Jan 16, 2025 · Giana ZitaDr. Wendy Turner and the team at Exclusively Cats were incredible with our cat Tommy through his bout with kidney disease. Before meeting Dr. Turner in 2021, a different vet told my wife and I that Tommy had advanced kidney disease and would likely have 30 days to live. By a stroke of luck, the team at Pennsauken Animal Hospital said to wait to make a decision until we talk to Dr. Wendy Turner. She told us “it doesn’t have to be the end” if we were willing to care for him more aggressively. Dr. Turner was a quick phone call away from anything we needed as we navigated adjusting his medications, changing his food, and coming in for blood work every few months. We started working with Dr. Turner at Pennsauken Animal Hospital and even after we moved 1 hour away, I continued to take Tommy to her because of her amazing care. Then I followed her when she moved to Exclusively Cats, where Tommy continued to thrive and felt comfortable in a dedicated office for cats. Dr. Turner got to know our Tommy so well that she could notice slight differences in his heartbeat and heart murmur. She took her time with us during visits to answer so many questions about cat food recommendations, litter recommendations, and questions about cats' behavior since we had a new kitten in the house as well. We were lucky enough to afford the expense of caring for a sick cat and put in a lot of work to keep his health stable. Through Dr. Turner's amazing knowledge of cats, kidney disease, and her compassionate care, she kept our family whole for 30 extra months than we were originally told. I'm so incredibly grateful to have met her and will continue taking any of my cats to her office at Exclusively Cats in Medford.
Jun 02, 2024 · Mike BMyself and my roommate brought my cat, Yugi, to Exclusively Cats because he gets a bit anxious around big dogs, and I worry when it comes to vet offices because I've been to far too many that have recommended me terrible dry food brands and improper cat care. He is a clicker trained ESA, but first and foremost I consider him to be "My Tabby Son", so I was very worried when he stopped eating altogether and began vomiting nearly constantly. I was mere moments from having a panic attack when I first stepped into the facility, but I was immediately put at ease by the absolute sweetheart at the front desk, who greeted us warmly and immediately got us checked in and to an exam room. The level of care here is simply unmatched. We showed up early and were still seen swiftly. The vet and vet tech worked with us to try and accommodate a tense financial situation, and they were so kind to all of us, especially my sweet boy. My cats have been on a primarily wet-food diet the past couple years, and they also recommended we steer clear of dry food entirely (immediate green flag) and warned of the dangers of kidney disease, dehydration, and malnutrition, so I will be removing ALL dry food from their diet entirely. They showed us how to properly administer his treatment at home, gave us recommendations for animal hospitals we could take him to in an emergency, asked us to call back and update them over the weekend, advised us to bring him back if he's not better by Monday, and even gave me some resources on how I can train Yugi to let me brush his teeth because I'd passively mentioned I was trying to work with him on better dental care! If that weren't 5 star-worthy enough on its own, we were also given water while we waited for Yugi to come back from his X-rays (AC in the car is broken so the drive was a bit warm) and everyone was super understanding if either one of us needed a moment to step outside and destress. Both myself and my roommate have mild cognitive disabilities, but not a single person in this facility made either one of us feel awkward or talked down to, and I can't understate how much we appreciated that. They're also LGBTQIA+ friendly, and though my pronouns are fluid and I don't mind going by any, I don't doubt for a moment that your preferred pronouns and identity will be respected here and you and your cat will receive the same level of comprehensive care, regardless of whether you're outwardly queer-presenting or not. I simply can't recommend them enough, and I will be taking BOTH of my kitties to Exclusively Cats until I move back to Michigan with my fiancé to be closer to family. Furthermore, I will be very VERY sad to leave them behind when we relocate. I feel like five stars simply isn't enough to get the rating across, I would give it a minimum of 20. Yugi loved the place just as much as we did, so it's also cat-approved! He's back home with his 'nan' (my senior kitty) and already looking so much more comfortable. He's back to being a happy cinnamon roll, as pictured here.
Jun 13, 2024 · Maxella RoeI love being able to take my kitties to an exclusive cat vet. No bark dogs to stress them out even more. The vet tech and vet are both very knowledgeable and kind. They take their time and don't over book appointments. They are very patient and are willing to answer all questions and chat about any concerns.
Apr 12, 2022 · Lauren McHughMy senior cat has relocated to South Jersey. Instead of making her take an unwanted several hour car ride, I opted to find a Cat Only Veterinarian. I am Thrilled that I found Exclusively Cats of Medford. Penny is the receptionist, who is always a pleasure to talk with when I call in for an appointment and first friendly face we see when we walk into the office. Valarie and Maggie are Techs who see my cat. They are both patient and great with cats of all personalities. This works to my advantage as my girl is elderly, and has quite a "cat-a-tude". They take her in stride and never miss a beat. Treatments that my cat has needed and examinations are completed in rooms with pet parents present. This is comforting to me and my cat, as she can look out the window. Dr Turner is Amazing! I have learned so much from her in helping my elder cat live out her final years in comfort and happiness. She is knowledgeable and caring of her feline patients and she takes a lot of time explaining tests, medications, and care to the cat parents. Dr Turner explained a newer arthritis medicine, and I chose to try it for my 16 year old cat. She races and plays like she is half her age. When we come in for a tech only appointment, Dr Turner checks in to say hello and see how my girl is doing. My cat is not the best patient, but it doesn't matter, these folks are the best that I've ever taken a pet to. I Highly recommend anyone who has a cat and looking for an excellent experience for you and your cat, contact Exclusively Cats Medical Center of Medford, NJ.
