Warning: They do not care about their customers. They only care about their own reputation and want 5 stars but do NOT care about how their customers feel. Seriously, read my review and you will understand why I am so upset. --------------- If you come here be prepared to be treated badly for making ANY comment whatsoever about the wait times. If you mention that you waited for 3 hours in their waiting area past your appointment be prepared to be kicked out. I'm appalled at their behavior. My mom has been coming here for more than a decade with her pets, and she's elderly and always arrives early with her pets. She's always been dedicated to this vet too and now this! I'll tell you what they did, they asked her to write a review of their office and this was while she was waiting in the waiting room. She got there 30 minutes early for her appointment and they made her wait for over 3 hours. You do not do that to your customers! They were busy but that is no excuse. Then they asked her to write a review and so she said fine, and she wrote a little review for them and said that she wishes they were a little faster and maybe they should hire some more staff. For that this vet's admin assistant told her that she's not to ever come back again due to leaving a bad review. Screw this place. Go somewhere better, where their customers feelings actually matter! Obviously, they don't care, especially for their elderly customers. In what world do you believe you can "fire" someone from ever coming back into your business just because they were honest about your customer service? In fact, when she wrote the little review she never said anything bad. She was just being honest. "Long wait times, maybe hire more staff." And for that she was told never to return? I guess they saw that as a "bad" review? Well, that's why I'm here to give them the "What for" That they deserve. You DO NOT treat an sweet, elderly woman like that and then expect that no one will notice or care. I care. If you're an older person, with a pet, avoid this place. That's my two cents. To the business: I'll be sure to tell everyone how you treated her. She may be sweet and kind and tactful in her comments about your business but I surely will not. I am a customer service oriented person, I was trained in that and your actions are disgusting to me. And, I will never recommend ANYONE to come to your business. EVER.

Welcome to Fahmy F N DVM

Fahmy F N DVM, operating as Marina Animal Hospital, is a veterinary medical facility situated at 3611 W 5th St ste h, Oxnard, CA 93030, USA. The hospital can be reached via phone at (805) 985-6700, with the same number serving as a mobile contact. As a "Pet Hospital" within the local community, Marina Animal Hospital aims to provide veterinary services for a range of pet needs, including general care, surgery, and dentistry. Dr. Fahmy Fahmy, DVM, serves as the Chief of Staff, having practiced in Oxnard since 1995.

Environment: A Modern Facility with Mixed Perceptions

Marina Animal Hospital is described as being located in a beautiful area of Oxnard, approximately one and a half miles from the ocean. The facility is equipped with "advanced equipment and a state-of-the-art computer system," suggesting a modern and technologically capable environment for veterinary diagnostics and treatment. The hospital aims to create a comfortable and professional setting for pets and their owners. However, customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on the environment, particularly concerning the waiting experience. While the physical space might be well-equipped, some clients have reported excessively long wait times, which can contribute to a stressful environment for both pets and their owners. The stated office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Saturdays and Sundays being closed. This consistent weekday availability offers a degree of predictability for appointments.

Services: Comprehensive Veterinary Care

Marina Animal Hospital provides a comprehensive suite of veterinary services, aiming to cover various aspects of pet health. These services include:

  • General Medicine: This encompasses routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, preventative care, and management of common pet ailments. The focus is on maintaining overall health and preventing diseases through regular check-ups and appropriate interventions.
  • Surgical Procedures: The hospital is equipped to perform various surgical operations. While specific types of surgeries are not detailed in general information, "surgery" indicates capabilities for both routine procedures (like spaying and neutering) and potentially more complex interventions as needed.
  • Dentistry: Dental health is crucial for a pet's overall well-being. Marina Animal Hospital offers dental services, likely including cleanings, extractions, and addressing other oral health issues to prevent systemic problems.
  • Diagnostics: With advanced equipment, the hospital is capable of performing various diagnostic tests to accurately identify and understand pet health conditions. This typically includes blood work, urinalysis, and potentially imaging services.
  • Pharmacy: The hospital likely maintains an on-site pharmacy for the convenience of dispensing necessary medications for treated conditions or ongoing care.

The hospital's commitment is to provide "quality, compassionate" care, suggesting a focus on both medical excellence and empathetic treatment of animals.

Features: Experience and Staff Commitment, with Noteworthy Customer Feedback

A key feature of Marina Animal Hospital is the long-standing presence of Dr. Fahmy Fahmy, DVM, who has been practicing in Oxnard since 1995. This longevity suggests a depth of experience and familiarity with the local pet community. The hospital emphasizes that its staff is "compassionate, knowledgeable, well trained, and friendly," aiming to provide excellent service. They express understanding that pets are important family members and deserve the best veterinary care.

However, customer feedback presents a critical counterpoint to these stated features. While some reviews commend the staff as "very nice" and Dr. Fahmy as a "wonderful vet," a significant concern revolves around customer service, particularly regarding wait times and the handling of negative feedback. One detailed review highlights a severe issue where an elderly client, after waiting over three hours beyond her appointment time and providing a constructive, honest review about the long waits and suggesting more staff, was allegedly told by an "admin assistant" that she was "not to ever come back again due to leaving a bad review." This incident, if accurate, points to a potential disconnect between the hospital's stated commitment to customer care and actual client experience. It raises questions about how the hospital values customer feedback and handles perceived criticism, especially from long-term and elderly clients. This suggests that while the medical care provided might be competent, the customer service experience, particularly in managing expectations and responding to grievances, may not always align with industry best practices for client retention and satisfaction.

Promotional Information: Focus on Core Services

Information regarding specific promotional offers or discounts from Fahmy F N DVM / Marina Animal Hospital is not readily available in the provided data. The primary promotional message appears to be centered on the quality of their comprehensive veterinary services, highlighting their capabilities in medicine, surgery, and dentistry, along with their commitment to quality and compassionate care. Prospective clients are encouraged to call to schedule appointments, indicating that the hospital operates primarily on an appointment basis, even if wait times can be substantial. Any specific promotions, such as vaccine clinic discounts or seasonal offers, would typically be communicated directly by the hospital or on their official website, which prospective clients should verify for the most current information.

In summary, Fahmy F N DVM, known as Marina Animal Hospital, presents itself as a full-service veterinary facility in Oxnard, CA, with experienced staff and modern equipment dedicated to pet health. While some clients praise the medical care and friendliness of the staff, there are notable concerns regarding customer service, particularly in relation to wait times and the management of critical feedback. Prospective clients considering Marina Animal Hospital should weigh these varied customer experiences alongside the advertised services and facilities.
