Epperson Veterinary Services Introduce
Welcome to Epperson Veterinary Services, a Pet Hospital located at 13659 US-41 in Evansville, Indiana. While we have provided care for pets in the community for many years, customer experiences appear to be mixed, with positive feedback regarding some staff members and concerns raised about others.
The environment at Epperson Veterinary Services is described by one customer as having a very friendly front desk staff, with Tammy specifically mentioned for her positive demeanor. This suggests a welcoming initial point of contact. However, another customer reported a less positive experience with Dr. Switzer, citing a condescending tone during examinations.
At Epperson Veterinary Services, our services include routine care such as vaccinations and teeth cleanings, as well as surgical procedures. One long-term client expressed deep gratitude for the care their puppy received, highlighting the emotional support provided by the clinic. However, another customer voiced concerns about Dr. Switzer's attempts to steer them towards purchasing medication from their in-house pharmacy, which was reportedly more expensive, and raising doubts about the authenticity of medication from online suppliers. There were also mentions of mandatory pre-payment for certain tests and increasing prices over the years. Furthermore, a significant concern was raised regarding recommendations for what the customer perceived as unnecessary surgery for an older dog, coupled with a lack of understanding regarding financial constraints.
A key feature of Epperson Veterinary Services is the friendly and supportive front desk staff. However, a potential concern raised by a customer is the reported condescending attitude of Dr. Switzer, as well as concerns about higher medication costs, mandatory pre-payments, rising prices, and recommendations for potentially unnecessary and expensive procedures. This suggests a possible inconsistency in the overall customer experience depending on the veterinarian encountered.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available. Local users in Evansville, IN, considering Epperson Veterinary Services should be aware of the contrasting experiences reported by customers. While some have felt well-supported and cared for, others have raised concerns about the demeanor of at least one of the veterinarians, pricing practices, and treatment recommendations. It may be prudent to discuss these aspects openly with the clinic before committing to their services. For appointments or inquiries, please contact us at (812) 867-3100 or +1 812-867-3100.

Jan 26, 2025 · Noela FrancisThe front desk staff was always very friendly, especially Tammy, but I was disappointed in the attitude and demeanor of Dr. Switzer. On several different occasions she has had a condescending tone with me during an exam. She tried to warn me that getting heartworm medication from Chewy could be fake, even if it appears real. She simply wants me to use her pharmacy which was higher in cost for medication. They also make you pre-pay for a fecal sample even if you don’t bring one in. Their prices have risen the past few years. But the ultimate reason I decided to forgo using this vet anymore was the way she has treated me with acting like I should be doing an unnecessary surgery for my dog who is older. I pay for my dog the basic care, immunizations, teeth cleanings, etc. but I will not put him through unnecessary surgery or be able to spend hundreds a month on medication and she simply cannot be understanding of that. Probably because she has no kids and only pets!
Mar 20, 2025 · L&LI left a horrible situation of 30 years with the same vet. They were dirty and stinky. I walked in Epperson's the place is spotless (always) and they have given me great peace of mind that my baby is very well taken care of. Thank you so much!
Jan 20, 2025 · Tami NewellWe just started taking out dog and two cats here within the last couple of months. We used to take our animals to a vet in the Fort Branch area but couldn’t afford the wait times there. We have a cat that has been urinating on things and other issues. They are very understanding when you don’t understand things and seem to do very thorough examinations and testing. We found out that cat has a thyroid issue. We were given a prescription for medications and options beforehand on how we wanted to handle the treatment. We were also offered information about a number of things including OTC treats to try to calm her daily anxiety. Throughout our times in the office and during phone calls questions have been answered very well and I never feel like I’m taking up someone’s day, which I appreciate immensely. The facility is clean and well staffed. If everything continues this way I think my husband and I will continue taking our fur babes here forever. We feel like they are getting the care they need and we trust them.
Sep 06, 2023 · Rebekah StatzThere really isn't a word that describes the hearts they have not only for your pets but also to the owner of the animal. They are very professional and detailed. Love the staff and always always very clean.
