Fantastic vet office - I have always had a great experience from the moment I walk in the door through to follow up care. I have four rabbits with varying medical needs, and one in specific with a very strange and difficult to figure out chronic issue. Dr Labrecque has been incredibly dedicated and put a lot of time and effort, including reviewing research and calling other offices, to try to provide the best care for him and get to the root cause. The vets have always been clear, transparent, and patient - every appointment, they have sat down to show me all x rays and test results, explained everything they see and how they have come to their conclusions, and answered all of my questions. I have never felt they were impatient or annoyed and have always been treated with a lot of respect and given the chance to ask and talk about as much as I need. The reception staff and vet techs are gentle and kind with the bunnies and clearly provide a high quality of care. They make themselves incredibly available via phone and text, and have always been more than happy to answer my questions and concerns, no matter the frequency or time of day. I truly believe this is an office built on a genuine love for animals and a competent expertise, and it comes through constantly. They have been literal life savers for my babies, and I highly recommend them.

Oct 30, 2024 · Abigail FarisonI visited Exotic Animal Veterinary Center a few days ago. My 14yr old leopard gecko has been having shedding issues and her eye wasnt looking well..it was closed shut. Due to the fires, her appointment was moved to the following day and the staff promptly called me to reschedule which I admired. When I arrived the next day, I was immediantly set up into an exam room. The tech ( can't remember her name, sorry) was SO gentle with my gecko and she answered my questions. The doctor, Laurence Labrecque, came in shortly after and listened to my geckos heart rate. She gave me so much information that I wasn't even aware of! Dr Labrecque was extremely informative. My gecko was very stressed and the team patiently took her blood work and X-rays not to over stress her. I received discharge instructions in detail and my gecko is currently looking very well, both eyes are wide open and she's looking like her regular self! I am waiting for blood work results, but I must say the skill to have the patience with little animals such as leopard geckos is extremely impressive and I am grateful for this team. Thank you Dr Labrecque and team! Also, they have a texting system in place and I have asked a few questions which they have responded to. Awesome service and thank you all again for your patience with my little one.
Jan 12, 2025 · Paige S.Updated 2024: After requesting past records since we moved and now with a different vet these are the conclusions we have come to. Sari Kanfer is a great vet who knows how to take care of Exotics very well although we had issues with her staff and her notes on medical records. *We were most definitely scammed monetary wise and they made us pre-pay for appointments when we told them we were tight on money one month later. Emergency care totaled to be around $7,800 for our rabbit and we had trouble paying since we had to put it on credit cards per their recommendation or they wouldn't work on our rabbit. Our other vet said they only would've charged max $2,000 for the exact same services and care for G.I. Stasis. We read the patient notes and there are blatant lies and discrepancies as to what information they told us at the appointments and what they notated. Keeping us in the dark was obviously the goal but on the medical notes they have claimed to give us all the information. Yet the only time we got the clear patient notes and health info for our rabbit was when stated we had moved so we could no longer be cash cows. Overall we are disappointed as this lead to our rabbit having more health issues in the long run.* Previous Review before we moved Vet care: There are not enough words to say...THANK YOU for everything they do and have done for our bunny. Dr. Kanfer is hands down the best rabbit doctor I've ever come across. She is kind, prompt, very explanatory, understanding and goes beyond just being a normal doctor/vet she along with everyone on her team truly CARE about rabbits. She also wears a bunny necklace which we thought was the sweetest detail. Dr. Kanfer went as far as caring for our bunny who went into GI Stasis and took him for overnight care to her home with frequent updates during late hours when the emergency vet wouldn't. We almost lost our bunny but they did everything they could to communicate and treat him with the best level of care. We are so grateful and appreciate all the time we get to have with our bunny, he is binkying around our living room as I write this. They also have offered us resources the emergency care bill being high. We can not thank them enough for the love and care they've provided for our bunny and HIGHLY recommended this vet to any and all rabbit/exotic pet owners.
Dec 09, 2024 · Sierra DawnIn regards to a review about unfair vet prices and preying on pet owners. Veterinary care in general is expensive. My sons dogs ear infection cost him 750 dollars…an ear infection. This is a dog too keep that in mind not an exotic…of course exotic care will cost more their exotics. If you want to talk about preying on the owners… my experience with that cost me 8 months of vet visits and 2 surgeries costing over 3500 dollars only for this so called “rabbit vet” to tell me he doesn’t know what’s wrong. When just 1 visit with Dr. Silpa ( who is an amazing exotics vet) took one look into my little bunnies mouth and quickly diagnosed him with advanced dental disease. If I had taken my bunny there from the beginning over all I would have SAVED money. So it REALLY does matter to find a good QUALITY vet who knows what they’re doing to take care of your special friends. Fast forward 4 months my bunny has been a happy hoppy bunny and no more roller coaster rides for him thanks to Dr Silpa!
Sep 06, 2024 · Gabby TinhakaOur first visit to EVAC was in July 2022 and we have been coming back ever since. When we first brought our rabbit here we were afraid and nervous but knew that she needed skilled exotic vets to care for her due to her significant dental issues. We drive over an hour to bring our rabbit, Spicy, here and it is worth it every time for the level of care Dr. Kanfer and her team can offer. The clinic is always clean and all of the staff members we have interacted with are kind and knowledgeable. There is always ample parking, making the clinic easily accessible. If you have a rabbit who needs dental care, EVAC is absolutely the first choice in my opinion! ❤️
