Eye Care for Animals - Annapolis Defense Hwy

On the evening of June 5th, 2024 our sweet English Bulldog, Peyton Rae suffered an eye injury. We had her at our Veterinarian at 7am the next morning and after a pretty in depth examination by 2 Drs her injury was deemed minor. We were given a prescription eye ointment and told to return for a recheck in 5 days. Her recheck visit did not go as we had expected. Her minor eye injury had developed into a catastrophic corneal rupture. We were advised to have her eye removed. That didn’t work for us. We decided on the spot that we needed a second opinion from an eye specialist. We rushed our girl to Eye Care for Animals in Cockeysville where she was evaluated by Dr. Anthony Lisankis and virtually by Dr. Rachel Lisankis (who was days away from delivering their 3rd child). We were told that they would do everything possible to save her eye. She was prescribed multiple eye drops and ointments to be given every 4 hours, around the clock, oral antibiotics and steroids. He saw her again 4 days later and there was marked improvement but she still had a long road of treatment ahead of her. After several visits and 11 different prescriptions our girl not only has her eye but she has vision and pupillary reflex! I don’t have enough words to express the gratitude we have for Dr.s Anthony and Rachel Lisankis and their staff. Their dedication to Peyton’s care was incredible.

Want your money and cannot honor request to include the in notes that the client is paying. And nasty vet tech when at my 1st. After $4600 in fees still charge during follow up session and explain I want to ensure here sight is saved after surgery. Just horrible customer service experience and huge business at end of day. !! I’m so disgusted and would never return!

I was very pleased with my visit. My dog was examined throughly and a treatment plan was developed. Although I heard news that was concerning, I knew the next steps I needed to take.

Dr. Anthony Lisankis and team did amazing job on our 15 years old maltese cataracts surgery. He was able get us in within couple of weeks. My little boy was able to see right after the surgery. Everyone in the office is very helpful and amazing. I would like say special thank to Erica who held our baby after surgery so he does not have to stay in the cage. Also, thank you Carly for dealing with diffcult little dog. He is recovering now, and cant wait to run around without his cone collar :).

Paws down the best place for all eye concerns! The staff was amazing. Our treating specialist saved our baby unessaccary meds and trial and errors. She made the compassionate call to remove the eye and we are so thankful for that. She was honest and upfront about everything. The whole exam was easy and both our vet and her assistant tech did such a good job with our baby. They were calm. They were sympathetic and super understanding. They gave us an instant referral and we are so thankful they took such good care of our little girl. She's in the recovery stage now and so much better! Thank you guys! I highly recommend this practice! The doctors, the medical team, and the administrative staff are stellar!!! They are very effective, kind, patient, attentive, organized, and do excellent work! Dr. Anthony Lisankis performed an amazing graft on my dog’s eye, and now my dog can see, run, and play again! I am so grateful we could get this surgery for our sweet dog! The facility is clean and dog friendly both indoors and outdoors. It’s very convenient for transporting pets that there’s close, free parking right by the ground level entrance.
