet owners, allowing them to go home with necessary medications without an extra trip to an external pharmacy. This also implies organized storage and dispensing areas within the clinic.
  • Comfort for Pets: The observation that "Dr Mary is always so kind to my dog" suggests that the environment and staff interactions are designed to be calming and positive for animal patients, minimizing stress during visits.

The practical aspects mentioned by customers, such as performing dental work and having medications readily available, point to a well-organized and equipped operational space, even if its aesthetic details are not widely highlighted. The focus appears to be on delivering effective care efficiently.

Services Offered

Dr. Mary Fales DVM provides a range of essential veterinary services focused on preventive care, diagnostics, and common medical procedures for pets. Based on customer testimonials, the core services include:

  • Dental Care: A key service explicitly mentioned, with a client reporting a "perfect" experience after their senior kitty had a dental procedure done. This suggests comprehensive dental services, likely including cleanings, extractions, and assessments of oral health.
  • General Wellness Exams: Regular check-ups are implied by the continuous care of a senior cat and a dog, where health assessments are performed. This forms the basis for maintaining overall pet health.
  • Vaccinations: While not directly stated, wellness exams typically include discussions about and administration of necessary immunizations to protect pets from common diseases.
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Ailments: The fact that a dog is brought in for care and receives medication indicates that Dr. Fales diagnoses and treats various pet health issues.
  • Medication Dispensing: The availability of "the meds there" for immediate pickup post-appointment is a notable service, offering convenience and ensuring timely commencement of treatment.

As a general "Pet Hospital," it is reasonable to infer that other common veterinary services are also offered, such as parasite prevention, microchipping, basic laboratory tests (though not explicitly detailed, usually accompanies diagnostics), and potentially advice on nutrition and behavior. However, the provided information does not confirm more complex services like advanced surgery or extensive diagnostic imaging beyond what can be done in a general practice setting.

Features and Approach

The defining features and approach of Dr. Mary Fales DVM's practice are consistently highlighted in the customer reviews, focusing on kindness, efficiency, and convenience:

  • Compassionate and Kind Approach: Dr. Mary is consistently praised for being "always so kind to my dog." This empathetic approach is crucial for building trust with both pets and their owners, especially for nervous animals. The "perfect" experience with a senior kitty's dental procedure also suggests a gentle and caring handling of sensitive cases.
  • Efficient Appointment Scheduling: A significant advantage is the ability to get appointments "quick to get in, usually within a week." This is a highly valued feature for pet owners who often face long wait times at other clinics, ensuring timely care for their pets.
  • Convenient In-House Pharmacy: The availability of medications directly at the clinic after the appointment is a major convenience. This saves pet owners an extra trip to a pharmacy and ensures immediate access to prescribed treatments. This reflects a practical and client-friendly operational model.
  • Personalized Care: The long-term care of a senior cat and the positive experience with a dog suggest a focus on building ongoing relationships with clients and their pets, offering consistent and personalized medical attention.
  • Accessibility despite Phone Challenges: While one review mentions the phone often being "busy," the ability to "get through after a few tries" suggests persistence is rewarded and appointments can be made. This indicates a high volume of calls, possibly due to the popularity and efficiency of the clinic.

Always quick to get in, usually within a week. Dr Mary is always so kind to my dog. Most of the time they have the meds there and I can go home with meds. Only once did we have to call a script into the pharmacy because they didn’t have it. The phone usually rings busy but after a few tries I can get through.

Dr. Mary Fales has a fantastic, compassionate and fairly priced veterinary practice. I only paid $650 for a C-section on my miniature dachshund who had 7 puppies. Most vets would charge you just to walk in the door, for an office call and are much more expensive as I said.

A short expected wait, but Dr Mary and her staff are friendly and professional. They treat pets as their own and don't rush: they answer any questions make you feel valued as a customer. Very reasonable rates. We've used this clinic for over 40 years.
