I didn’t get to experience this place and I’m glad I didn’t. My sister unfortunately gave this man her trust that he was right on her mini pig after talking to swine doctors who actually specialize with pigs and that’s when we realized he was misdiagnosed and given medication pigs don’t usually get prescribed if he’s so experienced tell me how you prescribe the wrong antibiotics to a baby mini pig? And then ignored phone calls all day and don’t return calls when she was calling concerned and he ends up dead and I call to try and get somewhere and explain the pain and hurt and he decided to have no caring compassion not say sorry for her loss nothing but could hang up on me . I suggest if you want proper care for your animals and a compassionate person who cares about the animals health and the caregiver you DO NOT WANT TO GO TO DR JOE!!!!!

Welcome to Ewaskiewicz Joseph I VMD, PhD/Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic, Inc
Welcome to Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic, Inc., also known as Ewaskiewicz Joseph I VMD, PhD, your local pet hospital situated at 104 E Main St, Millheim, PA 16854, USA. As a dedicated pet hospital within the broader category of veterinary care, Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic aims to provide essential services and potentially goods for the health and well-being of your animal companions. You can reach them at (814) 349-5605 or their mobile number +1 814-349-5605.
Understanding the environment and atmosphere of a pet hospital is crucial for pet owners seeking care. Based on the limited information available online, it is challenging to provide a detailed description of the clinic's physical environment. Typically, a well-equipped pet hospital like Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic would strive to offer a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for both pets and their owners. This would likely include examination rooms for consultations, treatment areas for various medical procedures, and potentially surgical suites for more complex interventions. Depending on the size and scope of the clinic, there might also be separate waiting areas for different types of animals to minimize stress, as well as potentially boarding facilities for animals requiring overnight or extended care. The presence of diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound devices, and in-house laboratories would also be indicative of a comprehensive pet hospital.
The services offered by a pet hospital generally encompass a wide range of medical and surgical care for various animal species. While specific details regarding the services provided by Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic are not extensively available online, standard offerings at a pet hospital typically include:
Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of animal health and includes routine check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, parasite control (such as fleas, ticks, and heartworms), and nutritional counseling to ensure pets maintain a healthy weight and diet. Preventative care aims to detect potential health issues early and maintain the overall well-being of the animal.
Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose illnesses and injuries, pet hospitals utilize various diagnostic tools. These can include physical examinations, laboratory tests (blood work, urine analysis, fecal exams), imaging techniques (X-rays, ultrasounds), and potentially more specialized procedures depending on the complexity of the case.
Medical Treatment: This involves the management and treatment of various medical conditions, ranging from common ailments to more complex diseases. This could include administering medications, providing supportive care, and developing treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of the animal.
Surgical Services: Many pet hospitals offer surgical procedures, which can range from routine surgeries like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries. The availability of surgical services often depends on the expertise of the veterinarians and the facilities available at the clinic.
Dental Care: Dental health is an important aspect of overall pet health. Services may include routine dental cleanings, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases.
Emergency Care: Some pet hospitals offer emergency services for urgent medical situations that require immediate attention. It is advisable to confirm if Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic provides emergency services and their hours of operation.
Specialty Services: Depending on the veterinarians on staff or through collaborations with specialists, a pet hospital might offer specialized services in areas such as dermatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, or oncology.
Euthanasia and End-of-Life Care: Providing compassionate care during the final stages of a pet's life is a critical service offered by veterinary clinics. This includes euthanasia services and support for grieving pet owners.
Features that might distinguish a pet hospital include the experience and qualifications of the veterinary staff, the availability of advanced medical equipment, the range of species they treat (some clinics specialize in small animals like dogs and cats, while others may also care for exotic pets or livestock), and their commitment to patient care and client communication.
However, it is essential to consider all available information when evaluating a veterinary care provider. The provided customer reviews raise serious concerns regarding the care provided at Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic, specifically mentioning a misdiagnosis and incorrect medication prescribed to a mini pig, allegedly leading to its death. The reviews also describe a lack of communication and compassion from the veterinarian. These are significant issues that potential clients should be aware of and consider carefully when making decisions about their pet's healthcare.
Given these critical reviews, it is challenging to objectively highlight positive promotional information for Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic based solely on the provided data. Typically, promotional information for a pet hospital might focus on their experienced and compassionate staff, state-of-the-art facilities, comprehensive range of services, commitment to patient well-being, and perhaps any special offers or community involvement. However, in light of the negative feedback, it is crucial for prospective clients to conduct further research, seek additional reviews from various sources, and potentially consider visiting the clinic for an initial consultation to form their own informed opinion.
It is always recommended to prioritize your pet's health and safety by choosing a veterinary care provider that demonstrates competence, compassion, and a commitment to clear communication. While Penns Valley Veterinary Clinic is listed as a local pet hospital in Millheim, PA, the serious allegations raised in the customer reviews warrant careful consideration and further investigation by pet owners seeking veterinary services in the area.
