The best place you can take your pet. Everyone cares about your pet’s wellbeing. The front office staff (Cheryl and Dawn) are always pleasant and welcoming. Not at all like previous practices I’ve gone to. I see Dr Sarah Madaio for all my pets needs.(Oliver, Emmett and now Maggie Mae) Dr Sarah Madaio is the best veterinarian I’ve ever had. She truly cares for your pets as if they were her own. The other veterinarians that work here are also highly qualified and all work with skilled vet techs that are extremely knowledgeable. If your tired of poor treatment and repeat vet visits that just seem to be draining your bank account at your current veterinary practice, give Ellenton Animal Hospital try. You and you pet(s) will be happy you did!!

This is such a great veterinarian clinic! My dog, Ric Flair, has some emotional issues and gets really anxious at new places. We got very lucky that his technician, Jess, is a huge wrestling fan! She quickly connected with him and figured out treats are his ultimate love language. It didn’t take long for them to become friends. And Dr. Peters has been so kind and knowledgeable with his care. Everyone at this clinic is consistently warm and caring. Ric Flair gives them his best WOOOOOOOO in appreciation!

I've had my share of experiences with veterinarians in the past which had me hesitating, however upon my recent visit, I was very surprised to have a much better experience. My cat was well taken care of and her age was a consideration (which I greatly appreciated) but more than that... I got a follow up phonecall! How refreshing! Yes, five stars and I'll return.

We have brought our beloved pets to Ellenton Animal Hospital for many years. While we've experienced our share of changes due to different owners and management, the one constant that has kept us grounded has been the exceptional care we receive from Dr. Sarah Madaio. Navigating all the transitions has been a journey, and it’s understandable why we felt hesitant to seek new veterinary care after being there for so long. Dr. Madaio has been a blessing since we first met her in October 2021 when we welcomed our two miniature brothers, Australian Shepherds, into our family. She also cares for our newest addition, our girl toy Australian Shepherd, who joined us in May 2023. We genuinely cherish the compassion and attention she gives to our fur babies. She never rushes through appointments, always taking the time to answer our questions and ensure we feel confident in the care our pets receive. Dr. Madaio was incredibly comforting during a tough time for us when we were caring for our two elderly Chihuahuas, who were 17 years old and struggling with cardiac conditions. We are eternally grateful for her gentle guidance when discussing end-of-life care options. It’s a heart-wrenching topic for any pet owner, but her empathy and understanding made a difference for us. Thanks to her care, both of our girls peacefully passed away in their sleep just shy of their 18th birthday—a comfort we will always hold dear. Dr. Madaio's dedication to her patients is remarkable, and we recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate veterinarian. While we may sometimes feel frustrated with the hospital's changing policies and environment, this pales compared to our trust and care in Dr. Madaio.
